Abstract

This study was motivated by the low entrepreneurial interest among female students at Nusa Cendana University due to low self-confidence, limited entrepreneurial competence, conventional mindsets, and restricted access to capital. The study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy and entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial interest, with self-efficacy serving as a mediating variable. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach with a sample of 110 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using a likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis. The results showed that digital literacy and entrepreneurship education had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest, while self-efficacy was able to mediate the relationship. The coefficient of determination value of 44.3% indicates that entrepreneurial interest was influenced by the variables examined in this study, while the remaining percentage was affected by other factors outside the model. Theoretically, this study enriches the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) through the role of self-efficacy as a mediating variable. Practically, the findings provide implications for universities in designing entrepreneurship learning that can strengthen students’ self-confidence to encourage entrepreneurial interest.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges of digital technology in promoting digital learning at An-Nur Integrated Islamic Junior High School amidst the era of disruption and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The urgency of this research lies in the vital need for educational institutions to adapt and equip students with 21st-century skills through technology integration. The goal is to build a holistic and sustainable digital learning ecosystem. The study employed a qualitative approach with a comprehensive strategy, emphasizing teacher capacity building as a key pillar. This was achieved through regular training and the use of artificial intelligence (AI), supported by adaptive leadership. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Findings indicate that although the school has provided modern hardware and software, significant challenges arise related to infrastructure, particularly internet access and stability, due to limited service providers. The school responded by considering proactive solutions such as satellite internet and community education, as well as implementing adaptive budget allocations for teacher training and educational technology. An integrated monitoring and evaluation system, including regular teacher meetings that facilitate discussion and collaborative problem-solving, ensures the initiative runs optimally. In conclusion, SMP IT An-Nur has demonstrated significant progress in fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation through budget flexibility, KPI-based human resource development, and transformational leadership to address digital challenges.

Abstract

Wastra refers to Indonesian traditional textiles, such as batik and Samarinda woven fabrics, which possess historical, aesthetic, and economic value as part of local cultural heritage. Amid increasing environmental issues, particularly water pollution caused by production activities, wastra has the potential not only as a cultural product but also as a communication medium for conveying sustainability values. This study aims to analyze the role of wastra as a medium for ecological education in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Samarinda City, and to understand how symbolic interaction processes shape ecological awareness and practices in wastra production. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method focusing on the practice of Samarinda weaving in Kampung Tenun. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with artisans, the Joint Business Group (KUB) Putri Mahakam, batik activists, consumers, and the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs of Samarinda City. The analysis was conducted using George Herbert Mead’s symbolic interactionism approach as further developed by Herbert Blumer. The findings indicate that the function of wastra as a medium for ecological education has not yet been integrated into promotional communication, such as exhibitions and tourism activities, resulting in only partial or fragmented contributions to the SDGs, particularly SDGs 8, 11, and 12. This study also contributes theoretically through the integration of symbolic interactionism, environmental communication, and the concept of communication fragmentation within the context of local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of collaborative and participatory leadership of the principal and its impact on teacher performance at SDN Gambut 4. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the principal and teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using an interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation and member checking. The results show that collaborative leadership is implemented through teacher collaboration in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning, supported by open and dialogic communication. Participatory leadership is reflected in teachers’ active involvement in decision-making, program planning, and evaluation through deliberative forums. Task delegation and teacher empowerment further indicate the distribution of leadership roles (shared leadership), strengthening collective responsibility. These leadership practices positively impact teacher performance, as seen in improved lesson planning, increased discipline and responsibility, enhanced instructional innovation, and stronger collaboration among teachers. The findings also highlight the role of effective communication and a supportive school culture in sustaining these improvements. This study confirms that modern educational leadership should emphasize empowerment, collaboration, and active participation to enhance teacher performance and improve the quality of primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the principal’s exemplary leadership in building a culture of integrity and ethics at SMKN 2 Pelaihari. The study is based on the importance of character development in education, which emphasizes not only academic achievement but also moral and ethical values. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 1 principal, 4 teachers, and 6 students selected purposively based on their involvement in and understanding of the school culture. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The findings show that the principal’s exemplary leadership played a significant role in shaping a culture of integrity through three main mechanisms: providing direct examples in daily behavior, maintaining consistency between words and actions, and transmitting values through interactions among the principal, teachers, and students. In addition, the culture of integrity was strengthened through habituation programs and character-building activities involving the entire school community. However, several challenges were identified, including differences in individual character and varying levels of awareness among school members. This study concludes that exemplary leadership is an effective strategy for building an ethical and integrity-based organizational culture and has important implications for strengthening values-based leadership in education.

