Abstract

ABSTRACT Anemia is a pressing health problem worldwide, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. This condition occurs when the hemoglobin (Hb) level in the blood is below normal, disrupting the oxygen transport process to body tissues. The aim was to determine the effect of giving purple sweet potato onde-onde on increasing hemoglobin in students of SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who suffer from anemia. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were 60 female adolescents suffering from anemia at SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who were divided into treatment and comparison groups. The treatment group was given purple sweet potato onde-onde twice a day, each time giving 60 grams for 10 consecutive days. The data collected included hemoglobin levels, macronutrient intake, and iron, and were analyzed using appropriate statistical tests. Results The average hemoglobin level before treatment was 10.85 g/dl and after treatment was 11.94 g/dl with an average decrease of 1.090 g/dl. The results of the paired t-test showed a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05) which indicates that there is an effect of giving purple sweet potato onde-onde filled with chicken liver with the addition of green bean flour on increasing hemoglobin levels in students of SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who suffer from anemia. There is an effect of giving purple sweet potato onde-onde on increasing hemoglobin in students of SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who suffer from anemia. ABSTRAK Anemia merupakan salah satu permasalahan kesehatan yang bersifat mendesak di seluruh dunia, khususnya di negara-negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Kondisi ini terjadi ketika kadar hemoglobin (Hb) dalam darah berada di bawah nilai normal, sehingga proses transportasi oksigen ke jaringan tubuh menjadi terganggu. Tujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian onde-onde ubi ungu terhadap peningkatan hemoglobin pada siswa SMA 1 Liwa Lampung Barat 2025 yang menderita anemia. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah 60 remaja putri yang menderita anemia di SMA SMA 1 Liwa Lampung Barat 2025 yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dan pembanding. Kelompok perlakuan diberikan onde-onde ubi ungu 2 kali sehari, setiap kali pemberian sebanyak 60 gr diberikan selama 10 hari secara berturut-turut. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi hasil kadar hemoglobin, asupan zat gizi makro, dan fe, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik yang sesuai. Hasil Rata-rata kadar hemoglobin sebelum perlakuan sebesar 10,85 g/dl dan sesudah perlakuan sebesar 11,94 g/dl dengan rata-rata penurunan sebesar 1,090 g/dl. Hasil uji paired t-test menunjukkan nilai p-value 0.001 (<0.05) yang menunjukkan ada pengaruh pemberian onde-onde onde-onde ubi ungu isi hati ayam dengam penambahan tepung kacang hijau terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin pada siswa SMA 1 Liwa Lampung Barat 2025 yang menderita anemia. Ada pengaruh pemberian onde-onde ubi ungu terhadap peningkatan hemoglobin pada siswa SMA 1 Liwa Lampung Barat 2025 yang menderita anemia.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that occurs because blood glucose levels increase due to impaired insulin secretion. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between carbohydrate intake and physical activity with fasting blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at Puskesmas Mangkubumi in 2025. We used a cross-sectional design with 72 subject selected by quota sampling method. Chi-square was used to data analyze. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (68.1%), and aged 50-69 years (76.4%). The majority of respondents were in excess carbohydrate intake (41.7%), moderate physical activity (45.8%), and uncontrolled blood glucose levels (61.1%). Bivariate results showed carbohydrate intake (p=0.018) had a significant relationship with fasting blood glucose levels, while physical activity had no significant relationship with fasting blood glucose levels (p=0.128). Carbohydrate intake showed a significant association with fasting blood glucose levels, while physical activity is not significantly related to blood glucose levels in patients with T2DM. ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus adalah penyakit metabolik yang terjadi karena kadar glukosa darah meningkat akibat adanya gangguan sekresi insulin. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara asupan karbohidrat dan aktivitas fisik dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa pada penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2. Desain penelitian cross sectional dengan sampel 72 responden menggunakan metode quota sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden berjenis kelamin perempuan (68,1%), dan berusia 50-69 tahun (76,4%). Mayoritas responden berada pada asupan karbohidrat berlebih (41,7%), aktivitas fisik sedang (45,8%), dan kadar glukosa darah tidak terkontrol (61,1%). Hasil bivariat menunjukkan asupan karbohidrat (p=0,018) terdapat hubungan signifikan dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa, sedangkan aktivitas fisik tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa (p=0,128). Asupan karbohidrat memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kadar glukosa darah, sedangkan aktivitas fisik tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan kadar glukosa darah pada penderita DM tipe 2.