Abstract

The rapid growth of social media has transformed crisis communication by enabling the public to quickly shape and disseminate opinions about organizations. This development presents significant challenges for financial technology (fintech) companies, including DANA, during the 2024 missing balance issue that attracted widespread public attention on social media. This study aims to analyze university students' perceptions of DANA's crisis communication response using the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) framework. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Informants were selected through purposive sampling, while data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that students' perceptions were primarily influenced by the timeliness of the company's response, information transparency, message consistency, and organizational empathy throughout the crisis. Perception formation was also shaped by social experiences, interpersonal communication, social media exposure, and digital literacy. Furthermore, cancel culture emerged as a form of social evaluation reflected in declining public trust, increased user caution, and the widespread dissemination of negative opinions toward the organization rather than a complete boycott. This study extends the application of SCCT by demonstrating that organizational responsibility attribution in the digital era is constructed through the interaction between corporate crisis communication strategies and the dynamics of social media communication. The findings highlight the importance of responsive, transparent, dialogic, and adaptive crisis communication strategies for fintech companies to maintain public trust and protect organizational reputation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the accountability and transparency of the financial management of Al-Falah Mosque in Surabaya based on ISAK 35 as the financial reporting standard for non-profit entities. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using primary data obtained through interviews with the mosque management and secondary data in the form of the Al-Falah Mosque’s 2023 financial statements. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that Al-Falah Mosque has implemented most of the provisions of ISAK 35 through the preparation of a statement of financial position, statement of activities, statement of changes in net assets, and statement of cash flows. Accountability is demonstrated through the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal supervision, annual financial reporting, and evaluation based on reward and punishment mechanisms. Transparency is reflected in the open disclosure of information to the public, deliberative decision-making processes, and the accessibility of financial documents. The implementation of accountability and transparency principles has enhanced public trust in the mosque’s financial management, encouraging greater community participation and support for its programs. Nevertheless, improvements are still needed in separating the statement of activities from the statement of changes in net assets and in complying with fund reporting requirements under ISAK 35. This study confirms that the implementation of ISAK 35 contributes to improving the quality of financial reporting, strengthening governance, and fostering public trust in religious institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of inclusive education in improving early reading skills for slow learner students in the first grade of SDN Sukamanah. The research is driven by the heterogeneity of literacy skills, where 5 students (19%) out of 26 total students are categorized as slow learners, characterized by short-term memory impairments and difficulty in visually distinguishing similar letter symbols. A qualitative case study method was employed, with data collection through participant observation, documentation, and oral cognitive tests. Intervention strategies included differentiated instruction in content, process, and learning environment, the use of interactive media such as Interactive Flat Panels (IFP) and individualized scaffolding. The results indicated that 20 students (77%) achieved reading independence. Specifically, the slow learner group showed an average score increase of 30.80%, rising from an initial 34.67% (Needs Guidance category) to 65.47% (Fair category). These findings prove that the integration of differentiation strategies and multisensory stimulation through interactive technology effectively bridges cognitive barriers, providing equitable learning opportunities within an inclusive education setting.

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools is crucial for accommodating student diversity; however, students with intellectual disabilities often face significant cognitive barriers in listening comprehension of oral messages. This study aims to analyze the application and effectiveness of inclusive learning in the material of listening to oral messages for regular students and students with intellectual disabilities in Grade VI of elementary school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, involving class teachers, regular students, and students with intellectual disabilities as research subjects. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed using an interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that the integration of differentiation strategies, the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, and the Assessment for Learning (AfL) approach can improve the understanding of oral messages in both groups of students. Content modification through simplified language, process adjustment with instruction repetition techniques, and the use of audio-visual-based multimodal media proved effective in overcoming the attention and short-term memory barriers of students with intellectual disabilities. In conclusion, adaptive inclusive learning successfully creates equitable access to learning without neglecting the academic progress of regular students.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed digital journalistic practices, particularly in information searching, transcription, data processing, and news draft preparation. This transformation raises questions about the sustainability of the journalism profession amid the increasing automation of work. This study aims to explore how journalists construct career optimism in the AI era and how human touch is interpreted as a source of confidence in the sustainability of the journalism profession. This study employed a qualitative approach using interpretative phenomenology. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with eight digital journalists and analyzed using thematic analysis. Data trustworthiness was strengthened through member checking. The findings revealed three main themes: AI as a work partner that supports technical tasks while still requiring human control; human touch as a professional advantage that also strengthens journalists’ professional identity; and journalists’ authority in maintaining information credibility. These findings indicate that journalists’ career optimism is not naive; rather, it is formed through critical adaptation, the reinforcement of professional identity, and the interpretation of human values in journalistic practice.

