<![CDATA[Songs usually contain figures of speech with implied meanings that are usually not understood by the listener. This research aim is to describe the figure of speech in the song "Untuk Kita Renungkan" by Ebiet G. Ade so that readers can understand the implied meaning of this song. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive document/text study design. The focus of this research is to analyze the language style in the form of figures of speech contained in the lyrics of the song "Untuk Kita Renungkan" by Ebiet G. Ade. The primary data source for this research is the lyrics of the song "Untuk Kita Renungkan" by Ebiet G. Ade and the secondary data source is in the form of journals or readings from previous research that are relevant to the research discussion. Hermeneutics was used as an approach in this research. Data was collected using note-taking techniques. Research data was processed using descriptive analysis techniques. Data analysis was carried out by reading, analyzing, noting and concluding. The results of the analysis show that in the song "Untuk Kita Renungkan" by Ebiet G. Ade there is one dysphemism figure of speech, one synesthesia figure of speech, three symbolic figures of speech, four repetition figures of speech, seven metaphor figures of speech, three personification figures of speech, two pleonage figures of speech, one oxymoron figure of speech, and one apostrophe figure of speech. <![CDATA[Basically, the role of language in communication, whether verbal or written, is very important. Basically, the interaction process can run smoothly if the communicator and the interlocutor understand the context, both the situational context and the sociocultural context of the topic being discussed. The main aim of this analysis is to describe the context and text of the opinion article "Beware of the 2024 Homecoming Explosion" in the Sunday, March 24 2024 edition of the Kompas newspaper by Wihana Kirana Jaya. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is the reading and note-taking technique, which is a method for exploring problems contained in opinion news. The data analysis used in this research went through four stages, namely the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini menjabarkan fenomena yang terjadi akibat dari adanya nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam masyarakat dan juga latar belakang penulis. Analisis semiotika ini menggunakan Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif. Analisis puisi yang akan dilakukan selanjutnya dijabarkan menggunakan pendekatan ini untuk melihat makna yang berasal dari fenomena masyarakat dan juga melihat latar belakang penulis untuk digunakan sebagai pengajaran dan juga hiburan. Penelitian ini menggunakan proses analisis menggukana analisis interaktif dimulai dari reduksi data, selanjutnya adalah penampilan data,terakhir adalah penarikan kesimpulan. Data yang di dapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut pada puisi Maret yang Pahit memiliki makna konotasi dan denotasi, makna yang paling banyak ditampilkan adalah makna konotasi. Puisi ini menampilkan bentuk kisah seorang guru akibat dari adanya pandemi.]]>

<![CDATA[Fenomena penggunaan bahasa Indonesia bercampur bahasa Inggris sudah menjadi hal biasa di era globalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak globalisasi terhadap penggunaan bahasa Indonesia bercampur bahasa Inggris dan menjelaskan tentang kesalahan dalam pencampuran bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data dari media sosial TikTok. Penelitian menemukan bahwa penggunaan bahasa Indonesia bercampur bahasa Inggris sangat umum terjadi di media sosial TikTok. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dampak globalisasi menyebabkan terjadinya berbagai kesalahan dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia, seperti penggunaan bahasa campuran yang tidak sesuai dengan situasi dan penggunaan bahasa yang tidak benar. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk menjaga penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dengan benar dan tidak tercampur dengan bahasa Inggris untuk menunjukkan jati diri bangsa dan melestarikan budaya bangsa. <![CDATA[This research examines the use of figurative language in William Shakespeare's sonnets, focusing on the use of complex literary devices such as simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, metonymic imagery, alliteration, repetition, parallelism, and antithesis. By analyzing these elements in Sonnet 18 and Sonnet 116, this study reveals how Shakespeare's word choice and literary techniques deepen the themes and emotional resonance of his poetry. The study uses a combination of deconstructive reading, comparative analysis, and reader response theory to provide a comprehensive understanding of figurative language in these sonnets. The analysis identified a total of 20 figurative languages used in Sonnet 18 and Sonnet 116. The findings highlight the enduring impact of Shakespeare's work on the English literary tradition and its relevance in contemporary literary studies.]]>

