This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies in the scope of Economics published twice a year, namely June and December. The scope of Balance: Journal of Economics covers Economics and Development, Economic Behavior, Islamic Economic System, International Economy as well as applied sciences of Statistical Economics, Macro and Micro. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the relation of fund balance with the amount of public expenditure (development budget) in Takalar Regency and to know the amount of balancing fund at Budget of Revenue and Expenditure in Takalar Regency. The required data is obtained by collecting secondary data, ie data sourced from the Regional Development Planning Agency of Takalar Regency, the Financial and Asset Management Agency of Takalar Regency, the Central Bureau of Statistics of Takalar Regency. The data obtained then analyzed using multiple regression.The result of the research concludes that there is a positive and significant influence between the amount of balancing fund and the development expenditure. The correlation level is shown by the R value of 0.956, which means that there is a very strong relationship while the model's predictive power is shown by the R Square value of 0.913 which means 91.3% of the rise and fall of development expenditure caused by the temporary balance of 8.7% due to other variables not researched.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of human resources development strategy through disciplinary development, education and training, compensation, creation of conducive working atmosphere, and leadership on employee performance in Bulukumba District Office of Communication and Informatics. To determine the most dominant variable influence on the performance of employees in the Department of Transportation Communications and Informatics Bulukumba District. The results of the study concluded that (1) improving the quality of apparatus / employee resources is an absolute requirement that must be done by the government in spurring the performance of employees for the achievement of organizational goals. Improving employee performance requires careful planning along with consistent and firm disciplinary enforcement programs; programs to improve the quality, skills and skills of employees through continuous and proportional education and training; program to improve the quality of the working environment by completing supporting facilities and infrastructures that can support the comfort and harmonization of the relationship between the leadership and subordinates; unlimited provision of compensation in financial form; and accommodative leadership support. (2) performance improvement program of employees, especially at the Department of Transportation of Communication and Information of Bulukumba District. is a construct that is multidimensional. Employee performance can only be enhanced by blending carefully all the factors that can create order, increase work motivation, and gain employee understanding of the main task and function. (3) key factors of the effort to improve the performance of employees at the Department of Transportation Communication and Information Bulukumba District. is through activities that can arouse personal awareness of each employee to the task and function. This can be done through the improvement of knowledge, skills and skills by conducting education and training that is directed, sustainable and equitable for all employees because the emergence of personal awareness by itself will create regularity and increase employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to know and analyze the influence of the attitude of the leadership of the company against taxpayer compliance bodies in the city of Makassar. (2) to know and analyze the influence of company's financial condition influence to taxpayer compliance agency in Makassar City. (3) to know and analyze the influence of corporate climate have an effect on taxpayer compliance in Makassar City. (4) to know and analyze the dominant factors influencing the taxpayer compliance of the agency in Makassar City. The instrument used for data collection is the next questionnaire data is processed and analyzed using multiple regression. The conclusion of this research are (1) tax compliance attitude have positive and significant effect to tax compliance for corporate taxpayer in Makassar City. The more positive the attitude of a corporate leader to tax compliance the higher the level of tax compliance agency. Conversely, the more negative the attitude of a company leader (in this case means not supporting) to tax compliance the lower the level of tax compliance. (2) The financial condition has a positive effect on Corporate Tax Compliance although not significant. The company's financial condition is good, then the Leader of the company will be obedient in carrying out the corporate taxation obligation which he represent or can be said high tax compliance level. These results reflect that the company's financial condition as reflected in the level of profitability and cash flow has proven to be one of the factors affecting the company's compliance with tax laws because profitability will pressure the company to report its taxes. (3) Organizational climate has a positive effect on Agency Tax Compliance significantly. A positive corporate organization climate will lead to high levels of tax compliance or vice versa. These results illustrate that a positive organizational climate will support corporate leaders to behave obediently. (4) Attitudes of tax compliance is the most dominant variable of influence on taxpayer compliance bodies in the city of Makassar. This indicates that the attitude of a positive corporate leadership in terms of understanding the rules and tax obligations will also behave positively in the reporting and payment of tax obligations.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the direct influence of organizational culture, compensation, organizational commitment, and leadership to motivation and job satisfaction, to analyze the direct influence work motivation to employee job satisfaction, and to analyze the indirect effect of organizational culture, compensation, organizational commitment, and leadership to job satisfaction employees through motivation.Data collected by the census method. The respondents were as many as 53 people who are all permanent employees of the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar. Data collection instruments were questionnaire and data analysis using path analysis.The research concluded that organizational culture has a significant positive direct effect to motivation and job satisfaction, organizational commitment has a positive and significant direct influence to motivation and job satisfaction, work motivation has a significant positive direct effect on job satisfaction, organizational culture has indirect effect is positive and significant impact to job satisfaction through motivation, and organizational commitment had an indirect relationship is positive and significant impact to job satisfaction through motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to find out some determinants of outflow migration in Bulukumba. The required data consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through interviews with selected respondents using a pre-prepared questionnaire (questionnaire). Determination of the respondents intentionally from the number of population as many as 200 people sampled 10% (20 people) simple random sampling (simple random sampling). Furthermore, the list of questions is followed directly by the researchers while conducting in-depth interviews on several respondents. While secondary data will be collected through literature studies, reports, or other documentation contained in the office or related agencies such as village offices / sub-districts, statistical offices and other relevant agencies. The data collected in this study is further presented in the form of description to obtain an overview of the factors that affect the outflow migration that is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitatively used simple statistical methods through the frequency distribution table using percentages and averages and graphs.The conclusions of this study are (1) Factors driving the outflow of migration in Bontotiro Sub-district, Bulukumba District is the absence of work, the absence of workable land, low wages, and due to follow-up. (2) The outflow migration factor in Bontotiro sub-district is a high salary factor in the destination, easy work requirements, available jobs at all times, and family influences. (3) The level of income of migrants out in Bontotiro District is quite high, which ranges from Rp. 1,000,000, - hinggar Rp. 2,500,000, - upwards per month, well above the provincial minimum wage (UMP) set by the Manpower and Transmigration Office of South Sulawesi Province of Rp. 400,000, - per month.

