Abstract

This study explores the entrepreneurial potential of Cak dan Ning Surabaya alumni by analyzing the influence of Managerial Cognitive Capabilities and Absorptive Capacity on Entrepreneurial Intention, mediated by Strategic Intuition Capability. Cak dan Ning is a cultural ambassador program in Surabaya that grooms local youth to represent the city’s identity, tourism, and values. Although no longer actively involved in public engagements after their tenure ends, many alumni face the challenge of remaining professionally relevant. Therefore, this study investigates how their managerial and absorptive competencies contribute to fostering entrepreneurial mindsets. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 132 alumni respondents via an online questionnaire and processed using SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that Managerial Cognitive Capabilities significantly influence both Strategic Intuition Capability and Entrepreneurial Intention. Additionally, Absorptive Capacity has a significant effect on Strategic Intuition Capability, but not on Entrepreneurial Intention. Strategic Intuition Capability also does not significantly mediate the relationship between both Managerial Cognitive Capabilities and Absorptive Capacity with Entrepreneurial Intention. These results highlight the need for targeted empowerment strategies to help Cak dan Ning alumni channel their acquired skills and cultural insights into sustainable entrepreneurial ventures, ensuring their continued contribution to society beyond their ambassadorial roles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image, promotional effectiveness, and product quality on consumer interest in purchasing textbooks from a printing company in Indonesia. The study's background is the increasing competition in the printing industry, which requires companies to strengthen their marketing strategies by improving brand image, effective promotion, and superior product quality. This study uses a quantitative, descriptive approach. Primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are consumers of printing company products. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS to test the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable via multiple linear regression. The results show that the three independent variables, namely brand image, promotional effectiveness, and product quality, have a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing interest. Among the three, product quality has the most significant influence on purchasing interest, indicating that consumer perceptions of product quality are a significant factor in purchasing decisions. These findings emphasize the importance for printing companies to continue to maintain product quality, strengthen brand image, and implement effective promotional strategies to increase consumer purchasing interest and expand market share.

Abstract

Indonesia's culinary industry has experienced rapid growth, driven by the increasing number of young entrepreneurs and the advancement of digital platforms. However, this growth has been accompanied by significant environmental impacts, particularly from food packaging waste and leftover ingredients. On the other hand, consumer awareness of environmental issues has also increased, creating pressure on business owners to adopt environmentally friendly practices (green practices). Although green concepts such as biodegradable packaging and waste management are becoming more familiar, their adoption among culinary business owners remains limited. This situation has prompted research to understand the psychological and social factors influencing business owners' intentions to adopt green practices, using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as the analytical framework. This quantitative study involved 78 culinary business owners as respondents, with data collected via questionnaires and analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) in SPSS. The results identified four dominant factors influencing adoption intentions: social pressure and regulations, reputation motivation and technical confidence, perceptions of economic and environmental benefits, and strategic considerations for implementation.
