Abstract

Bsckground:BOD is the quality of oxygen in the solution bacterial/micro organism, needs to do decomposition aerobic from the organic materials in the standart time condition and specific clinical term. process system of the waste water treqtment is the most ffictive do BOD descent is process biologic system which using the activated sludge. Production of waste water with the SBR System (Sequince Batch Reactor) very effective to waste water production, because just using a wash tab for the oli process. The fist material is the octivated sludge in the process and time interaction have if\ect to th'e processing product of the hospital waste water.Obiective :To explain the effect of the activated sludge and time interaction BOD descent hospital waste water.Research Methode :This research is explanatory research kinds the research is the true experiment and the pre tesl - post test plan with control design . Subject research is hospilal waste water from waste water treqtment department. Sample random sampling with the total somple 500 ml for the one experiment andfor five replication need 75 experiment. This fi'ee variable research is the activaled sludge volume and iime interaction and variable attacted is BOD descent hospital waste water. The Analyse with descriptive and analyse which use onova test ond we trust 95o%.Result:BOD descent highestfor activated sludge volume 250 ml/ lfor the time interaction minute l5 mirute is 99,5 % . Wilh the anova test one factor we know that a factor level differences variation every experiment group is sludge volume and time interaction is very dffirent with the score p = 0,000. Andthen with anova test interaction with the two factor we know have relationship with significan between level activated sludge concentration and long interaction time in BOD descent hospital waste waterscore p : 0,000. Statistic style test which use it explain the level BOD descent hospital waste water 96,67 %Conclution :Activated sludge volume ond long time interaction have effect to the BOD descent hospital wsqte wqter, for pH condition 7,96.. Activated sludge volume 250 ml/l and time interactionl5 minute ffictive to BOD descent hospital waste water until 99,5%o.. Abstract

Abstract The quantitative determination of abrasive concentration (Calcium) on toothpaste has been studied. The research purposed to certain abrasive concentration (Calcium) of toothpaste and what abrasive concentration (Calcium) of toothpaste was Harry's Cosmeticologt Standard. Formulation of toothpastes are abrasive, gelling agent, humectants, sweetener, surface active, agent, color preservative, prophylactic agent, and water Abrasive concentration (Calcium) on tooth paste prohibited chocolate layer on tooth and over abrasive prohibited abrasive surface on tooth. The Complexometry method is used to determined abrasive concentration (Calcium) on toothpaste. The abrasive concentration (Calcium) on toothpaste by Harry's Cosmeticologt Standard was 15 50 % b/b. The analysis is performed complexion by addition Na OH I N pH12 in the sample solution and murex idée indicator and titrated with Standard solution of Na2EDTA to red-violet colour The research results that abrasive concentration (Calcium) on four mark of Tooth pastes A, B, C, and D codes in a series are 45,92 % b/b, 47,380% b/b, 47,599 % b/b, and 45,99 % b/b, and witch re canceled by Harry's Cosmeticologt Standard was 15 5 0 % b/b. Abstract

Background : Nutritional anemia among lactating mothers is the one of nutritionalproblem in Indonesia , indicated by the decreasing of hemoglobin level. Lactating mothers can get the nutritional anemia because of blood losses on partus. Objective : to discover hemoglobin level and anemia prevalence on lactating working mothers and lactating non working mothers. Method : this research design is analytical research with cross sectional approach. The research location is in "Kelurahan Ngemplak Simongan, Kecamatan Semarang Barat, Kota Semarong". All the samples are 86 lactating mothers, divided into two groups that are 49 (57,0 %) lactating working mothers and 37 (43,0 %) lactating non working mothers. The data collected by interview method that are respondent identity and the frequency of food consumption. Hemoglobin level analyze by Sianmethemoglobine method. Result : The amount of (95,9 %) lactating working mothers are industrial workers and 4,1 % are government workers. The average of hemoglobin level on lactating working mothers is 10,8 gr %, but on lactating non working mothers is 11,2 gr  %. Anemia prevalence among the lactating working mothers is 65,3 % but on lactating non working mothers is 37,8 %. Conclusion : There is a significant dffirence of the average hemoglobin level between the lactating working mothers and the lactating non working mothers (p value = 0,009). There is a significant difference of the anemia prevalence between the lactating working mothers and the lactating non working mothers (p value = 0,011). Abstract

Making of salt egg by iod propouse for preservation or long of storage and properties of organoleptic egg. So effirt, preventive to ill that malnutrition of iod (GAKI) The research propouse to lvtow effectfrom addition of iod in salt on KIO3 concentration and properties of organoleptic on salt egg. The research was done in two leve, the /irst level was making of salt egg by addition KIO3 5.000, 10.000, 15.000 and 20.000 ppm. The tvvice level, the salt eggs was done storage a long of 5, 10, l5 and 20 days.The result of research could to lvtow that effect of interaction between KIO3 concentration and long of storage had been KIO3 concentration in salt egg. Dffirence of KIO3 concentration did not be elfect of organoleptic properties. Long of storage did be effect of organoleptic properties.Keywords: iod, storage and egg

