Abstract

This study aims to analyze the services management for Hajj pilgrims at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Pesisir Selatan by examining the implementation of Hajj service management encountered in service delivery. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Research informants were selected purposively, consisting of the Head of the Hajj and Umrah Organization Section, Hajj service staff, Hajj ritual officers, and prospective Hajj pilgrims. The finding explains that the Hajj service management function has been implemented with standard operating procedures. However, several obstacles were still found, including suboptimal planning of mobile Hajj services, limited human resources, and ineffective delivery of Hajj training materials for elderly pilgrims. The research findings indicate that the innovation of mobile Hajj service is a strategy capable of increasing access to services for communities in areas far from service centers, although it still requires strengthening in the planning and evaluation aspects. Thus, the effectiveness of Hajj service management is not only determined by the existence of SOPs, but also by the organisation's ability to adapt services to the characteristics and needs of pilgrims.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the methods used by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of West Sumatra Province in managing Hajj Guidance Groups and the challenges faced in implementing it. A qualitative methodology, in the form of a field survey with a descriptive focus, was used in this research. The research findings show that there are five steps of supervision in the monitoring system: planning, establishing measurement of activity implementation, comparing implementation with standards, analyzing deviations, and corrective action. The challenge faced by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of West Sumatra Province in guarding Hajj Guidance Groups is that it is far from Hajj Guidance Groups and there are still group that violate the rules. In carrying out optimal supervision, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion cooperates with the local district or city Ministry of Religion, both in relation to Hajj Guidance Groups operational permits and in the operational activities itself.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the da’wah activities, the implementation of imarah management, and the challenges encountered by the management of the Tasikmalaya Great Mosque in promoting mosque prosperity. The study employs a qualitative research design using primary and secondary data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of imarah management practices. The findings indicate that the mosque’s da’wah activities are designed to strengthen religious understanding, promote ethical values, and disseminate Islamic teachings. Programs such as Tabligh Akbar, regular religious study sessions, and various social activities encourage community participation, unity, and sustainable engagement among worshippers. The implementation of imarah management reflects systematic planning through surveys and discussions to identify the needs of the congregation and ensure effective organisation of mosque programs. However, the management faces several challenges, including inadequate planning, ineffective communication and coordination among administrators, limited participation from younger generations, and financial and maintenance constraints. The study concludes that regular program evaluation, continuous organisational improvement, and management and leadership training for mosque administrators are essential to enhance program effectiveness, strengthen institutional capacity, and support sustainable mosque prosperity.

Abstract

As a preacher, high credibility is essential to gain trust in delivering Islamic preaching material to the public. Likewise, effective rhetoric, or the way in which Islamic preaching material is delivered, will also determine a preacher's success in delivering his preaching, ensuring it is easily accepted and implemented by his audience. Agus Muhammad Iqdam Kholid, commonly known as Gus Iqdam, is a young preacher from East Java. He not only preaches in congregations but also on social media. In delivering his preaching material, he draws on relevant sources, such as the Quran and Hadith, as well as on books he has mastered. Gus Iqdam's delivery of his preaching material uses easily understood language and often uses his local language, making his preaching highly sought after by the public, including the younger generation and others. This research employed qualitative methods, analyzing Gus Iqdam's preaching content, netizen comments, and news sources from other social media platforms. The data sources used were Gus Iqdam's profile, his preaching, and audience responses in the form of comments and posts on social media. The results of this study indicate that Gus Iqdam possesses credibility components such as trustworthiness, expertise, authority, charisma, and good morals.
