Abstract

This study aims to examine the regulation of citizens' rights and obligations as stipulated in the United States Constitution, especially in the Bill of Rights, and to analyze the relevance of its implementation for the development of the legal system in Indonesia. Using qualitative methods and a descriptive approach, this study uses various academic sources, including books, journals, and official documents. In addition, this study also highlights the importance of a transparent and fair justice system in protecting citizens' rights from violations. The main value of this study lies in its ability to provide insight into the development of a legal system in Indonesia that emphasizes a balance between citizens' rights and obligations. By studying the implementation of the principles of democracy and social justice in the United States, this study contributes to the development of just and sustainable legal governance.

Abstract

This study analyzes the social, political, economic, and intellectual dynamics of the pre-modern period of the Islamic world by focusing on three major empires: the Safavid in Persia, the Mughal in India, and the Ottoman in Anatolia. This period was marked by both the zenith of Islamic civilization and the onset of significant decline. The Safavid Empire, under Shah Ismail and reaching its golden age during the reign of Shah Abbas I, established Twelver Shi‘ism as the state religion, implemented centralized bureaucracy, expanded international trade, and promoted advancements in art, architecture, and philosophy. The Mughal dynasty, particularly under Akbar through Aurangzeb, consolidated political stability, developed agricultural and export-based trade systems, and produced monumental legal works such as Fatawa Alamgiri as well as architectural masterpieces like the Taj Mahal. In contrast, the Ottoman Empire began to experience military defeats and administrative weakness, which spurred an awareness of the need for reform through diplomacy and the adoption of Western technology, though often hindered by resistance from the ulema and Janissary corps. Overall, this period reflects the transition of the Islamic world from global supremacy toward stagnation and a reactive stance toward Western modernity, eventually laying the groundwork for the Islamic reform movements of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Abstract

This article examines how Ahimsa was institutionalized as a discourse of nonviolent citizenship in India and how this repertoire resonates in recent South Asian protest movements. Using qualitative document analysis and directed content analysis, the study analyzes Gandhian interpretations of Ahimsa and Satyagraha, Indian education policy documents, curriculum frameworks, and recent scholarly studies on civic resistance. The analysis traces three linked processes: moral translation, institutional transmission, and civic enactment. The findings show that Gandhi recast Ahimsa from a religious ethic into an active political repertoire through Satyagraha. Postcolonial institutions, especially education policy, then preserved Ahimsa as a normative language of citizenship. Recent protests in India, especially the farmers' movement and Shaheen Bagh, continued to use nonviolent repertoires while adapting them to gendered leadership, constitutional claim-making, and digital circulation. Comparative evidence from Bangladesh and Nepal further shows that youth-led civic resistance now relies heavily on networked communication, even when its moral language is not explicitly Gandhian. The article concludes that Ahimsa now operates less as a fixed personal trait than as a contested public language of nonviolent citizenship, strongest institutionally in India and echoed selectively elsewhere in South Asia.

Globalization has a significant impact on national life, one of which is marked by the decline in the spirit of nationalism and the increasing tendency of individualism. In this situation, the Indonesian archipelago perspective has a vital role as a way of life for the Indonesian nation that is based on the values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, in order to strengthen unity in facing global challenges. This article reviews the importance of the Indonesian archipelago perspective in forming the character of ideal citizens, which is reflected through an attitude of love for the homeland, loyalty to the state, tolerance, and upholding democratic values. Abstract

This study discusses the impact of the spread of hoaxes on Indonesia's national resilience, especially in the social, political, health, and economic contexts. The main issue raised is the increasing spread of hoaxes in the digital era, especially through social media, and its impact on national stability. This phenomenon is becoming more serious with the low digital literacy of the Indonesian people, which makes it easy for hoaxes to spread widely without verification of their truth. The main objective of this study is to see the extent to which hoaxes affect Indonesia's national resilience and to identify effective strategies in minimizing the threat of disinformation. Using a qualitative approach, data was obtained from various secondary sources such as reports from the Ministry of Communication and Information, Mafindo, and previous academic studies. Researchers analyzed the pattern of hoax spread through social media such as Facebook and WhatsApp. The main findings show that hoaxes contribute to decreasing public trust in the government, exacerbating political polarization, and triggering social unrest. In the health sector, hoaxes related to Covid-19  cause  fear  and  reduce  the  effectiveness  of  the  vaccination  program.  In  the economic sector. This study highlights the importance of increasing digital literacy and collaboration between the government and social media platforms to shape the flow of disinformation that threatens national resilience.
