Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of sleepcall on the psychotic condition of final year students at the Islamic University of Majapahit. Sleepcall is a phenomenon that is generally used by students in maintaining long-distance relationships. However, the impact of sleepcalling on the mental health of final year students is not fully understood, which can lead to sleep, motivation, and concentration problems. This study uses quantitative methods to collect empirical data with certain validity. The results showed that sleep calling and anxiety levels had a significant impact on the mental health of final year students at Majapahit Islamic University, contributing 24.2% to their psychological condition. Sleepcall activity has a close relationship with students' current state of psychosis, demonstrating the importance of sleepcalling in influencing their mental health and well-being. This study also found that Sleepcall had a positive impact on the mental health of final year students by reducing stress levels and impacting the overall psychological condition.

Abstract

This research discusses the cultural diversity and traditions in Indonesia, with a focus on the Kirim Dawuhan tradition in Nogosari Village, Pacet Subdistrict. This tradition is an expression of gratitude by the villagers for the abundant water sources in their village and plays a significant role in environmental preservation and strengthening social bonds within the community. This study aims to address how the development of a Village Tourism through Rituals in Nogosari Village can be achieved and to provide practical and academic contributions to village development and further policies. The research method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach involving four youths from Nogosari Village as informants. The results reveal that the Kirim Dawuhan tradition encompasses the "Ubo Rampe" component, which holds profound meanings and life values. Nogosari Village possesses natural and cultural potentials that can serve as a foundation for Village Tourism development. This development could involve creating tourism packages based on the Kirim Dawuhan tradition, training for tour guides, collaboration with relevant parties, and utilizing technology and social media for promotion. In summary, the development of Village Tourism through the Kirim Dawuhan tradition in Nogosari Village has substantial potential for enhancing the community's economy, preserving culture, and maintaining environmental sustainability. Collaboration between local communities, the government, and related stakeholders is pivotal in achieving these goals. With the right and sustainable approach, this village has the opportunity to become an engaging and meaningful tourist destination, while maintaining a balance between cultural preservation, environmental conservation, and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Open communication involves sharing information, feelings, and thoughts honestly and transparently. The role of parents in family interactions is explored in this study, focusing on the @thehartono'sfamily TikTok account's impact on children's character formation. Using qualitative descriptive analysis, the research examines content from the @thehartono'sfamily TikTok account, revealing three main aspects. Firstly, the learning of values and ethics. Secondly, the modeling of positive parental behavior in interactions. Lastly, the provision of support and guidance. Videos on the @The Hartono's Family TikTok account from July 2022 to December 2022 illustrate the parental role in open communication and its influence on children's character development. This family serves as an example of how positive character traits and integrity can be cultivated through open communication. The study suggests, as shown by the @thehartono'sfamily TikTok account, that through open communication, children can achieve their full potential in developing positive character.

Abstract

Kitab Al-Amtsilah At-Tashrifiyah is a book that contains the rules of shorof science regarding examples of word changes in Arabic that must be memorized by students so that this knowledge is a requirement that must be met and understood by students in order to read the yellow book, but because Roudlotul Mubtadi'in Islamic Boarding School is a pesantren that prioritizes its students to memorize the Qur'an, the ustadz only told his students to chant nadhom tashrifan To hone the skills of the students in understanding the science of shorof. For this reason, the ustadz chose interpersonal communication in teaching his students by applying five interpersonal attitudes, namely openness, empathy, support, positive attitude, and equality. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of interpersonal communication built between ustadz and santri in grounding nadhom tashrifan at Roudlotul Mubtadi'in Islamic Boarding School. This study used qualitative descriptive method. The data collection process uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques using data analysis models from Miles & Huberman. The results of the study stated that of the five interpersonal communication attitudes that were most dominant in grounding nadhom tashrifan at Roudlotul Mubtadi'in Islamic Boarding School was the attitude of empathy and support of the ustadz towards his students which was shown by the ustadz who participated in chanting nadhom tashrifan for fifteen minutes before the start of the lesson.

Abstract

This study analyzes the digital public reception of the Gen Z lifestyle portrayed in the soap opera Asmara Gen Z using Stuart Hall’s (1980) encoding-decoding model and compares it with the sociological reality of Gen Z. A qualitative approach with qualitative content analysis was applied to identify and categorize public comments based on the AIO (Activities, Interests, Opinions) concept by Wells & Tigert (1983). Primary data was collected through Brand24 big data monitoring as well as manual observation on X and TikTok. Secondary data in the form of soap opera scene documentation was analyzed as a comparison for the encoding process. The results show that Gen Z’s lifestyle construction in soap operas is represented through social activities, interests in trends and self-image, as well as opinions regarding mental health and social relationships. Public reception is divided into three positions, including dominant, negotiation, and opposition. Some viewers consider these representations relevant to Gen Z’s lives, particularly regarding productive activities, appearance, and social issues like mental health. However, others felt that romantic conflicts were overly dramatized. These findings demonstrate that Gen Z audiences actively interpret media messages based on their personal experiences. The soap opera’s portrayal is close enough to reality to feel relatable, yet sufficiently dramatized to meet the entertainment industry’s needs. This study is expected to contribute to the field of communication, particularly in the study of audience reception.

