Abstract

THE LEARNING OF BASIC COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE BASED ON BLENDED LEARNING AT AGRIBISNIS PROGRAM STIPER AMUNTAIAbstractThis research was aimed to implement the learning of basic computer knowledge based on blended learning to increase the motivation, interest, and learning achievement of the college students. This research used the classroom action research method carried out within 2 stages including developing learning media and implementing stage. The stages follow 3 cycles of learning process with the participants from the students of Agrobusines Program STIPER Amuntai, academic year of 2011/2012. The activities in Cycle I consisted of: planning, actions, observations, reflections, and evaluation. The activities in Cycle II were the follow-up and modification from cycle I. Cycle III was the improvement of cycle II. Instruments of this reseach include: the action/cycle observation sheets, motivation observation sheets, and interest observation sheets. The validity of the instrument was obtained through the expert judgment, while the reliability of the instrument was measured by using Cronbach Alpha technique, and the data analysis was done by using descriptive statistics. The research results show that through the learning of basic computer knowledge based on blended learning, there is an increase in the motivation, interest, and the learning achievement. Quantitatively, motivation increas in Cycle I into Cycle II, and becomes stable in Cycle, while the interest increas from cycle I in Cycle II, and increas again in Cycle III. The accomplishment of learning result is shown from the score of tasks and quizzes, from cycle I increas in Cycle II, and increas again in Cycle III. This accomplishment show that students are very enthusiastic and active and also that the action can increase the learning achievement.

Abstract

Learning in the 4.0 era uses the concept of 4C (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving, Creativity, and Innovation). This concept is linear to the use of information and communication technology (ICT). Technology literacy is involved in all subjects of learning. This phenomenon triggers the teachers, the students, and the school environment to play an active role so that technological progress has meaningfulness in increasing student competence. This study aims to: (1) describe the level of the use of ICT use, (2) determine the factors that influence the use of ICT, and (3) describe the ability of teachers to use ICT in the learning process. This research is a mixed-method with a sequential explanatory strategy. The data collected use questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results obtained: (1) the level of ICT utilization in the learning process is at level 4, which means Managed and Measurable. (2) the factors that influence the use of ICT in the learning process in Makassar City Vocational High School based on the Resiliency Maturity Assessment Framework screen components namely data application factors, and (3) the ability teachers in utilizing ICTs in the learning process at Vocational High School in Makassar City meet the criteria very well.

Abstract

The quality of education is determined by a good management process, including the evaluation process of vocational education graduates. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of the learning process in vocational education programs, which includes an implementation of the teaching and learning process, the implementation of industrial training, lecturer skills in industrial supervision training, and encouraging entrepreneurship by lecturers to students. This study used a mixed-method design, and data were collected by questionnaires and depth-interview questions. The sample size is 218 graduates successfully collected using the total sampling technique. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive statistics (SPSS 23.0) and qualitative descriptive. Qualitative data support the quantitative results through interviews with five research informants. The results showed that graduates agreed that the teaching and learning process, the implementation of industrial training, lecturer skills in industrial supervision training, encouraging entrepreneurship by lecturers to students had gone well. In conclusion, the implementation of the vocational education program has been following the program's objectives. However, the results of the study showed that there are still weaknesses in the guidance from lecturers to students in the practice of opening a business and updating developments in related industries. Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media for AC Split R32 in the subject of refrigeration and air conditioning engineering. The method used Research and Development (R&D), the model of research used is Successive Approximation Models 1 (SAM). The model goes through iteration 1 (Evaluate 1, Design 1, Develop 1), iteration 2 (Evaluate 2, Design 2, Develop 2), and iteration 3 (Evaluate 3, and product implementation). The data collection method uses instruments in the form of observations, interviews, literature studies, and questionnaires that use a Likert scale for measurement the instrument. Based on the research analysis results, media trainers get an average of 76 in the "Very Eligible" category. Then the material results get an average of 63.5 which states that job sheets are in the "Very Eligible" category. Meanwhile, for the feasibility test on 30 student respondents, an average of 71.8 was obtained in the "Very Eligible" category. Meanwhile, based on the performance practice assessment, the average result was 83.4 out of 10 students who practiced in the "Good" assessment category. Thus, based on the development research, the trainer and job sheet can be used as learning media.