<![CDATA[This research has an urgency to explore the use of language styles by raising the perspective of feminism in the novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis. Hati Suhita is a contemporary Indonesian literary work that not only tells the story of women's lives within the framework of culture and religion, but also highlights feminist issues that are relevant to the modern social context. This research aims to explore the messages of feminism through language styles in the novel. In this novel, Khilma Anis uses various stylistic elements such as metaphor, simile, irony, and symbolism to strengthen her feminist narrative. This study uses the textual analysis method to identify and analyze the use of these elements and how they function in conveying feminist messages. The results of the analysis show that the use of metaphor and symbolism in Hati Suhita can help deepen readers' understanding of women's struggle against patriarchy and restrictive social norms. For example, the use of metaphors related to nature and spiritual elements illustrate the complexity of women's emotions and inner strength. In addition, irony is often used to criticize gender injustice and unfair social expectations of women. Similes are used to draw strong comparisons between the conditions of women in the novel and the situations women face in real life.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to investigate the historical context and messages contained in the novel Laut Bercerita, with the aim of enriching our understanding of the past that shaped the nation’s identity. The main themes in the novel are analyzed to relate them to the historical and political context of the New Order era, in the hope of opening up insights into the political and social circumstances of the time. The research method uses a literature approach by analyzing relevant literature sources. The results showed that the novel Laut Bercerita depicts the struggle of activists in the New Order era against the authoritarian government that ignored the fate of the small people. The characters of the activists who are brave, passionate, caring for others, and critical are considered as role models. From this novel, we are reminded of the dangers of authoritarian regimes that suppress critical voices, the importance of continuing to fight for truth and justice, and not forgetting Indonesia’s dark history during the New Order era. By remembering the suffering, it is hoped that future generations can fight for the values of freedom and justice.]]>

<![CDATA[Magical realism is a fusion of elements of realism with fantasy or imagination beyond reason, which often occurs in society due to the influence of culture and belief. Among the literary works that have these elements, one of them is the novel Srimenanti by Joko Pinurbo. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. The theory used in analyzing this novel is Wendy B. Fariz’s theory. The research results show that there are five characteristics of magical realism. These five characteristics include: irreducible elements in the form of belief in myths and supernatural figures (eltece); (2) the phenomenal world in the form of belief in the tradition of the spirit month and the existence of God (religion); (3) doubts caused by figures supernatural (eltece) and magical objects in the form of painting equipment; (4) Merger of Territories in the form of a magical figure (elence) acting like a human; (5) Cracks in Time, Space, and Identity in the form of cracks in space, namely, guard posts, and identity cracks, happen to the character Srimenanti, who has an identity as a painter and a holy person, and the character Uncle Yusi as a teacher and spiritual advisor.]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pesan moral berupa norma agama, hukum dan adat istiadat dalam novel Api Tauhid karya Hasbiburrahman El-Shirazy. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti menentukan dan menggunakan langkah-langkah dalam mengumpulkan data dengan cara membaca, menandai, mencatat, dan memahami. Data yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini berupa ungkapan, kalimat yang berasal dari novel Api Tauhid karya Habiburrahman El-Shirazy. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti juga menyesuaikan data dan mengaitkan dengan teori yang digunakan peneliti. Berdasarkan ahsil penelitian, bentuk pesan moral yang ditemukan dalam novel Api Tauhid adalah: (1) pesan moral yang berdasarkan pada norma agama, (2) pesan moral yang berdasarkan pada norma hukum, dan (3) pesan moral yang berdasarkan pada norma adat istiadat.]]>

<![CDATA[Literature is an eternal cultural representation in written form. The novel Haniyah and Ala at Teteruga’s House was written by Erni Aladjai to perpetuate the culture of eastern Indonesia. This study aims to describe the living equipment and technology in the novel. This is interesting because novels are attached to relics that are rarely owned by modern society. The anthropological theory of literature is assisted in exploring the culture of life tools and technology. Descriptive qualitative research methods are applied to find cultural aspects in each storytelling of the novel. Furthermore, the data collection technique of observing, reading and taking notes is carried out as a step before conducting content analysis. The results of the research findings are the existence of living equipment and technology such as (i) clothing, (ii) shelter, (iii) relics, (iv) weapons, (v) production objects, (vi) transportation in the form of boats, and (vii) agricultural equipment. Through these findings, it can become a cultural discourse for readers, as well as a scientific anchor regarding local wisdom and locality.]]>
