Abstract

Ethnomathematics is something that can be used to combine mathematics with culture. So that culture & mathematics can go hand in hand & be more easily understood by students. The aim of this research is to find out what role ethnomathematics plays in mathematics learning and to be able to change students' negative defects regarding mathematics. The research method used is the study method (library research) itself, which is a method of collecting, studying, & knowing theories based on various kinds of literature contained in a study. This research is secondary data which is originally based on published research articles and is related using a predetermined title. Data collected using free, involved listening, speaking and note-taking techniques. The results of this research can determine the crucial role of ethnomathematics in mathematics learning. The conclusion of this research is that we can understand the role of ethnomathematics in mathematics learning, namely that ethnomathematics can connect mathematics with culture, change negative defects about mathematics, make students more enthusiastic about participating in mathematics learning and can train teachers to be creative & innovative in expressing mathematical material. using existing culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penyebab kurangnya minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPAS kelas IV SDI Malamude serta mengusulkan solusi yang dapat meningkatkan minat belajar mereka. Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah adalah pendekatan yang mengarahkan siswa untuk aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui pemecahan masalah nyata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dua siklus dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDI Malamude. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan minat belajar IPAS siswa ditunjukkan dengan data pada siklus I siswa yang tekun adalah 11 orang atau 61, 1%, yang memiliki rasa ingin tahu sebanyak 15 orang atau sejumlah 83,3%, kerja sama sejumlah 13 orang atau sejumlah 72,2%, yang berdisiplin sejumlah 13 orang atau sebanyak 72,2% . Pada siklus II siswa yang tekun adalah 17 orang atau sejumlah 94,4%, yang memiliki rasa ingin tahu 26 orang atau sejumlah 88,9%, kerja sama sejumlah 17 orang atau sejumlah 94,4%, dan yang berdisiplin sejumlah 17 orang atau sebanyak 94,4%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a teaching module for a two variable linear equation system based on realistic mathematics education model for class X high school students. This research aims to produce a prodact in the from of a two variable linear equation system learning module based on a realistc mahematics education model using the EDDIE model, namely analysis, design,development,implementation, and evaluation.the instrument used in this research were expert eqistionaire sheets to measure the validity of teaching materials, teacher response questionaires and student response questionaires and student student response questinaires to measure the practicaly of questionaire trials student nad teacher respondets regarding the modules or products development obtained result with good criteria.based on the results of the assesment by student, namely 3,64 which is in good criteria and the rselts with good criteria. Based on the result of the asessment by teacher respondent namely, 3,8 which is in good criteria, so that the product developed is suitable fo use.

Abstract

Directorate of Culture is closely related to science, one of the Directorates in the field of mathematics. Ethnomatics is the part and science of Dis knowledge related to mathematics that is applied to well-identified cultural community groups. Ka Nagekeo culture has many symbols that are related to Etr mathematics and have meanings related to Na school mathematics lessons. The purpose of this writing is to study symbols. - Ika Nagekeo cultural symbols and various shapes and models related to mathematics learning, such as Ma, Oba Aqı Oba Pete woven cloth. The method used in writing the literature review is using descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that the Nagekeo traditional symbols represent mathematics in the geometric aspect , such as rectangular shapes, curved side shapes, and simple curves. This study was used by educators and students in learning mathematics based on local Nagekeo culture and loving the cultural traditions of the local area. Based on the results of observations and documentation, it can be concluded that the oba aqı and oba pete woven fabrics are ancestral, cultural and local community motifs found on the fabrics. oba agi oba pete ikat weaving has rectangular hexagon (broken pinng) and rhombus (rurf) motifs. The tradition of buying and selling ikat woven fabrics, oba açı and oba pete, people use money or exchange woven fabrics for pets, such as buying and selling transactions carried out by village communities. Nagerawe at the Boawae traditional market which uses the anmatics model in the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This shows that the connection between mathematics and oba agi and oba pete woven fabrics is 100% valid.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the function of ethnomathematics in learning mathematics in the 2013 curriculum. This research uses library research, observation and documentation as its methods. Secondary data is information that has been collected and examined from various sources including research reports, books, journals, websites, and other related materials and pays attention to accurately data regarding ethnomathematics in learning mathematics. The three stages of data analysis used in this research are organization, synthesis, and identification. (1) Ethnomathematics helps the preservation and continuation of cultural traditions in mathematics education, according to research findings. (2) Because ethnomathematics is related to the notion of mathematics in society, it can be taught along with traditional mathematics. (3) Because it allows students' experiences as members of cultural communities to have contextual meaning, ethnomathematics in culture-based mathematics learning will be an interesting, entertaining, and novel learning approach.

