Abstract

The phenomenon of online gambling among adolescents in Cilegon City continues to rise and is linked to mental health problems. However, empirical evidence on how much the intensity of play influences anxiety, stress, and depression remains limited. This causal-comparative quantitative study involved 30 adolescents aged 15–21 selected through purposive sampling. Participants were divided into two groups: 15 “occasional” and 15 “frequent” online gamblers. Instruments were 4-point Likert-scale questionnaires measuring anxiety (α = 0.763), stress (α = 0.745), and depression (α = 0.781); item validity met the criterion r > 0.3. Data were analyzed with MANOVA using SPSS 31.0. MANOVA revealed a significant simultaneous effect (Wilks’ Lambda = 0.176; F = 13.004; p < 0.001). Follow-up tests showed strong effects of intensity on anxiety (F = 31.136; η² = 0.536), stress (F = 15.942; η² = 0.368), and depression (F = 20.806; η² = 0.424). Mean scores on all three psychological aspects were significantly higher in the “frequent play” group. These findings align with previous studies emphasizing that repeated exposure to financial and social risks in online gambling increases adolescents’ cognitive–emotional burden, with effect contributions up to 53.6 % indicating intensity as a primary predictor. The more frequently adolescents engage in online gambling, the higher their levels of anxiety, stress, and depression become. Family, school, and digital-regulation-based interventions are needed to prevent further psychopathological impacts.

Abstract

Leadership plays a strategic role in realizing quality education. This study aims to analyze the influence of authentic leadership of principals, responsible management education, and teacher performance motivation on continuing education in junior high schools in Jambi City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique on principals and teachers. Data were obtained from 221 respondents and analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. The results of the analysis show that all three variables have a significant relationship with continuing education (p < 0.001), with responsible management education showing the highest correlation (r = 0.792). However, in the regression model, only responsible management education has a significant direct effect on continuing education (β = 0.762; p < 0.001). This model explains 62.9% of the variation in continuing education (R² = 0.629). These findings emphasize the importance of responsible management education practices in supporting the implementation of continuing education in schools. This study contributes to the development of educational leadership studies in Indonesia and recommends strengthening sustainability-based leadership training programs at the secondary education level.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of teachers in shaping student character through rules enforcement and habituation at madrasah. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Banten Province. The results showed that rules enforcement provided clear behavioral guidelines fostering discipline and responsibility, while habituation established positive behavioral patterns such as honesty and cooperation. Teachers acted not only as enforcers but also as role models implementing humanistic approaches. Integration of both strategies effectively shaped students’ moral character aligned with Islamic values. It is recommended that madrasah enhance teacher training on character education integration to maximize these approaches in daily practice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Learning Engagement berdampak pada kemandirian belajar mahasiswa di era Society 5.0. Fokus masalah adalah bagaimana integrasi teknologi dan keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa dapat menumbuhkan kemandirian dalam belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan data yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 349 mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Padang yang bertindak sebagai responden. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode regresi linear berganda melalui software SPSS versi 26. Hasil studi mengonfirmasi adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari penggunaan Artificial Inteligence dan Learning Engagement terhadap kemandirian belajar mahasiswa, baik secara simultan maupun parsial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi wirausaha dan orientasi kewirausahaan terhadap daya saing Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kabupaten Sumbawa. UMKM memegang peranan vital dalam perekonomian Indonesia, namun menghadapi tantangan dalam persaingan global dan revolusi digital, yang menuntut penguatan aspek internal seperti kompetensi wirausaha dan orientasi kewirausahaan. Kompetensi wirausaha mencakup kemampuan perencanaan bisnis, pengelolaan sumber daya, inovasi, komunikasi, dan kepemimpinan, yang esensial agar UMKM adaptif dan tangguh. Sementara itu, orientasi kewirausahaan merefleksikan sikap inovatif, proaktif, dan keberanian mengambil risiko, yang terbukti memperkuat strategi bisnis dan mendorong penetrasi pasar. Data di Kabupaten Sumbawa menunjukkan adanya keterbatasan dalam pengembangan kompetensi SDM dan mentalitas kewirausahaan. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan survei terhadap 100 responden UMKM di Kabupaten Sumbawa, dengan analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) pendekatan Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa baik kompetensi wirausaha maupun orientasi kewirausahaan secara signifikan dan positif memengaruhi daya saing UMKM. Orientasi kewirausahaan bahkan menunjukkan pengaruh yang lebih kuat dibandingkan kompetensi wirausaha, menegaskan pentingnya kedua faktor ini untuk meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif UMKM di tengah dinamika pasar.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the outdoor study method in learning Science for fifth-grade students in UPT SDN 198 Pinrang. The outdoor study method is a learning approach outside the classroom that provides direct experience for students to observe and understand science concepts contextually. This research uses a qualitative approach with field research methods, namely research carried out directly at the location to obtain the required data. Research subjects included class V homeroom teachers and students. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The data analysis process is carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verifying research results. The implementation of the Outdoor Study method in learning Natural Sciences in class V UPT SDN 198 Pinrang has proven to be effective, because the teacher uses an approach that is appropriate to the material and utilizes the surrounding environment as a learning medium.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of differentiated learning approaches on student learning outcomes in visual arts education at UPT SD Negeri 1 Pinrang. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group methodology, involving 60 fourth-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received differentiated learning instruction tailored to individual learning styles, readiness levels, and interests, while the control group experienced traditional teaching methods. Data collection utilized visual arts performance assessments, student engagement observations, and learning outcome evaluations. Statistical analysis employed paired t-tests and independent sample t-tests to examine within-group and between-group differences. Results demonstrated significant improvements in the experimental group's visual arts learning outcomes, with mean scores increasing from 68.5 to 82.3, compared to the control group's improvement from 67.8 to 71.2. The differentiated learning approach showed particular effectiveness in enhancing creative expression, technical skills, and artistic appreciation among students with diverse learning preferences. Students in the experimental group exhibited higher engagement levels, improved self-confidence in artistic activities, and enhanced collaborative skills during visual arts projects. The findings suggest that differentiated instruction significantly impacts student achievement in visual arts education by accommodating individual learning differences and promoting inclusive educational practices. This research contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting differentiated pedagogy in elementary arts education and provides practical implications for educators seeking to optimize learning outcomes for all students.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament learning model assisted by flashcards and analyze its effectiveness on the reading ability of first-grade students at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 211 Pinrang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design, involving 56 first-grade students divided into experimental and control groups, each with 28 students. The experimental group received instruction using the Teams Games Tournament model with flashcards over 10 meetings, while the control group followed conventional learning. Data on reading ability were collected through oral and written tests, as well as observations of teacher and student activities. Data analysis used descriptive statistics to depict reading ability and inferential statistics through a t-test to test hypotheses. The results showed that the Teams Games Tournament model with flashcards was implemented very well, with an average teacher activity implementation rate of 91.8% and student activity at 87.7%. The experimental group’s reading ability significantly improved from an average of 55.68 on the pretest to 78.36 on the posttest, compared to the control group’s increase from 56.25 to 65.32. The t-test yielded a t-value of 5.235, greater than the t-table value of 2.004, with a significance of 0.000, indicating the model’s effectiveness in enhancing students’ reading ability. Abstract

