JURNAL TRANSFORMASI: Jurnal Teologi dan Kepemimpinan diterbitkan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Teologi INTI Bandung. Karya ilmiah yang dikirimkan haruslah belum pernah atau tidak sedang dalam proses dimuat di jurnal lainnya. Abstract

This article is the result of research from the gospel of Luke 13:6-9. In this study, the author finds a spiritual meaning contained in it, which then raises the theme, namely about an opportunity to grow and bear fruit that comes from a helper bringing life according to the gospel of Luke 13:6-9. The method used is the method of parable exegesis using parable analysis. In the discussion, the fig tree that does not bear fruit and only has leaves is a picture of every human life who sometimes lives like believers because of the spiritual activities they show in public. However, in reality it is just an image. They are not people who really believe because they do not produce actions as the fruit of true faith. God as the owner of the vineyard, was finally angry to find humans who behaved like that. So that in the end God brought His punishment to humans. Jesus Christ, who was the gardener, finally intervened to defend the fruitless fig tree by asking God for mercy. For that, everyone responds to the mercy of Christ in his life by turning to God and being fruitful in Christ.

Abstract

The peculiarity of Cyril's doctrine of incarnation lies in the explanation of specific concepts. While many theologians only see the incarnation as penance, Cyril sees the incarnation as the key to the work of salvation. This means that the incarnation is the first step of the work of penance. On this basis he later stated that the incarnation as a restoration of nature. The work of penance does not stop at the stage of incarnation. Because the culmination of penance is the death and resurrection of Christ. The incarnation restored nature, Christ's death overcame sin, and Christ's resurrection overcame death. Then starting from this concept, Cyril is more specific in his concept by referring to kenosis, Emmanuel, one person, two natures, and recapitulation/Jesus as the second Adam. Through the incarnation, Christ has provided and given a new nature for us to use towards theosis. And it is our free will that determines whether or not to wear the new Christ-given nature.

Abstract

Children with autism generally experience disturbances/ delays in development which will continue into adulthood if not treated seriously from an early age. Not all parents and families can accept the existence of this child. Therefore, parents must have learned to understand, accept, and teach/ educate their children. Parents who have autistic children should realize that their children are a gift. God still loves them. God never disparage children (Matt. 19:13; Mark 10:13-16). Likewise, they should realize that the children they have are God’s perfect creations (Gen. 13:31). This writing used a descriptive analysis method to explain autistic children, the difficulties faced by parents who have autistic children, and explain the importance of attitudes that must be possessed in teaching their children. The results of this study are: First, autistic children are children who experience developmental disorders which result in being unable to communicate and cannot express their feelings and desires. Second, children with autism need extra attention compared to children in general. Third, parents need to have patience, love and remain faithful in teaching children at home, knowing the principles of learning for autistic children, and knowing how their children learn.

Abstract

The availability of servants of God in the city is much more adequate than that available in the country and not only in holistic quality but also in quantity. This non-ideal development cannot be separated from the fact that the complexity of urban life problems is indeed much more heterogeneous, compared to rural areas. Those who are called specifically as servants of God who carry out ecclesiastical ministry duties are one of the other parts of the body of Christ such as the laity. Both the clergy and the laity are representations of the Church as bringers of light into the world in a holistic and contextual manner, both in urban areas but also in rural areas. Therefore the attention of ecclesiastical ministry should not only be for urban but also rural in other words rural should not be ignored. At this time the church is faced with the challenge of the need for a resilience of congregational faith and an outreach challenge as is its missional call to reach out to its surroundings. In fact, in terms of quantity alone, there is a lack of resources of God's Servants. So the purpose of this study is to look at the causality of the lack of ministers of God in the presence of the opportunity for the preaching of the gospel to be relieved and the increase in the faith of the congregation in the relief. The variable of this study is the presence of ministers of God with opportunities for ecclesiastical ministry and Christian testimony for rural areas. The research method used is Qualitative Grounded. The results obtained from this study are that the ministry in the village has a shortage of God's servants so that lay congregations experience the silting of faith and the continued impact becomes unproductive both in quality growth which also has an impact on quantity. Another crucial issue related to the missionary vocation of the church is that the tribes that are still neglected in the region remain neglected. Therefore, through this study, the author proposes that the church reactivate a model of coaching for the laity based on ministry and evangelism

Abstract

The youth are the next generation whom doing church services in the future. The growth of youth either quality or quantity needs church concern.  For example, the youth discipleship program through the youth Sunday school program at Indonesian Baptist churches, especially in the city of Yogyakarta in particular and in Indonesia in general, was carried out as an effort by the church to prevent the decline in the presence of young people in fellowship and discipleship by way of maturation of faith.Although it’s been done, but it hasn’t shown any results. In this thesis author wants to research further how to developing deep faith for youth,  through Youth Sunday School. We will focus on indicator is obstacles in Youth Sunday School of Indonesian Baptist Church in Yogyakarta. The research samples involved the respondents of Sunday School administrators and the pastor of the Indonesian Baptist Church in Yogyakarta. The qualitative data analysis process includes three sub-processes. It’s consist of description, analysis, and interpretation. The research said the obstacles was found that there are couples of factor, there are Individual factor, Family factor, and another factor from inside and outside of the church.