Abstract

Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) merupakan program beasiswa pemerintah yang ditujukan bagi lulusan SMA/sederajat dari keluarga kurang mampu namun berprestasi untuk melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi negeri maupun swasta. Namun, program ini menuai protes publik karena dianggap tidak tepat sasaran. Banyak penerima KIP-K dinilai memiliki gaya hidup mewah, sementara mahasiswa yang benar-benar membutuhkan justru tidak mendapatkannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi distribusi sentimen publik terhadap program KIP-K di media sosial dan opini dominan yang muncul dalam percakapan publik terkait KIP-K. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Brand24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dominasi sentimen positif sekitar 44% dengan 193 percakapan dari 440 percakapan mengenai KIP-K, dengan total volume penyebutan mencapai 440 akun dan jangkauan media sosial mencapai 6.513.435 pengguna. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa cukup banyak masyarakat yang memberikan tanggapan baik terhadap pelaksanaan KIP-K, khususnya terkait manfaat dan ketepatan sasaran penerimanya. Selain itu, jangkauan percakapan menunjukkan bahwa pembahasan mengenai KIP-K tersebar luas dan menjadi perhatian masyarakat, memperlihatkan bahwa program KIP-K memiliki penerimaan yang cukup baik di ruang publik karena dianggap mampu membantu mahasiswa dari keluarga kurang mampu untuk mendapatkan akses pendidikan tinggi. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan program KIP-K tetap dipandang sebagai kebijakan sosial yang memiliki manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat apabila dijalankan secara tepat sasaran dan transparan, serta peran penting media sosial dalam membentuk opini publik terhadap kebijakan pemerintah dan diperlukan strategi komunikasi publik yang lebih responsif, terbuka, dan partisipatif agar kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap program KIP-K dapat terus terjaga serta mampu meminimalkan berkembangnya sentimen negatif di ruang digital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public sentiment toward the PP Tunas policy regarding child protection in digital spaces through the hashtag #PPTunas on social media. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a netnographic approach. Data were collected using Brand24 from conversations on X and TikTok during March - April 2026. The findings show that positive sentiment dominated at 59%, while negative sentiment reached 41%. Positive sentiment was mainly driven by official institutions and mass media that framed support for the policy. In contrast, negative sentiment emerged from personal accounts highlighting concerns about privacy, digital surveillance, and the importance of digital literacy for children and parents. The study indicates that public opinion regarding PP Tunas is strongly influenced by media roles and government communication strategies in shaping perceptions within digital spaces.

Abstract

Each region has a tourism charm or attraction that has the opportunity to develop and expand product diversification and national tourism quality. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2016 concerning Guidelines for Sustainable Tourism Destinations that it is important to encourage the tourism system through optimizing the roles of business (Business), government (Government), community (Community), academic (Academics), and media (Publication).This research is a qualitative research, this type of research is a case study using direct observation data collection methods. Interviews, and documentation studies, conducted at the Mojokerto City Youth Sports and Tourism Office. This study aims to find out how the Role of Disporapar is in Promoting Mojokerto City Tourism Attraction with the Pentahelix Concept. The results of the research are that the Mojokerto City Tourism Office has implemented the Pentahelix Collaboration Model in the form of Cooperation with five stakeholders, namely the government, the community (Tourism Awareness Group), the private sector , academia, and the media. The results show that there is cooperation or partnership that is carried out as a manifestation of good public governance.

Abstract

Stunting, a condition inhibiting both physical and cognitive growth in children, has garnered global attention within the realm of child health. This study underscores the imperative of promptly addressing stunting, exploring potential remedies, and delineating its enduring consequences. Notably, the pivotal roles of media and the Mojokerto Regency Government are emphasized. The research methodology encompasses literature analysis and statistical data encompassing cohort studies, health surveys, and official reports. The study confirms that stunting can yield far-reaching ramifications, potentially encompassing compromised cognitive development, diminished adult productivity, and susceptibility to chronic illnesses. The media holds a pivotal role in combatting stunting. By imparting nutritional insights, enhancing awareness, and galvanizing public support, the media serves as a catalyst. Precise reporting fosters engagement and the dissemination of pertinent information. Within the realm of stunting, the Mojokerto Regency Government emerges as a central actor. Initiatives span from prenatal nutritional programs to bolstering collaboration, conducting health education, and systematically monitoring infant growth. The fight against stunting assumes paramount importance within the context of sustainable development objectives. Through an encompassing approach integrating media, governmental, and stakeholder roles, stunting rates are projected to dwindle, empowering forthcoming generations for sustainable growth.