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Academic achievement among elementary school children is influenced by various factors, including nutritional status, diet quality, and nutrition knowledge. These factors play a crucial role in supporting cognitive development and learning performance. This study aimed to analyze the association between diet quality, nutritional status, and nutrition knowledge as predictors of academic achievement among elementary school children. A cross-sectional design was employed, involving 60 students selected using simple random sampling. Nutritional status was assessed using body mass index-for-age (BMI/A), diet quality was evaluated using a diet quality index score (range 0–100), and nutrition knowledge was measured using a standardized questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26. The Kolmogorov–Smirnov test was performed to confirm normality before conducting Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analyses. The results showed significant correlations between academic achievement and diet quality (r = 0.42; p = 0.0012), nutritional status (r = 0.36; p = 0.0045), and nutrition knowledge (r = 0.28; p = 0.0321). Multiple regression analysis revealed that all three variables were significant predictors of academic achievement, with R² = 0.42 and adjusted R² = 0.39, indicating that 39% of the variance in academic achievement was explained by these predictors. In conclusion, diet quality, nutritional status, and nutrition knowledge contribute significantly to improving academic achievement among elementary school children. ABSTRAK Prestasi belajar anak sekolah dasar dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, di antaranya status gizi, kualitas konsumsi makanan, dan pengetahuan gizi. Ketiga faktor tersebut berperan penting dalam mendukung perkembangan kognitif dan kemampuan akademik anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas konsumsi makanan, status gizi, dan pengetahuan gizi dengan prestasi belajar pada anak sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 anak yang dipilih secara acak sederhana. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan untuk menentukan status gizi berdasarkan indeks massa tubuh menurut umur (IMT/U), penilaian kualitas konsumsi makanan menggunakan skor indeks kualitas diet (rentang 0–100), serta kuesioner pengetahuan gizi terstandar. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 26. Uji normalitas Kolmogorov–Smirnov dilakukan sebelum analisis bivariat dengan korelasi Pearson dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas konsumsi makanan (r = 0,42; p = 0,0012), status gizi (r = 0,36; p = 0,0045), dan pengetahuan gizi (r = 0,28; p = 0,0321) berhubungan signifikan dengan prestasi belajar. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan ketiga variabel tersebut merupakan prediktor signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar, dengan nilai R² sebesar 0,42 dan Adjusted R² sebesar 0,39. Dengan demikian, kualitas konsumsi makanan, status gizi, dan pengetahuan gizi terbukti berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar anak sekolah dasar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Uric acid and High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) are important biomarkers associated with the risk of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Hyperuricemia is known to increase the risk of hypertension, metabolic syndrome, and heart disease, while low HDL levels contribute to atherosclerosis. However, the relationship between uric acid and HDL levels is still not entirely consistent in various studies. This study aims to analyze the relationship between uric acid and HDL levels in Prolanis patients at the Kedaton Community Health Center, Bandar Lampung. The study used a cross-sectional design involving 42 respondents aged 42–76 years. Data were collected through venous blood examination of 8 ml. HDL levels were measured using the Chod-Pap method, while uric acid levels were measured using the Uricase method. Data analysis used the Pearson test with a significance level of p <0.05. Based on the average HDL level of respondents was 49.79 ± 7.67 mg/dl, while uric acid levels were 7.17 ± 8.13 mg/dl. Correlation analysis showed a significant positive relationship between uric acid levels and HDL (r=0.339; p=0.028). There was a positive relationship between uric acid levels and HDL, indicating that uric acid, at certain levels, may act as an antioxidant that supports lipid metabolism. However, high uric acid levels remain a risk factor for metabolic disease. Further research with larger samples is needed to confirm these findings. ABSTRAK Asam urat dan High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) merupakan biomarker penting yang berhubungan dengan risiko penyakit metabolik dan kardiovaskular. hiperurisemia diketahui meningkatkan risiko hipertensi, sindrom metabolik, dan penyakit jantung, sementara kadar hdl rendah berkontribusi pada aterosklerosis. namun, hubungan antara kadar asam urat dan HDL masih belum sepenuhnya konsisten dalam berbagai studi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kadar asam urat dan kadar HDL pada pasien prolanis di puskesmas kedaton, bandar lampung. Penelitian menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan melibatkan 42 responden berusia 42–76 tahun. data dikumpulkan melalui pemeriksaan darah vena sebanyak 8 ml. kadar hdl diukur dengan metode chod-pap, sedangkan kadar asam urat dengan metode uricase. analisis data menggunakan uji pearson dengan tingkat signifikansi p<0,05. Berdasarkan rata-rata kadar HDL responden adalah 49,79 ± 7,67 mg/dl, sedangkan kadar asam urat 7,17 ± 8,13 mg/dl. analisis korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif signifikan antara kadar asam urat dan hdl (r=0,339; p=0,028). Terdapat hubungan positif antara kadar asam urat dan HDL, yang mengindikasikan bahwa asam urat pada kadar tertentu mungkin berperan sebagai antioksidan yang mendukung metabolisme lipid. namun, kadar asam urat yang tinggi tetap berisiko terhadap penyakit metabolik. penelitian lanjutan dengan sampel lebih besar diperlukan untuk mengonfirmasi temuan ini.