Abstract

Self-image is an important thing that every human being must own. Because by having the right and proper self-image, then a person will be able to project him/herself correctly and precisely as well. It is not surprising that when a teenager has a good self-image, he/she will live a productive life or at least know how to appreciate his/herself well. It is not infrequently due to a bad or low self-image, one will live a life that is unproductive and tends to have low fighting power, and is even more likely to consider itself useless. Of course, this will have an impact on what will happen in the future. Seeing this phenomenon, we need an institution or group that can provide an understanding of self-image. The church and its pastoral practice are one way to instill Christian values ​​about self-image in youth. It is hoped that with these pastoral assistance activities, the youth will have a good and appropriate self-image. The writing of this scientific paper uses the literature research method, namely where the written sources used can provide the right contribution to the values ​​of self-image according to Christian values. This research can be a contribution to the church in its pastoral activities for youth because it is very relevant both theoretically and practically in instilling Christian values ​​about self-image.

Abstract

Junior High School students are classified as teenagers. Adolescents are the ages of children reaching adulthood who are looking for their own identity, so it is called puberty (sexual maturity). These teenagers tend to imitate other people, for example, parents, idols, or artists. Teenagers are also quickly affected from the positive and negative aspects. Junior high school students also have spiritual activities to support their faith growth. Spiritual activities are activities that support a person to increase spiritual growth. Spiritual activities can be done in churches and schools. In Christian schools, there are many spiritual programs and activities, including morning prayer, joint worship, Easter and Christmas services. Students are taught to increase the growth of their spiritual faith in God and become children who fear God and can have a positive impact on other children. In the house, parents must also have a role in the spiritual growth of their children, spiritual activities must be carried out, especially in the family, the family becomes the basis where the child has the knowledge or knowledge to know what is good and what is not. Spiritual activities should be emphasized in early childhood. But many Christian families do not apply spiritual activities to their children, because of the busyness of each parent. The author is worried about the future of students who don't get a good spiritual life, this is the responsibility of parents because parents are God's representatives, in the Bible Deuteronomy 6: 4-9 the duties of parents must be carried out because it is the basis of the child to learn various things, including faith in God.

Abstract

Prayer is a way of communicating with God, which means that only in prayer can people convey thei struggles or request to God, especially asking for God’s mercy. Awareness of the sins that have been committed, then one way to avoid getting the anger and wrath of God is ti ask God’s mercy through prayer. This paper is written to analyze Daniel’s prayer for God’s mercy based on the book of Daniel 9:1-19 and obtain it’s implications for Christians. In making thins paper, the method used is descriptive-qualitative method, which is to reveal a meaning and produce a view or interpretation of tha text being studied, before God, acknowledge God’s justice, and then ask God’s mercy

Abstract

Humans were created in the image of God. We cannot draw literal/physical meanings, but figurative meanings. We cannot understand it like humans have hands, then God also has hands, just like human hands, the human body is the same as God's body. Humans are created in the image of God or in other words imago dei is a perfection of God in the creation of his creatures. The discussion related to understanding Man as the Imago Dei in the Book of Genesis 1: 28 will be explained by the researcher in this article. The formulation of the problem in this article includes the purpose of human creation. The nature of human nature in the Bible and how does the Book of Genesis 1: 26-28 explain human beings as Imago Dei?. Short conclusion on this article. God in creating humans positioned humans as perfect creatures. Humans as imago dei do not have a physical meaning but the meaning of expression as a form of human glory. Humans have a responsibility to carry out divine missions to manage the universe. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative approach, in which this research approach produced descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior. This research includes the type of library research.

Abstract

Bidang ilmu kepemimpinan telah mengalami perkembangan yang cepat dengan berbagai pendekatan yang telah ditawarkan. Di dalam konteks kepemimpinan organisasi telah banyak pendekatan kepemimpinan yang dikembangkan mulai dari pendekatan sifat, kemampuan atau skill, dan kepemimpinan yang autentik. Dengan melihat kebutuhan di dalam masyarakat banyak para peneliti mengembangkan kepemimpinan autentik yang membicarakan tentang bagaimana seorang pemimpin dapat dipercaya. Di dalam konteks kepemimpinan Kristen juga dibutuhkan pemimpin Kristen yang autentik di dalam menggembalakan domba-domba Allah. Pasalnya, di dalam menggembalakan domba-domba Allah diperlukan ketulusan dan kesukarelaan. Untuk itu, penulis berusaha menganalisis kepemimpinan Kristen yang autentik dengan metode eksegesis Injil Yohanes 10:1-21. Dalam upaya analisis ini penulis memberikan pemahaman kepemimpinan Kristen yang autentik melalui tiga aspek yaitu tinjauan teologis, proses kepemimpinan, dan kemudian direfleksikan ke dalam nilai-nilai kepemimpinan yang autentik dengan melihat empat komponen pembentuk kepemimpinan autentik, yaitu pemahaman diri, perspektif moral yang digunakan, pengolahan yang seimbang, dan transparansi hubungan.
