Abstract

Air transportation is an important element in supporting regional development, especially in archipelagic areas such as Southeast Sulawesi Province. This study aims to analyze the role of local government in improving air transportation connectivity in the region. The method used is a qualitative approach with purposive sampling techniques of informants who understand air transportation management policies and practices. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document reviews during August–November 2024. The results show that the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Government plays a significant role in supporting air transportation connectivity through four main functions, namely as a regulator, dynamizer, facilitator, and catalyst. As a regulator, the local government establishes policies and provides support for land acquisition; as a dynamizer, it encourages collaboration with the private sector; as a facilitator, it bridges cooperation between regions and airlines; and as a catalyst, it accelerates infrastructure development and creates a conducive investment climate. These roles have proven to have a positive impact on increasing mobility, economic growth, and the development of the tourism sector in Southeast Sulawesi. Strengthened collaboration among stakeholders is needed so that air connectivity can function optimally.

Abstract

Limited water resources and increasing global food demand require the application of efficient and sustainable agricultural technologies. This study examines the use of soil moisture sensor-based automatic irrigation technology to improve water efficiency and support sustainable food security through literature review and secondary data analysis. The results show that this technology can save water usage by 30–50%, increase crop productivity by up to 25%, and reduce long-term operational costs. The system works by continuously monitoring soil moisture and regulating water supply according to crop needs. The main challenges include initial investment costs, farmers' limited knowledge, and supporting infrastructure, but these can be overcome through policy support, training, and appropriate business models. This study recommends the development of affordable automated irrigation systems, increased farmer capacity, and comprehensive policies to accelerate the adoption of this technology at the field level.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan yang terletak pada pertemuan tiga lempeng tektonik utama menghadapi tantangan besar dalam pembangunan infrastruktur di daerah rawan gempa. Penelitian ini menganalisis kestabilan tanah dan daya dukung fondasi sebagai faktor krusial dalam perencanaan pembangunan infrastruktur yang tahan gempa. Kajian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis data sekunder dari berbagai proyek infrastruktur di wilayah rawan gempa di Indonesia. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi karakteristik tanah, kapasitas daya dukung, faktor keamanan, dan respons tanah terhadap beban gempa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman komprehensif terhadap sifat mekanik tanah, penerapan metode analisis yang tepat, dan pemilihan jenis fondasi yang sesuai sangat menentukan keberhasilan pembangunan infrastruktur di daerah rawan gempa. Analisis kestabilan menunjukkan bahwa fondasi dalam seperti tiang pancang dan bored pile lebih efektif menahan beban gempa dibandingkan fondasi dangkal pada tanah lunak. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan teknologi perbaikan tanah dan sistem fondasi hybrid untuk meningkatkan daya dukung tanah di zona seismik tinggi. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi praktisi teknik sipil dalam merencanakan infrastruktur yang aman dan berkelanjutan di wilayah rawan bencana.

Abstract

The Zero Over-Dimension and Over-Loading (ODOL) program is a strategic government effort to improve transportation safety and maintain the sustainability of road infrastructure. However, the effectiveness of its implementation depends heavily on cross-agency synergy and the participation of various stakeholders. This article analyzes the role of collaborative governance in strengthening oversight of public freight transportation to align with the Zero ODOL goal. This research employed a qualitative method, with informants selected purposively, considering their understanding of the challenges posed by the local government in promoting air connectivity in Southeast Sulawesi Province. The research was conducted from August to November 2025. The results concluded that effective oversight of public freight transportation is key to the success of the Zero Over-Dimension and Over-Loading program in maintaining safety and infrastructure sustainability. Collaborative governance, as a multi-stakeholder governance model, provides a strategic solution to address the complexity of oversight.

Abstract

The transformation of higher education towards the digital era demands innovation in learning methods that can accommodate the diversity of student characteristics. This article examines the integration of adaptive learning approaches with interactive technology as a solution for optimizing the learning process in digital universities. Through a literature study method, this research analyzes various scientific sources to understand the concepts, implementation, and impact of integrating these two approaches. The results of the study show that adaptive learning reinforced with interactive technology can significantly improve learning personalization, student engagement, and learning outcomes. This integration allows for the adjustment of content, pace, and learning methods based on individual student needs, while utilizing various interactive media to enhance the learning experience. The main challenges in implementation include infrastructure limitations, human resource readiness, and the need for a learning paradigm shift. However, with the right implementation strategies and adequate institutional support, the integration of adaptive learning and interactive technology can be the key to the success of higher education transformation in the digital era.

