Abstract

Digital transformation in the public sector has reshaped the strategic role of archival human resources (HR), shifting from administrative executors to information curators who collaborate with artificial intelligence systems. This study aims to review and synthesize theoretical frameworks relevant to defining the core competencies of archival HR in the era of Human-AI Collaboration (HAIC). A theoretical literature review method was employed, analyzing 32 academic articles and institutional documents published between 2003 and 2025. Thematic synthesis was used to identify and classify competency dimensions into three main categories: technological-adaptive competence, socio-ethical and curatorial competence, and collaborative-systemic competence. The findings indicate that strengthening archival HR competence cannot rely solely on technical skills, but must integrate reflective, ethical, and collaborative values within technology-based work systems. This study is expected to serve as a conceptual basis for the development of curricula, professional training, and contextually relevant and sustainable certification policies.

Abstract

iPusnas and JakLITera are two national digital library applications developed to enhance public access to literacy in Indonesia. This study compares user perceptions of both applications through sentiment analysis using the SentiWordNet (Sentiment WordNet) algorithm, implemented in Orange data mining software. The dataset comprises user comments from the Google Play Store, collected between 2023 and 2025. A qualitative, lexicon-based method was applied to classify sentiments into positive, neutral, and negative categories. Results show that iPusnas is dominated by negative sentiment (47%), mainly due to technical issues such as bugs, login failures, and slow performance. In contrast, JakLITera received 55% positive sentiment, largely due to the ease of reservation features, although OTP verification issues remain. The findings indicate that iPusnas is dominated by negative sentiment due to technical issues such as login failures and slow loading times, despite its strength in providing a wide range of digital collections. In contrast, JakLITera demonstrates relatively more positive responses owing to the efficiency of its reservation feature, although it remains constrained by account verification problems and limited collections.

Abstract

Museums play a crucial role in preserving cultural heritage through systematic collection management. As a repository for various historical collections from West Java, Museum Sri Baduga must ensure these collections remain accessible for future generations as part of its cultural preservation efforts. This research aims to explore collection management at Museum Sri Baduga as a part of cultural preservation efforts analyzing current practices, challenges, and innovations. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The research findings indicate that collection management practices at Museum Sri Baduga include the acquisition, documentation, classification, preservation, and digitalization of collections. Various challenges, such as limited human resources, insufficient operational budgets, and inadequate infrastructure, hinder optimal collection management. Nevertheless, Museum Sri Baduga continues to attract visitors, demonstrating a strong public interest in cultural preservation. The introduction of various innovations, including digital multimedia displays and the Museum Sri Baduga application, aligns with advancements in information delivery technology. This research concludes that Museum Sri Baduga has successfully undertaken cultural preservation efforts, characterized by systematic collection management despite the challenges encountered and the innovations implemented.

Abstract

The increasing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) among university students is driving changes in the way they seek and manage information, including in academic contexts. ChatGPT and DeepSeek AI are two AI platforms based on Large Language Models (LLMs) that are increasingly utilized as tools to support information seeking processes. This study aims to analyze the preferences of students from the Library and Information Science Program, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (FIB UI), in using these two platforms. The research employs a case study method with a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with ten students. This study explores their motivations, usage frequency, academic and non-academic benefits, differences in user experience, alignment with the field of library science, and technical challenges in using ChatGPT and DeepSeek. The findings show that students prefer ChatGPT due to its ease of use, speed, and user-friendly interface. Meanwhile, DeepSeek AI is considered superior in terms of technical accuracy, especially for academic tasks requiring precision, such as metadata processing and classification. User preferences are influenced by perceived usefulness, ease of use, performance expectations, social influence, and technical support. The study concludes that the alignment between academic needs and the technological features offered by LLM-based platforms is a key factor in students’ selection of AI-assisted tools.

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health issue in Indonesia, particularly in traditional rural communities such as those in Village X, Leuwi Damar Subdistrict, Lebak Regency, Banten, which are widely recognized as the Outer Baduy community. This study aims to analyze information-seeking behavior related to health information on stunting by examining information needs, preferred sources, barriers encountered, and the socio-cultural context influencing such behavior. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and semi-structured interviews involving 15 mothers with children under five as the primary participants. Data were analyzed thematically based on Wilson’s (1999) information-seeking behavior model and Savolainen’s (2018) information culture perspective. The findings indicate that (1) information needs are strongly associated with mothers’ direct experiences in dealing with children’s health problems; (2) village midwives serve as the most trusted and accessible information source; (3) limited information literacy and geographic distance are major barriers to seeking information; and (4) the acceptance of health information is shaped by trust and conformity with local cultural norms. This study recommends a community-based health communication strategy that leverages the role of healthcare workers and local community leaders as knowledge mediators. The findings enrich the discourse on information behavior by reaffirming the significance of trust and cultural aspects within traditional community contexts.

Abstract

Libraries have the opportunity to create a welcoming environment for neurodivergent individuals and promote the importance of inclusive access for everyone in the community. This study aims to identify the facilities and programs provided by the Jakarta-Cikini Library that can play a role in accommodating the needs of neurodivergent children. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and a case study method. Informants were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted over a four-month period, from March 2023 to June 2023, using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Informants in this study were the children's services librarian responsible for inclusion services and the neurodivergent child's companion. The results of this study indicate that the facilities and programs at the Jakarta-Cikini Library have played a role in accommodating the needs of neurodivergent children. The provision of various games in the Storytelling Room and the implementation of several programs in the Play Room related to sensory and motor activities support the needs of neurodivergent children. Training is also conducted for library staff to serve users with mental and intellectual disabilities. The obstacles experienced by the Jakarta-Cikini Library include budgeting for facilities needed by neurodivergent users and difficulty scheduling training time for library staff. With this, it is hoped that the Jakarta-Cikini Library will understand the importance of accommodating the needs of neurodivergent children so that it can continue to improve its services.

Abstract

Mediatek IFI Jakarta, as part of the Institut Français Indonésie (IFI), plays a vital role in supporting France’s cultural diplomacy in Indonesia. The library functions not only as a center for information access but also as a cultural space that facilitates language learning, exchange of ideas, and appreciation of French culture. This study aims to identify how Mediatek IFI Jakarta is utilized to strengthen France’s cultural diplomacy and foster intercultural understanding between France and Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative was employed in this research. Data were collected through interviews with two librarians and a pedagogical cooperation coordinator at IFI Jakarta. The analysis draws on Mariano’s concept of library diplomacy which made up of three dimensions: libraries in diplomacy, diplomacy for libraries, and libraries for diplomacy. The findings indicate that Mediatek IFI Jakarta supports French cultural diplomacy by shaping the library as an inclusive third place, leveraging their game collections, and designing cultural programs with the aspects of gamification to expand access and build mutual understanding of French and Indonesian cultures.