Abstract

The objective of this research is "To know how effective and pest control service (Pest control) applied by Company and CV. Putra Jaya Mandiri Makassar, controlling pest completely through the application of integrated pest control (IPM) ". Population in this research is the object of research which become target to get and collect data.Jadi become Population in this research is CV. Putra Jaya Mandiri Makassar. The determination of this sample aims to express appropriately the general characteristics of the population and for investigation. The number of samples in this study were 105 people. The method of analysis used is multiple regression.After the authors describe the problems that exist, it can be concluded that the implementation of Pest Control through the application of integrated pest (IPM) is quite effective and able to eradicate pests completely and efficiently without polluting and causing health hazards on the use of chemicals.

Abstract

Islamic syariah is a comprehensive guide of life,  covering  of all aspect of life. Syariah is not only set the rule  of the transcendental relationship between muslim and Allah  SWT but provided for every aspect, one of the rules is organizing institutions. Therefore, Islam has also Islamic management concept  Islamic management reguires the leaders of organization are able to do a holistic approach with the God concept by giving their outhority to the God with humility, responsibility and independence to fulfill their duties and practice Islamic management with flexible  model  for maximum result.Islamic management of organization should be viewed as a means to facilitate the implementation of Islamic in the activities of the organization. Implementation of Islamic values as intangibles in our thinking and activities in all aspects of organization. Thus, The values of Islamic is actually the organization’s core values. The  Islamic values will become the strategic of organization.

Abstract

Associated with existing theoretical review, this study aims to: (1) recognize and analyze the influence of service quality on customer satisfaction Islamic bank; (2) recognize and analyze the influence of service quality on customer loyalty Islamic bank; (3) recognize and analyze the influence of relational marketing to customer satisfaction Islamic bank; (4) recognize and analyze the influence of relational marketing on customer loyalty Islamic bank; (5) recognize and analyze the influence of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty Islamic bank.This study uses primary data. The population is Islamic bank customers in the city of Makassar. The sample of 300 respondents selected from 4 (four) of Islamic banks are selected purposively, that is (1) bank Muamalat, (2) bank BNI Syariah, (3) BTN Syariah, and (4) Bank Syariah Mandiri with Slovin formula then selected samples proportionally.By using analytical methods SEM (Structural Equation Model) results showed that: (1) service quality has positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction with loading factor 0.586 with probability 0.019; (2) service quality has no significant influence on customer loyalty Islamic bank; (3) relational marketing significantly influence customer satisfaction Islamic bank; (4) relational marketing no significant effect on customer loyalty; (5) customer satisfaction significantly influence customer loyalty.Keywords: service quality, relationship marketing, customer loyalty, customer satisfaction

Abstract

The study aims to (1) know the classification of growth of the regional economic sector with the approach of Klassen Tipologi, (2) to know the position of competitiveness of economic sector in Morowali Regency, and (3) to know the economic sectors which become the superior sector of the regional economy in Morowali District.The results showed that (1) advanced and rapidly growing sectors, namely the agricultural sector and the mining and quarrying sectors, while the sectors included in the potential category and still growing rapidly are the sector of processing industry, electricity and water sector, trade, hotels and restaurants. Then the economic sectors that are classified as relatively lagging are the construction sector, transportation and communications sector, financial sector, leasing and corporate services and services sector. (2) the sector which is the base sector (LQ> 1), that is agriculture sector, mining and quarrying sector, and trade sector, hotel and restaurant. These sectors are competing sectors and are categorized as sectors that can be featured. (3) the sector which is the competitive sector with the dominant growth in Central Sulawesi Province and Morowali Regency is mining and quarrying sector. In the meantime, sectors that are classified as sectors with prominent growth in Central Sulawesi province but not yet prominent in Morowali Regency include manufacturing, construction, transport and communications, financial, leasing and business services sector, and services sectors. And (4) sectors that are the leading sectors with criteria fall into the advanced and growing sectors, the basic and competitive sectors, namely the agricultural sector and the mining and quarrying sector.

Abstract

Organisasi tidak mungkin terlepas dari tenaga kerja manusia, walaupun aktivitas organisasi itu telah mempunyai modal yang cukup besar dan teknologi modern, sebab bagaimanapun majunya teknologi tanpa ditunjang oleh manusia sebagai sumber dayanya maka tujuan organisasi tidak akan tercapai. Dengan demikian maka sumber daya manusia sangat penting untuk diberikan arahan dan bimbingan dari manajemen organisasi pada umumnya dan manajemen sumber daya manusia pada khususnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan pengaruh pemberian insentif terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Balai Besar Pelatihan Pertanian (BBPP) Batangkaluku. Hasil pengumpulan data yang diperoleh, diolah dan dianalisa secara kuantitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap tiap variabel dari hasil penelitian. Analisis ini menghasilkan distribusi dan persentase dari tiap variabel yang diteliti, kemudian diinterpretasikan hasil analisis persentase tersebut dalam bentuk narasi untuk pengambilan kesimpulan hasil penelitian. Untuk membuktikan hipotesis penelitian digunakan analisis regresi sederhana