Abstract

ABSSTRACT Breast milk is the best nutrition for optimal growth and development in infants. It is essential for a child's growth and intelligence. Infants who are not exclusively breastfed until the first six months of life are at risk of developing infectious diseases such as severe diarrhea. This study was descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 38 respondents. The study was conducted in Bumi Waras Village, Bumi Waras District, Bandar Lampung City. Data collection took place in April 2024. Data analysis used chi square test. The results of the study showed that 10.5% of babies received exclusive breastfeeding. Mother who had low knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding was 63.2%, received rooming in care were 34.2%, carried out early breastfeeding initiation were 50%, found history difficulty in breastfeeding were 92.1%. Chi square test showed that there were no significant relationship between  exclusive breastfeeding and early breastfeeding initiation (p = 0.113), rooming in (p = 0.207), mothers' knowledge (p = 0.788). There was a significant relationship between breastfeeding techniques exclusive breastfeeding and exlusive breastfeeding (p = 0.02). The Community Health Center can provide education to pregnant women to choose health facilities that provide Rooming In and Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD). Health workers should provide education on exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding techniques to mothers from pregnancy through integrated health posts, pregnancy classes, and community health centers. ABSTRAK Air Susu Ibu (ASI) merupakan nutrisi terbaik bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan optimal bayi. Air susu ibu sangat diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan dan kecerdasan anak. Bayi yang tidak diberikan ASI eksklusif hingga usia enam bulan pertama kehidupan akan berisiko terkena diare yang parah dan fatal. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel berjumlah 38 responden. Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Bumi Waras Kecamatan Bumi Waras Kota Bandar Lampung. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2024. Analisis data menggunakan chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bayi yang mendapatkan ASI eksklusif 10,5% . Pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI eksklusif dengan kategori cukup 63,2%,  Ibu yang mendapatkan perawatan rooming in 34,2%, melakukan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) sebesar 50%, ditemukan riwayat kesukaran pada saat menyusui sebesar 92,1%.  Hasil uji chi square  didapat tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara  ASI eksklusif dengan IMD (p= 0.113), rooming in (p= 0.207), pengetahuan ibu ( p= 0,788). Teknik menyusui berhubungan dengan  ASI eksklusif (p= 0.02).  Puskesmas dapat memberikan edukasi kepada ibu hamil untuk memilih fasilitas kesehatan yang menyediakan Rooming In dan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD). Petugas kesehatan agar dapat memberikan edukasi tentang ASI eksklusif dan teknik menyusui kepada ibu sejak kehamilan melalui posyandu dan kelas ibu hamil serta puskesmas.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Noodles are a widely favored food in society. In addition to being affordable and easy to prepare, noodles can serve as an alternative staple food to rice for many Indonesians. Among the many types of noodle products available on the market, dried noodles are particularly competitive and high carbohydrate content. The aimed of study was evaluate the acceptability of noodles modified with skipjack tuna flour and green spinach flour. The method of study was using a completely randomized design (CRD) which was used with four treatments and three replications. Data were collected using an organoleptic test form and analyzed using the Friedman test, followed by the Wilcoxon post-hoc test. Results of study was revealed the most preferred sample in terms of taste was P1 with a score of 3.64. For aroma, P1 was also most preferred with scoring 3.81. The highest preference for color was P1 with scoring 3.98, and for texture, P1 scored the highest at 3.83. The Friedman analysis was indicated the different between four formula in aspect taste, color, aroma, and texture (p = 0,000). The conclusion based on the organoleptic tests, the most accepted formulation in terms of taste, aroma, color, and texture was P1, which contained 5 grams of skipjack tuna flour and 5 grams of green spinach flour. The Mikcabahy product can be use alternative food product high nutrition density. ABSTRAK Mi merupakan makanan yang sangat digemari masyarakat, selain murah dalam pengolahannya yang praktis, mi juga merupakan makanan yang dapat menggantikan nasi sebagai makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia. Produk mi yang bersaing di pasaran adalah mi kering dengan kandungan karbohidrat yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui uji daya terima mi modifikasi tepung ikan cakalang dan tepung bayam hijau. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan serta tiga kali replikasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan formulir uji organoleptik dan analisis data menggunakan uji Friedman dan uji lanjut Wilcoxon post-hoc test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kesukaan rasa yang paling disukai adalah P1 dengan nilai 3,64 dengan modifikasi tepung ikan cakalang dengan tepung bayam hijau pada aroma yang disukai yaitu P1 dengan nilai 3,81 pada warna yang paling banyak disukai yaitu P1 dengan nilai 3,98 sedangkan pada tekstur mendapatkan nilai P1 tertinggi 3,82. Analisis uji Friedman menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan antara empat formula pada aspek rasa, warna, aroma, dan tekstur (p = 0,000). Kesimpulan berdasarkan uji organoleptik yang paling disukai mi pada aspek rasa, aroma, warna, dan tekstur adalah P1 dengan modifikasi tepung ikan cakalang 5 gram dan tepung bayam hijau 5 gram. Produk olahan pangan Mikcabahy dapat digunakan sebagai produk makanan alternatif dengan kandungan gizi yang tinggi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Iron deficiency anemia remains a major nutritional problem among adolescent girls, caused by low dietary iron intake and monthly menstrual blood loss. To prevent anemia, the Indonesian government has implemented a weekly iron supplementation program (Tablet Tambah Darah, TTD) for school-aged girls since 2014. However, adherence to TTD remains low, limiting program effectiveness. Adherence is influenced by students’ attitudes, support from parents or teachers, and perceived behavioral control. This study aimed to examine the relationship between attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control with TTD adherence among adolescent girls. A cross-sectional study was conducted at SMP Kartika II-2 Bandar Lampung, including the total population of seventh- and eighth-grade female students (n = 73). The dependent variable was TTD adherence, measured using the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8 (MMAS-8), while independent variables included attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results showed that 65.8% of students were non-adherent to TTD. Significant associations were found between attitude (p = 0.044; OR = 1.8), subjective norms (p = 0.010; OR = 2.3), and perceived behavioral control (p = 0.000; OR = 3.6) with adherence. It is recommended that schools, through teachers and school health staff, implement a structured weekly TTD schedule and enhance supervision to improve adherence among students ABSTRAK Anemia defisiensi besi masih menjadi masalah gizi pada remaja putri, disebabkan rendahnya asupan zat besi dari makanan sehari-hari dan kehilangan darah bulanan akibat menstruasi. Untuk mencegah anemia, pemerintah Indonesia telah menjalankan program suplementasi zat besi melalui Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) mingguan bagi siswi sejak 2014. Namun, kepatuhan minum TTD masih rendah sehingga efektivitas program belum optimal. Kepatuhan dipengaruhi oleh sikap, dukungan orang tua atau guru, dan kontrol perilaku yang dimiliki remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara sikap, norma subjektif, dan kontrol perilaku dengan kepatuhan minum TTD pada remaja putri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional di SMP Kartika II-2 Bandar Lampung dengan total populasi siswi kelas VII dan VIII sebanyak 73 orang. Variabel dependen adalah kepatuhan minum TTD, diukur menggunakan Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8 (MMAS-8), sedangkan variabel independen adalah sikap, norma subjektif, dan kontrol perilaku. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil menunjukkan 65,8% siswi tidak patuh minum TTD. Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara sikap (p = 0,044; OR = 1,8), norma subjektif (p = 0,010; OR = 2,3), dan kontrol perilaku (p = 0,000; OR = 3,6) dengan kepatuhan. Disarankan agar sekolah, melalui guru dan petugas UKS, menyusun jadwal pemberian TTD mingguan dan meningkatkan pengawasan untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan siswi.
