Mazidah: Journal of Educational Research is an open access and peer-reviewed journal published by Indonesian Scientific Journal Consultant which provides articles in all fields of Education and related disciplines. The use of the word Mazidah for the name of the journal implies that the articles published are expected to add good scientific insight, the development of research on education, and develop the world of education and disseminate it to the wider community. The articles published are selected articles related to Education. Mazidah: Journal of Educational Research is an open access and peer-reviewed journal published by Indonesian Scientific Journal Consultant which provides articles in all fields of Education and related disciplines. The scope of Education includes educational research, learning in Islamic boarding schools, learning in schools, learning in universities, philosophy of education, curriculum in education, educational management, innovation in teaching and learning. Mazidah: Journal of Educational Research is published 4 (four) times a year, namely in March, June, September and December. Each issue contains articles in the form of conceptual articles and research articles. This journal is published in Indonesian, but articles in English are also accepted.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the globalization era has driven the modernization of instructional tools in educational institutions, including the utilization of Smart TV as a central hub for interactive multimedia in the classroom. This study aims to exploratively analyze the perception of ninth-grade students toward the use of Smart TV in interactive learning at MTs Unggulan Nurul Qur’an, focusing on visual clarity, classroom engagement, and its impact on attention span. The research method employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with ninth-grade students, passive participant observations of cyber classroom dynamics, and curriculum documentation studies. Data analysis applied the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity testing through technique and source triangulation. The results indicate that students hold a highly positive perception toward the integration of Smart TV, as it is proven to provide high visual clarity and significantly enhance student engagement through two-way communication patterns. However, from a psychological perspective, students also perceive challenges regarding the risk of attention deficit due to the abundance of screen visual stimuli. Therefore, this study concludes that the successful adoption of smart screen instructional technology strictly requires a sustainable synergy between teachers' digital literacy skills in managing classroom scenarios and students' internal moral regulation to maintain academic discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of Quizizz as a learning medium in Qur’an Hadith instruction and to explore students’ perceptions regarding its impact on learning motivation at MAN 1 Tuban. The research applied a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results reveal that the implementation of Quizizz creates a more interactive, engaging, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Students show positive responses, as this medium is perceived to enhance learning motivation both intrinsically, through curiosity and challenge, and extrinsically, through features such as points, rankings, and immediate feedback. In addition, Quizizz encourages greater student activity, focus, and participation during the learning process. Despite several technical limitations such as internet connectivity and device availability, Quizizz is generally effective as an innovative learning medium aligned with the demands of digital-era education.