Abstract

Etnomatika merupakan matematika yang tumbuh dan berkembang dalam kebudayaan tertentu. Dengan menerapkan etnomatematika sebagai suatu pendekatan pembelajaran akan sangat memungkinkan suatu materi yang pelajari terkait dengan budaya sehingga pemahaman suatu materi oleh siswa menjadi lebih mudah karena materi tersebut terkait langsung dengan budaya yang merupakan aktivitas mereka sehari-hari dalam bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana etnomatematika pada budaya masyarakat Nagekeo. Bentuk Etnomatematika pada masyarakat Nagekeo dapat dilihat dari unsur-unsur budayanya. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu menetapkan informan, melakukan wawancara terhadap narasumber, membuat catatan etnografi, mengajukan pertanyaan deskriptif, melakukan analisis wawancara etnografi, melakukan analisis domain, melakukan analisis taksonomi, dan menulis etnografi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan orang yang sudah ahli dibidangnya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan januari sampai maret 2020 di Kabupaten Nagekeo. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya konsep matematika pada beberapa budaya masyarakat di Nagekeo diantaranya bentuk dari po’o kose menyerupai bentuk tabung, kemudian te’e secara keseluruhan berbentuk persegi panjang sedangkan lipatan didalamnya berbentuk persegi, dan perhitungan hasil panen yang mempunyai hubungan dengan perkalian. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, dapat terlihat jelas bahwa budaya dapat dijadikan cara terbaik untuk memahami konsep matematika

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar Matematika dan Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS SMAS ST. Fransiskus Xaverius Boawae tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini diadakan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri dalam matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMAS ST. Fransiskus Xaverius Boawae tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah peningkatan motivasi siswa menggunakan metode inkuiri pada mata pelajaran matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode inkuiri dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS SMAS ST. Fransiskus Xaverius Boawae

Abstract

This research aims to explain how to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills through the project based learning model. Literacy and numeracy skills are currently very much needed by students, especially in the independent learning curriculum, the national exam has been abolished and replaced with a minimum competency assessment or AKM. AKM was implemented after the literacy and numeracy results of Indonesian students were at a low level based on the PISA results in 2018. In AKM, students' abilities were tested, namely literacy and numeracy. Literacy and numeracy skills are very important for students to have. These abilities are closely related to understanding mathematical concepts and other concepts in everyday life. Literacy and numeracy skills are improved through project learning. In projects students are directly involved in making something and analyzing something with material. This research shows that the project bassed learning model can improve students' literacy and numeracy skills. This can be seen from the first cycle literacy and numeracy learning results of 55% and the second cycle literacy and numeracy learning results of 83%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding in solving mathematical story problems using the Inquiry-based learning model for Grade VII students at SMPN 4 Bajawa. The study employed an experimental design with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through document recording, observation, questionnaire, and test methods. The results showed that the Inquiry-based learning model can enhance students' learning activities and academic achievement. Students' learning activities increased with the use of the Inquiry-based learning model, and their academic achievement also improved. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in students' learning activities and academic achievement with the use of the Inquiry-based learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Mauponggo through the application of a contextual learning model. The contextual learning model is expected to help students relate learning material to everyday life, thereby increasing their understanding and motivation to learn. The method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results show that the application of the contextual learning model can improve student learning outcomes significantly. The average student score before implementing this model was 65, and after the first cycle it increased to 75, and in the second cycle it reached 85. Apart from that, student participation in the learning process also increased, where students were more active in interacting and discussing in class. The contextual learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Mauponggo. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers apply this model in the learning process to improve the quality of education in schools.