Abstract

After post harvest, agriculture product is still physiology change. Biochemical reactions in commodity of agriculture was accident until destroying and deterioration, so that lost in storage process. Matter lost can be accident by respiration. Respiration is biochemical reactions in agriculture product that involve activity of enzyme. Product of respiration is carbon dioxide, water and energy. Velocity of respiration was influent by water contains, temperature, humidity, composition of air, saturated boiling pressure and condition of matter. Water contains is factor very important in matter lost by respiration. Dry matter lost by respiration in storage process was not more than 0.8 percent. Abstract

Oral health hygiene constitutes one of public health problems that require comprehensive management due to its wide dimension. The lack of Calcium will hinder the process of teeth calcification and slow down the dental maturity. Low dental quality will lead the dental carries. Calcium is highest number of mineral in the human body. It will be obtained only from food, and the lack of it in the body will cause dental carries. This research is  an explanatory research with survey method and cross sectional approach. The total number of respondents is one hundred (100) students of grade 4 and 5 in the elementary school. The variables of the research include calcium intake during 3 x 24 hours, the frequency of eating high calcium food, frequency of eating carriogenic food, frequency, of tooth brushing, and the severity of the dental carries. The result of the research shows all ,students .suffer the deficiency of calcium (97% severaly lack of calcium, 1% moderately lack of calciurn, and 2 % lack of the calcium). Most of the students  (40%)  suffer dental carries of tight level. The result of rank Spearman test shows there is not correlation between calcium intake and food and beverage and the severity of dental carries (p=0,185). There is no correlation between frequency of eating high calcium food and the severity of dental carries (p=0,527). There is no correlation between frequency of tooth brushing and the severity of dental carries (p=0,495). Keyword : calcium intake, frequency of tooth brushing, severity of the dental carries

Abstract

Smoking is a habit that is detrimental to human health. In one piece of cigarette there are more than four thousand toxic chemical such as nicotine,CO, Arsenic, and tar. The prevalence of smokers in Indonesia has reached 70% of population, and 20% of them between I 5 ' 18 years of age (school age).This research is intended to find out the factors related with smoking on the students of SMI( Muhammadiyah 2 Semarang. The result of the research shows the 90%t of students are smokers. The factor of age, has significant correlation wilh the smoking habit while thefactors offamily, peer, teacher, and idolfigures do not hatte s igrificant correlation.Key words: smoking, students, age.

Abstract

The increasing numbers of small industries and home industries which processes food products are often tollowed by cases of chemical substances misuse. The process involves synthetic coloring substantive in order to get the expected product, for both for the producer andthe consumer.Jelly is a thick substantive made of seaweed. To make it, we only need to heat the jelly Jlour in boiling water, After it gets cold it will turn into gel and csn be formed the way we like it To add more Jlavors we can add natural or synthetic additional substances for coloring and sweetener onthe process.This research is dedicated to identify the types of synthetic coloring substantive added to jelliesand to compare the result with Permenkes RI No. 722 / PER / 1988.This is a descriptive research, using chromatograph paper method to check the qualitative test on the synthetic coloring substantive used. Population of the research is the jellies sold at Pasar Doro Pekalongan, with 4 (four) out of 5 (ive) colors taken as the sample purposively from each packages sold there.The data is taken from laboratory test, and conveyed in descriptive way. Result on laboratory test on jellies sold at Pasar Doro Pekalongan is that they uses Eritrosin, Green S, Sunset Yellow, Tartrazin, and Carmoisin as the synthetic coloring substantives as stated in Permenkes RI No.722 / MENKES / PER/ IX/ 1988.Keywords : synthetic coloring substantive, jelly, paper chromatograph.

Abstract

Plant oil is one of the potential plant resources as hidro carbon or energy source in Indonesia. Nevertheless, the oil can nol be used automatically because of having high viscosity, lower octan number, free fat, lower volatility, gum, and higher residue if it is used as ready to use fuel. There fore it has to be changed to another form, that is, to be alkil ester ( biodiesel ).Biodiesel usage still uses solar fuel as mixture. In this research, it is found that performance dffirence between solar and biodisel and biodiesel use usage.fully.Diesel machine performance which wants to be researched is machine torsion generated by diesel machine using solar fuel and resulted by diesel machine by using different fuel.As preliminary study, testing used in injection system diesel machine is when machine in stationer or netral condition, and diesel fuel used is biodisel made of jarak pagar oil.Ester oil usage as biodiesel fuel is based on temporary prediction that biodiesel with jarctk pagar oil fuel does not need solar fuel mixture and need diesel machine modification.Keywords : Biodisel, Diesel Machine, and Machine Torsion.
