DIDAKTIKA: Jurnal Pendidikan Sekolah Dasar is an international, open access, multidisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that is online publishes two times in a year. DIDAKTIKA distributes articles that relate to both meta-analysis (include systematical review) and research and their suggestions for teaching and learning in primary school. Moreover, DIDAKTIKA presents articles that relate the most recent research in teacher education, children development, psychology of learning, inclusion, special education, teaching strategy and innovation, and educational assessment that all related to primary education.

Abstract

This research aims at improving the process of learning and improving the critical thinking skill using cooperative learning model type of think pair share at social studies for grade VA student SDN Giwangan. This research was classroom action research which refered to spiral model from Kemmis and Taggart. Data was collected by test and observation. The analize of data used descriptive quantitative. The result shows that cooperative learning type think pair share on social studies can improve the critical thinking skill. This is showed by average scores and mastery learning percentage in pre action, cycle 1, and cycle II. In pre action, average score is 54,81 and mastery learning percentage is 25%. In cycle 1, average score  increase to 75,64 and mastery learning percentage increase to 61%. In cycle II, average score increase to 81,61 and mastery learning percentage increase to 77%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of mathematical representation ability of elementary school students in South Sumedang District. The research method used is the survey method. The population chosen is the elementary school in South Sumedang District. The sample was chosen randomly, namely six grade V elementary schools in South Sumedang District with a total of 130 students. Based on the results of research on the representation ability of elementary school students in South Sumedang Subdistrict, only 34.6% included the very low category. When viewed per aspect, the verbal representation aspect was 41.2% in the very low category, the symbol representation aspect was 28.1% in the very low category, and in the visual representation aspect it was 34.6% in the very low category.

Abstract

Item analysis was conducted to assess the quality of items in the style material in grade IV elementary school. To achieve this goal, four points were examined in this study, including (1) item validity, (2) reliability, (3) difficulty level, and (4) item discrimination power. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 27 grade IV students at Kentungan Elementary School in February 2020. Quantitative data analysis techniques were carried out to determine the validity, reliability, difficulty level, and distinguishing features using the SPSS 17 application program. The results of this study were: (1 ) there are 15 valid questions in each cycle, (2) the level of reliability in the high category both in cycle I and cycle II, (3) in cycle I, there are 8 easy questions, 6 medium questions, and 1 difficult problem, whereas in cycle II, there are 8 easy questions and 7 moderate questions, (4) Related to the power of distinguishing questions, in cycle I, there are 8 questions in the excellent category, 6 good questions, and 1 sufficient problem, whereas in cycle II, there are 14 good questions and 1 question is enough. Keywords: item analysis, validity, reliability, item difficulty level, item discrimination power

Abstract

Social interaction is the relationship between one individual and another individual, one individual can influence other individuals so that there is reciprocity. The better the students' social interactions, the better their learning outcomes will be. Learning outcomes examined in this study are affective learning outcomes. This study aims to reveal whether the better social interaction, the better the affective learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in SDN throughout Kaliwates Jember District. The population of this research is the fifth-grade students of SDN in Kaliwates Jember District. This study is a correlation study with a population of 182 and a sample of 25 students. The main methods of collecting data are questionnaire and observation. To test the research hypothesis using the product-moment correlation formula with the help of SPSS 20 at a significance level of 5%. The results of the research analysis obtained the value of r_count r_tabel (0.748 0.266) and the coefficient of determination 56%. This shows that social interaction has a contribution of 56% to affective learning outcomes the remaining 44% is influenced by other factors. It can be concluded that the better social interaction, the better the affective learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN in Kaliwates Jember District.Keywords: Social interaction, affective learning outcomes, elementary school student

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analysis the work of illustrated images in representing deviation of self behaviour’s elementary school students. This research method is qualitative with a case study approach chosen as a study participant of 3 students. The Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, documentation, observation. Analysis of the validity of the data used in this study is use triangulation and then analyze the data by reducing data, presenting data and verifying. The results obtained are image expressions of thoughts, ideas, and self-concepts regarding the cause of the deviation of expression symbols in the visualization of student images. Keywords: Expression, child image, behavior deviation, elementary school

