Abstract

The learning process is a joint effort between teachers and students to share and process information. In the Indonesian language teaching, teachers can use several approaches. Among these are the communicative approach which emphasizes that the primary function of language is a tool for communicating. Contact the language is a language influence to other languages, either directly or indirectly, while bilingualisme means the use of two languages or more by a speaker. bilingualisme an early occurrence of interference. Interference is one of the linguistic events that occur as a result of language contact. Chosen speech teacher in the learning process as study materials, due to the speech teacher in the learning process there are still a lot of interference. Corresponding problems above, the purpose of this study was to describe the form of interference speech teacher at SMP Negeri 1 X Koto Tanah Datar in Indonesian language learning process. Type of research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is research that produces data that is descriptive, in the form of words in written or oral form. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Subjects in this study were three Indonesian teacher at SMP Negeri 1 X Koto. The method used in data collection is a method refer to. Data was collected by means of learning Indonesian recording is in progress. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis techniques. Results of the study revealed that there had been interference during the learning process, both interference at the level of phonological, morphological, syntactic, lexical, and semantic. This occurs because humans are basically mastered more than one language or bilingualisme influence and the tendency to use the first language into a second language by accident.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of students’ self-confidence in learning the Indonesian language. This issue is attributed to the inappropriate and insufficiently varied teaching methods used by the teacher. As a result, students’ self-confidence in Indonesian language learning is categorized as low. Therefore, the researcher was interested in experimenting with the Role Playing learning method to improve the self-confidence of Grade V. This research is quantitative in nature and uses a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The population of the study consisted of all Grade V students, totaling 13 students. Data analysis was conducted using the T-test with the help of SPSS version 2023. The data was processed using quantitative methods and then described through hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that the Role Playing learning method has an influence on the self-confidence of Grade V students at SDN 18 Balimbiang. The findings from the Paired Samples Test show a significance level (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.00. Based on degrees of freedom (df = 12) and a significance level of 0.05, the critical t-value is 11.52. Since the calculated t-value (t_count) is greater than the critical t-value (15.689 > 11.52), and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.05, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted. It can be concluded that the Role Playing learning method significantly influences the self-confidence of Grade V students in Indonesia language learning.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the low writing ability of students, particularly in composing simple sentences that conform to proper and correct Indonesian language structures. The Scramble learning model was chosen because it can motivate students to think actively and construct sentences systematically from scrambled words. This study aims to determine the influence of the Scramble learning model on the ability to write simple sentences of Grade II students at SDN 02 Pariangan. This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental approach using the one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consists of all Grade II students at SDN 02 Pariangan, totaling 17 students, consisting of 11 boys and 6 girls. The research instrument was a writing performance test, assessed based on five indicators: complete and clear sentence structure, correct use of spelling, meaningful and understandable sentences, sentences written sequentially to form a coherent story, and appropriate and easily understood vocabulary. The data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis to examine the significance of the differences before and after the treatment. The results of the study indicate an improvement in the ability to write simple sentences after the implementation of the Scramble learning model. This is evidenced by the increase in the average score from 55.82 in the pretest to 84.41 in the posttest. The improvement is also supported by the N-Gain score of 0.7035, which falls into the high category, and the N-Gain percentage of 70.35%, which is considered effective. Based on the results of the t-test, the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was 0.000, which is lower than the significance level of 0.05. Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, indicating that there is a significant effect of using the Scramble learning model on the ability to write simple sentences among second-grade students at SDN 02 Pariangan.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems in the early writing skills of second-grade students at SDN 03 Salimpaung. Students still had difficulties writing letters and words correctly, showed inconsistent use of spelling, and had low ability to arrange words into simple sentences. This condition was also influenced by the use of less varied teaching methods that did not actively involve students in the processes of thinking, speaking, and writing. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model on the early writing skills of second-grade students at SDN 03 Salimpaung. This study used a quantitative experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population of the study was all second-grade students of SDN 03 Salimpaung, with a sample of 14 students selected using total sampling. The instrument used to collect data was a test of writing simple sentences. Data analysis techniques included the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average score of students’ early writing skills increased from 61 in the pretest to 88 in the posttest. The t-test results showed a significance value smaller than α (0.000 < 0.005). This indicates that the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model has a positive effect on students’ early writing skills. Therefore, the TTW model can be applied in teaching writing in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This Research is based on the low speaking skills of students.the casual factor of this condition is the learning model used to make students bored so that it makes students not optimal in expressing ideas using the correct sentence sequence, and interrupted speech patterns, making the messeges conveyed difficult to understand. The main contributing factor to this condition is the learning model that tends to be monotonous, resulting in students not being optimal in expressing ideas using correct sentence structure, appropriate vocabulary selection, and supporting facial expressions when speaking. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of the application of the Listening Team learning model on the speaking skills of students in grade V to 03 Salimpaung. This research method is quantitative with an experimental approach, using pre-experimental design with one group Pretest-Posttest design type. The reseach subject include all V grade students totaling 17 people as both population and sample. Sample selection was conducted through total sampling technique. The data collection instrumens used include performance tests to measure students speaking skills applied at the beginning and end of the learning process. Data analysis was conducted through prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test. The research findings show that the average Pretest score obtained was 63.75, while the average Posttest score reached 87.94. These result are strengthened by the t-test which shows a significance value < α (0.000 < 0.005). This means there is a positive impact from the implementation of the Listening Team. This the Listening Team model can be used as one of the learning models in learning to speak in Indonesian language subjects.

Abstract

Difficulty distinguishing letters ‘b’ and ‘d’ is a common obstacle in early writing instruction in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the implementation of a five-sentence daily dictation strategy as a formula for distinguishing these two letters at UPT SD 19 Parambahan, Tanah Datar Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with the second-grade teacher, and documentation of learning activities. The results showed that the teacher applied daily dictation of five sentences accompanied by a point system (20 points per perfect line), direct correction, and a differentiated approach for students with special needs. Word wall media, blackboard examples, and the habit of reading before and after writing supported the success of this strategy. The main finding recorded a decrease in error rates in distinguishing letters ‘b’ and ‘d’ from 45% to 7% within four weeks. This study concludes that consistent daily dictation practice is an effective practical formula for overcoming letter discrimination difficulties in second-grade students. This article is expected to serve as a reference for teachers in designing systematic and sustainable writing instruction.
