Language plays a crucial role as a means of communication in bilingual communities, where the use of two or more languages often gives rise to various linguistic phenomena, one of which is code-mixing. This phenomenon has become increasingly prevalent in digital media, particularly podcasts, which have emerged as a popular communication platform. This study aims to describe the forms of code-mixing and identify the factors contributing to its occurrence in Maudy Ayunda's podcast. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with the data consisting of utterances containing code-mixing extracted from the podcast. Data were collected through observation, note-taking, and documentation techniques, and analyzed using Suwito's theory of code-mixing and Chaer and Agustina's theory of the factors influencing code-mixing. The findings reveal that the code-mixing used in Maudy Ayunda's podcast encompasses various forms influenced by linguistic, social, and situational factors. These findings provide insights into the practice of code-mixing in digital media and contribute to the advancement of sociolinguistic studies, particularly regarding language use in contemporary communication platforms.

This study aims to describe the types of figurative language used in the modern poem “Jalan Baru” by Willy Fahmy Agiska and to explain their meanings and functions in constructing the poem's message. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a stylistic approach. The data source was the poem “Jalan Baru”, which was analyzed through reading and note-taking techniques. The data consisted of words, phrases, lines, and stanzas containing figurative language elements, which were then classified and interpreted based on their types and functions. The results showed five types of figurative language: metaphor, personification, repetition, symbolism, and irony. Metaphor and symbolism were the most dominant forms, representing life changes, hope, human relationships, and reflections on life. Meanwhile, personification, repetition, and irony strengthened expression, emphasized meaning, and conveyed social criticism. Therefore, figurative language plays an important role in creating aesthetic value and deepening the meaning conveyed by the poet.

This research explores language styles in Zootopia 2 as a representation of social interaction and identity formation in cinematic discourse. Film dialogue serves not just as a means of communication but also mirrors social relationships, power structures, and cultural values. The study aims to identify the various language styles used, analyze their roles in character interactions, and examine how they reflect social realities. It adopts a qualitative descriptive methodology within a sociolinguistic framework. The data include selected dialogues from main and supporting characters, gathered through observation and transcription. Using Martin Joos’ classification, the analysis reveals all five styles are present, with casual style being most prevalent, indicating natural and close interpersonal communication. Formal and consultative styles occur in institutional settings, while the intimate style appears in emotionally charged interactions. The findings suggest that language styles in Zootopia 2 are essential for shaping character identity, guiding interactions, and portraying broader social issues within the storyline.