Abstract

This study analyzed the effectiveness of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in improving students' critical thinking skills and understanding of labor law courses, particularly the material on legal protection for female workers. The transformation of the contemporary legal education paradigm required a shift from a teacher-centered approach to student-centered learning that developed students' critical analysis skills. The research used a Classroom Action Research design with a qualitative-quantitative approach involving 32 students from the Law Study Program at Madako Tolitoli University in the fourth semester of 2024. The research was conducted in two learning cycles following the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection instruments consisted of structured observation sheets, critical thinking assessment rubrics covering six dimensions interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation and semi-structured interview guides, analyzed using a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design. The results showed a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills of 55.2% from the first cycle to the second cycle, with the average score rising from 2.48 to 3.85, and 87.5% of students achieved the good category, exceeding the established success indicators. The PBL method facilitated collaborative learning that developed multidimensional perspectives and metacognitive skills essential for professional legal practice. These findings confirmed social constructivism theory and contributed significantly to pedagogical innovation in legal education.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low critical thinking skills of second-grade students at Sekolah Dasar Alam Muara Bungo in Indonesian language learning. Students were still less active in asking questions, had difficulty expressing opinions, and were unable to provide logical answers because the learning process was still teacher-centered and lacked engaging learning media. This study aimed to improve students’ critical thinking skills through the use of Mystery Box learning media. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were second-grade students of Sekolah Dasar Alam Muara Bungo. Data were collected through observation, tests, documentation, and field notes. The results showed an improvement in students’ critical thinking skills in each cycle. In the pre-cycle stage, learning mastery only reached 40%. After the implementation of the Mystery Box media in Cycle I, it increased to 60%, and further improved to 90% in Cycle II. Students became more active in asking and answering questions, expressing opinions, and providing simple reasons for their answers. Therefore, the use of Mystery Box media was effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of PSAK 109 at the National Amil Zakat Agency of Bangkalan Regency from the perspective of maqashid sharia. The issue raised is the suboptimal integration between the technical fulfillment of zakat financial reporting and the reflection of shariah welfare values in practice at the regional level. This research uses a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach thru in-depth interviews, observation of financial report documents, and documentation studies. Analysis was conducted on five components of the financial statements according to standards, namely the statement of financial position, statement of fund changes, statement of management asset changes, cash flow statement, and notes to the financial statements. The research results show that the financial statements have been prepared in accordance with PSAK 109 regulations, with a clear summary distinguishing between zakat funds, infak/sadaqah, amil funds, and non-halal funds. This practice not only meets the aspects of accountability and transparency but also reflects the safeguarding of wealth, life, and trust as per the objectives of maqashid sharia. The management of productive assets and detailed explanations in the notes to the financial statements demonstrate a sustainable orientation toward the welfare of the mustahik.

Abstract

Ellipsis is a language syntactical phenomenon where a word or some words and phrases are omitted for the sake of sentence efficiency. Words that had gone through ellipsis are reversible and can still be retrieved or recovered without changing the sentence’s overall meaning. Subject ellipsis is quite a common topic discussed in linguistics, especially for pro-drop languages. This study investigates the ellipsis phenomenon for Malay-Manadonese words, particularly subject ellipsis based on the results of other languages’ subject ellipsis such as, Indonesian and English. The research is designed using qualitative descriptive method to explain this phenomenon thoroughly. The data were compiled from Malay-Manadonese utterances in three social media accounts and were analyzed using Sudaryanto’s Agih (Distribution) technique, circling around data expansion. This was used to verify whether the sentence data had indeed undergone subject ellipsis which is characterized by no change of meaning after the subjects are restored. The results of the research found that, similar with the other languages, Malay-Manadonese has three types of subject ellipsis: the null subject ellipsis, coordinative compound ellipsis, and subordinative compound ellipsis.

Abstract

This study aims to develop school cooperative learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) with an experiential learning approach through the ADDIE development model. The background of this study is based on the low level of students' understanding of the concept of school cooperatives because the learning media used tend to be theoretical and do not provide direct learning experiences. This study uses a mixed method through questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The ADDIE stages, which include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, are used to design a prototype of a virtual school cooperative visit application. This learning media contains features on the history of cooperatives, management profiles, and financial reports in an interactive visual form. The validation results show that the application functions well, is safe to use, and has stable performance. The application of AR allows students to learn more realistically through exploratory experiences, helping them to understand the concept of school cooperatives more easily. Thus, this AR-based learning media can be an alternative solution to increase students' interest and understanding in learning about school cooperatives in a more contextual and enjoyable way.