Abstract

This study analyzed the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in supporting service effectiveness at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Depati Hamzah Pangkalpinang. The study was motivated by the need for accurate, fast, integrated, and secure patient information management in hospital services. A qualitative descriptive approach was used with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. Eleven informants who were directly involved in the use and management of EMR were selected purposively. The analysis focused on input, process, and output aspects, including human resources, technology, policy, funding, planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and service outcomes. The findings showed that EMR implementation supported service effectiveness by accelerating access to patient information, improving administrative efficiency, reducing paper-based records, supporting inter-unit coordination, and improving the quality of medical record data. However, several obstacles remained, including unstable networks, uneven user competence, incomplete data entry, limited integration of electronic signatures, and the need for stronger monitoring. Therefore, EMR implementation requires continuous improvement through user training, infrastructure strengthening, policy reinforcement, system development, and regular evaluation to ensure that EMR contributes optimally to hospital service quality.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia. Treatment success is a crucial benchmark in TB control efforts, influenced by various patient- and health system-related factors. This study aimed to examine the determinants of treatment success among tuberculosis patients in Pangkalpinang City during 2025. This quantitative analytical study employed a cross-sectional design using secondary data from the Tuberculosis Information System (SITB) of the Pangkalpinang City Health Office. The sample consisted of 874 TB patients who met the inclusion criteria, selected via total sampling. Data analysis involved univariate, bivariate (Chi-Square test), and multivariate (logistic regression) methods. The TB treatment success rate was recorded at 90.3%. Bivariate analysis revealed that HIV status was significantly correlated with treatment success (p<0.001), whereas age (p=0.082), gender (p=0.738), and type of health facility (p=0.090) did not show significant associations. Multivariate analysis results indicated that age (POR=1.697; 95%CI=1.046-2.754; p=0.032), HIV status (POR=2.172; 95%CI=1.642-2.872; p<0.001), and type of health facility (POR=2.468; 95%CI=1.443-4.222; p<0.001) were determinants of TB treatment success, with the type of health facility serving as the most dominant predictor of successful treatment outcomes.

Abstract

The implementation of e-Kinerja as part of bureaucratic reform and the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) is expected to improve the performance of the Civil Service (ASN). However, studies on the implementation of e-Kinerja both as a policy implementation process and in terms of its contribution to improving ASN performance at the subdistrict level remain limited. This study aims to analyze the implementation of e-Kinerja at the South Sinjai Subdistrict Office and its contribution to improving ASN performance. The study employs a qualitative method using a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation from 12 informants selected via purposive sampling, and were subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Policy implementation was analyzed using George C. Edward’s model, while performance improvement was analyzed through Armstrong’s perspective. The results indicate that the implementation of e-Kinerja has been effective, supported by good communication, an adaptive attitude among implementers, and a clear bureaucratic structure, although it still faces challenges such as limited supporting facilities, internet connectivity, and employees’ digital literacy. The implementation of e-Kinerja contributes to improving civil servant performance by strengthening performance planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation, which in turn leads to improved performance outcomes and employee discipline. However, the use of evaluation results for the coaching and competency development of civil servants still needs to be optimized to support continuous performance improvement.

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between self-efficacy and social comparison with impostor syndrome among Indonesian fresh graduates. Impostor syndrome has become increasingly prevalent during the transition from higher education to the workforce, as graduates often experience self-doubt, fear of being perceived as incompetent, and difficulty recognizing their achievements. A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 305 Indonesian fresh graduates who had graduated within the previous two years and were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using scales measuring impostor syndrome, self-efficacy, and social comparison. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and Pearson product-moment correlation. The findings indicated a significant simultaneous relationship between self-efficacy and social comparison with impostor syndrome (R = 0.660; R² = 0.435; p < 0.001). Self-efficacy was negatively associated with impostor syndrome, whereas social comparison was positively associated with impostor syndrome. The results suggested that individuals with higher self-efficacy tended to experience lower levels of impostor syndrome, while those who engaged more frequently in social comparison tended to experience higher levels of impostor syndrome. These findings highlighted the importance of strengthening self-efficacy and managing social comparison during the transition from university to professional life.