Abstract

The purpose in this study is to know the improvement of learning outcomes aspects of knowledge, and skills namely student activities, and achievement of minimum completeness criteria in the implementation of inquiry models with petaku media on the skala theory. This research was conducted in two elementary schools in the Kudus country. Sample in this research totaling 67 students, includes experimental and control class and conducted in three meetings. There are two variables, the independent variable is inquiry learning model with colaboration petaku media, and the dependent variable used is student learning outcomes in aspect of knowledge and students learning activities. The research is an experimental quantitative. The results showed that there was an increase in mathematics learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the inquiry learning model, which was indicated N-Gain test with increase of 0,69 and included in the category of moderate improvement. Students activities taught experimental class and control class there is also a difference, with a significance value that appears in the Mann-Whitney test that is equal to 0,037 which can be interpreted that learning activities in the experimental class are better than the control class. Learning ini experimental class also reached the classical and individual completeness criteria, the result of individual learning completeness indicated by the One-Sample TTestwith a significance level of 0.001, more than 75% of the students completed.Keywords: Inquiry model, mathematics achievement, Petaku media

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to represent bullying in one of the Model elementary schools in Sragen. This research adopts a qualitative approach, which is a case study, to reach the goal. The research subjects are all teachers and students of Model Elementary Schools. Data collected by observation and in-depth interviews. The results of this study describe (1) the impact shown by victims of both female and male gender and audience reactions; (2) forms of bullying; 3) handling bullying. Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of open ended strategies can improve students' creative thinking abilities. The research method used in this study is the classroom action research (CAR) method using the Kurt Lewin model consisting of four components namely, planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 45 students of MI Al-Khoiriyah Sawangan class of students. Data collection techniques used were observation sheets, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was performed in a qualitative description. Based on the results of the first cycle study 63% of students stated to have the ability to think creatively, in the second cycle 88% of students have the ability to think creatively. This achievement shows that the use of open ended strategies can improve students' creative thinking skills in thematic learning.  Keywords: Creative thinking ability, open ended, thematic learning, elementary school

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Sambatan Tradition in DermoloVillage, the values of character education and influence on children’s social behavior through an appreciation process. This research uses descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. The object of this research is the Sambatan Tradition in Dermolo Village, while the subject is the Dermolo Village community. The targets of this research are the Sambatan Traders, Dermolo Village community leaders, SDN 03 Dermolo principals, teachers and students. Data obtained through in-depth interview, observation, documentation and recording. There are two sources of data in this research, namely the Dermolo Village community who are directly involved with the Sambatan Tradition and education practitioners at SDN 03 Dermolo including students. Validity test uses source triangulation techniques. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification.  The Sambatan Tradition with character education value has a great influence on the lives of the people of Dermolo Village and encourages the appreciation of children. Sustainability of the Sambatan Tradition with values of tolerance, social care and environmental care implied in it has an influence on children’s development, especially social attitudes in daily life. Keywords: Sambatan Tradition, appreciation, character, social attitudes of children

Abstract

This research was conducted in class IV of Kepatihan Elementary School 01 Jember with 38 research subjects. The purpose of this study is to describe the process and find out the results of the development of audio visual as learning media with the theme of my residence area on the 4th grade students at SDN Kepatihan 01 Jember. This type of research is research and development. Type model uses ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The data analysis technique in this study used a validation sheet of audio visual learning media by the media expert validator and the material expert validator, and student learning outcomes assessment sheets and student responses. The results of the research data analysis showed the effectiveness of the results of the validation carried out by the two validators obtained results of 81,7 while the results obtained from the student learning outcomes test were 94,7% and student responses amounted to 73,7% so that it can be concluded that the audio-visual learning media has very fasible and effective criteria try out.  Keywords: Audio visual, learning media, elementary school