Abstract

Kestabilan lereng merupakan aspek fundamental dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan proyek infrastruktur perkotaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan model matematis (mathematical model) dalam analisis stabilitas lereng guna meningkatkan keandalan dan efisiensi perencanaan infrastruktur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi konseptual berbasis tinjauan literatur terkini terkait pendekatan analitis dan numerik, termasuk metode kesetimbangan batas (limit equilibrium method), analisis elemen hingga (finite element analysis), serta metode numerik lainnya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa integrasi model matematis dengan parameter geoteknik lokasi dapat meningkatkan akurasi prediksi faktor keamanan hingga 25% dibandingkan metode empiris konvensional. Implementasi model ini berpotensi mengoptimalkan desain perkuatan lereng dan efisiensi biaya proyek hingga 20%. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan sistem integratif berbasis data real-time untuk mendukung pembangunan infrastruktur yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to integrate deep learning technology to measure the physical fitness of high school students more accurately and efficiently than traditional manual methods. A total of 240 students from three schools participated in the assessment of five fitness components: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, speed, and body mass index (BMI). A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based system was employed to analyze students’ movement video data and evaluate their fitness levels. The results show that the deep learning model achieved an accuracy of 94.6% compared to manual assessments by professional trainers, while reducing evaluation time by 62% (from 25 minutes to 9.5 minutes per student) and improving inter-rater consistency from 0.71 to 0.93. Additionally, 87% of physical education teachers reported that the system was highly beneficial for assessment and documentation. These findings indicate that the integration of deep learning enhances the accuracy, efficiency, and objectivity of physical fitness evaluation and holds significant potential for broader application in technology-based physical education.

Abstract

Budaya keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) memiliki peran penting dalam menjamin keselamatan tenaga kerja, terutama di sektor konstruksi yang memiliki tingkat risiko tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran karyawan dalam membangun dan memperkuat budaya K3 di PT Yura Putra Pratama, perusahaan kontraktor yang bergerak di bidang pembangunan gedung, jalan, dan pemasangan pintu kereta api. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berbasis studi literatur, ditemukan bahwa keterlibatan aktif karyawan dalam penerapan K3 meliputi kepatuhan terhadap prosedur, penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), pelaporan potensi bahaya, partisipasi pelatihan, dan komunikasi kerja menjadi faktor utama dalam menurunkan angka kecelakaan kerja dan meningkatkan kinerja proyek. Hasil kajian menegaskan bahwa budaya K3 tidak hanya tanggung jawab manajemen, tetapi juga menuntut kesadaran dan komitmen setiap karyawan agar tercipta lingkungan kerja yang aman, sehat, dan produktif di seluruh proyek PT Yura Putra Pratama.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of Javanese vernacular architectural elements in the effectiveness of natural ventilation in tropical climates, given Indonesia's high temperatures, humidity levels of over 70%, and high solar radiation intensity throughout the year. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach through literature study, field observation, and architectural element analysis, focusing on the Joglo and Limasan house typologies, wood materials, cross openings, and roof shapes. The results show that the combination of structural elements, strategic openings, building orientation, and passive ventilation can reduce interior temperatures by 3–3.3°C, maintain humidity, and improve air quality without relying on mechanical systems. The discussion emphasizes the synergy between local wisdom and bioclimatic principles in creating thermal comfort, while also serving as a reference for sustainable modern tropical design. In conclusion, the integration of traditional elements and natural ventilation strategies effectively supports comfortable, healthy, and energy-efficient tropical housing.

Abstract

This study analyzes the aesthetics of the roofless Pinisi Pedestrian Bridge in the Sudirman area as an element of public space that plays a role in shaping the visual quality and pedestrian experience in the city center. A qualitative approach was used to understand users' perceptions of the form, materials, structure, and visual impressions that emerged after the revitalization. Documentation and thematic analysis studies show that design changes have improved comfort, safety, and area identity, in line with previous studies emphasizing the importance of aesthetics in urban spaces. The results of the study show that the presence of visual elements that are in harmony with the surrounding environment can create a more organized flow of movement and a more attractive atmosphere for the community. The revitalization of the Pinisi pedestrian bridge also strengthens the image of the Sudirman area as a modern public space that supports pedestrian activity. These findings confirm that the integration of aesthetic value and function is key in designing pedestrian infrastructure that is adaptive to the needs of urban communities.
