Abstract

Based on communication with one of the teachers at SMA N 1 Cepiring, information was obtained that the teachers needed updated information regarding the implementation of Class Action Research (CAR) and wrote down the results in scientific articles. Most teachers still experience difficulties in writing scientific articles which in turn have an impact on hampering the career paths and ranks of teachers. The low percentage of publication of teacher's scientific work is partly due to the fact that teachers still do not know the procedures for writing scientific papers according to academic standards. In line with these matters, this community service activity aims to provide information about CAR and scientific article writing. The method used in this activity is in the form of training and technical guidance with material covering CAR reviews, tips for writing CAR-based articles, how to access journal websites, mentoring activities in writing articles, and guidelines for submitting articles to scientific journals/magazines. After participating in this activity, teachers' motivation in professional competence and self-development in academic qualifications, especially problems in CAR up to publication can increase.

The leaves used are papaya leaves, cassava, ferns, kenikir. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method located at SD N Jombor. This research was carried out by making initial observations regarding eco print-based learning. This observation technique is used to observe student activities in learning activities. At the implementation stage, researchers conduct training or practice directly the eco print process. The results of this research show that using the eco print technique can increase students' creativity through pattern preparation activities that produce interesting compositions.

Abstract

The large amount of leaf litter in the partner environment of SMP Negeri 24 Semarang City as one of the prospective Adiwiyata schools will in the long term become a problem that requires more innovative and scientific solutions and handling. On the other hand, the problem of increasing wood utilization requires a more serious solution. The solution offered by the implementing team to this problem is through processing leaf waste into composite material which is expected to be a substitute for wood which can be applied as a sound absorber in the partner environment of SMP Negeri 24 Semarang. Leaf waste and silica together with polyurethane (PU) polymer are molded at a certain pressure and temperature for a certain time to obtain a material with the most optimum mechanical strength. This activity has been carried out well, the partners involved (in this case students and teachers) have succeeded in making composites from leaf waste which is abundant in the school environment. This composite will later be applied as a damper in one of the rooms at SMP 24 Semarang.

Abstract

Elementary school teachers in Gunungpati District, Semarang, still experience difficulties in: (1) implementing learning that can prepare students to face the minimum competency assessment (AKM), (2) compiling instruments that can be used to train students to face AKM, namely literacy and numeracy. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out training activities for teachers in the KKG, in order to prepare them to familiarize their students with knowing and taking literacy and numeracy tests. The aim of this service activity is to provide training for teachers through KKG activities with a facilitation-based Action Learning model. The specific aim is to assist elementary school teachers in improving their pedagogical competence in the areas of learning and evaluation. The problem solving method that has been agreed upon by partners is the implementation of programmed training. The solution method design refers to the facilitation-based Action Learning model. Action learning is defined as a process in which a group of people come together regularly, help each other to learn, and share experiences. This training requires a tutor who acts as a facilitator, and continues with the mentoring phase. Before carrying out the training, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held with several elementary school principals and the head of the Dewi Kunthi KKG, Gunungpati District, Semarang. The results of the FGD are used to design training scenarios for each activity and training materials. The success of the training was marked by the increasing ability of teachers in designing science and science lessons and preparing AKM questions, namely literacy and numeracy.