This research aims to develop character-based comic media to improve mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students, specifically on multiplication material in third grade. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. Research subjects included 90 third-grade students and 6 mathematics teachers from three elementary schools in Parepare City, South Sulawesi. Research instruments consisted of validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, learning outcome tests, learning implementation observation sheets, and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis for qualitative data and correlated t-test and N-gain calculation for quantitative data. The results showed that: (1) Character-based comic media has been successfully developed following the ADDIE model and adapted to the characteristics of third-grade elementary school students; (2) Comic media was rated as very valid by material experts (4.58), media experts (4.67), and character education experts (4.52); (3) Comic media was rated as very practical by teachers (88.4%) and students (87.6%); (4) Comic media proved effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes with a significant increase from pretest (54.67) to posttest (82.44) with an N-gain of 0.61 (medium category); (5) There was an increase in the internalization of character values in students from an average score of 2.73 to 3.61; (6) Teacher and student responses to comic media were in the very positive category with percentages of 92.2% and 90.4%. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of digital technology in the development of character-based mathematics comics that can be accessed through mobile applications, as well as the explicit integration of character values in mathematics learning. The results of this research can be an alternative solution to improve mathematics learning outcomes while instilling character values in elementary school students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media pop-up book digital terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental tipe nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 58 siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Sukun, Kota Malang yang terbagi dalam kelompok eksperimen (30 siswa) dan kelompok kontrol (28 siswa). Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan angket respon siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan ANCOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol (F=25,037; p<0,05). Kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan N-gain score 0,49 (kategori sedang), sedangkan kelompok kontrol 0,23 (kategori rendah). Aspek evaluasi mengalami peningkatan tertinggi dengan N-gain score 0,63, diikuti aspek analisis (0,59), inferensi (0,52), interpretasi (0,41), dan eksplanasi (0,38). Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan rata-rata skor 3,49 dari skala 4. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media pop-up book digital efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar dan menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna.
