Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Islamic economic principles and the local wisdom embedded in damar plantation management in Pakel Guci Alit Village, as well as its implications for community welfare and interreligious harmony. Historically, the village's economic life has been closely associated with damar cultivation, which functions not only as the primary source of livelihood but also as a social institution that fosters solidarity, tolerance, and social cohesion. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study explores the lived experiences, perceptions, and shared meanings of community members through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Islamic economic principles—including justice, trustworthiness, “shūrā” (consultation), equitable distribution, and the prohibition of exploitation—are deeply embedded in local practices such as mutual cooperation, collective decision-making, and traditional communal rituals. The convergence of these religious and cultural values has fostered a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive system of community-based economic governance. Furthermore, the integration of these values contributes not only to improved economic productivity but also to stronger interreligious harmony, as socio-economic interactions are guided by a shared ethical framework that transcends religious differences. This study proposes a novel conceptual model of community-based economic development that demonstrates how the synergy between Islamic economic values and local wisdom can serve as an effective strategy for promoting sustainable rural development and strengthening social cohesion in multicultural communities

Abstract

This study examines the professional ethics and moral accountability of Islamic counselors by integrating perspectives from Da’wah science and Fiqh al-Muʿāmalāt. Despite the increasing strategic relevance of Islamic counselors as frontline agents of religious guidance, community empowerment, and conflict prevention, their ethical competence remains uneven, largely due to limited standardization, insufficient training, and the complexity of modern socio-religious challenges. The purpose of this research is to construct a critical framework that explains how professional conduct can be strengthened through a synthesis of normative Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary da’wah ethics. Using a qualitative-descriptive design framed by a phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that ethical accountability must be grounded in three foundational domains: moral-spiritual integrity, legal-juridical compliance, and professional-functional competence. This study offers an integrative ethical model that reinforces counselors’ credibility and public trust, with implications for policy, training curricula, and institutional governance

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has reshaped adolescents' interpersonal dynamics, particularly through the phenomenon of phubbing and reflecting others in favor of smartphone use. This study examines the correlation between the Qur'anic ethics of greeting (salam) in QS. An- Nisā ' 86 and the behavioral disruption caused by phubbing among teenagers. Using a thematic tafsir approach combined with phenomenological analysis, this research explores how digital distraction undermines key Islamic ethical values such as reciprocity, social presence, and respectful acknowledgment. Findings reveal that phubbing functions as a form of interpersonal disengagement that contradicts the Qur'anic command to respond to greetings with attentiveness and excellence. The study identifies three Qur'anic ethical pillarsḥuḍūr (presence), jawāb (responsiveness), and iḥtirām (respect) as a conceptual framework for addressing digital communication problems in contemporary Muslim societies. This integrative model contributes to bridging classical Islamic ethical discourse with modern psychosocial challenges. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for ethical digital literacy and calling for broader cross-cultural and longitudinal research to strengthen the understanding of phubbing's implications for Islamic communication ethics.

Abstract

The phenomenon of inclusive religiosity in Indonesia has become an important discourse in strengthening social cohesion within a pluralistic society. Bulakrejo Village, Balerejo District, known as Kampung Pancasila, presents unique religious practices, particularly in the relationship between Islam and national values. This reality is interesting to study because it displays a relatively harmonious pattern of socio-religious interaction, despite being colored by diverse religious identities and practices. This research gap arises because most research on inclusive religiosity in Indonesia still focuses on large cities or interfaith communities, while village-based studies—especially those labeled Kampung Pancasila—are still very limited. The novelty of this research lies in its effort to uncover the construction of an inclusive Islamic identity at the village level by positioning Pancasila as a framework for communal life. The research questions are as follows: First, how are inclusive religious practices built in the Pancasila Village of Bulakrejo Village, Balerejo? Second, how does Islamic identity interact with Pancasila values in the community's social life? The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participant observation, and local document analysis. Preliminary results indicate that inclusive religiousness in Pancasila Village is formed through socio-religious practices based on mutual cooperation, interfaith celebrations, and the internalization of Pancasila values in religious forums. Islamic identity in Bulakrejo does not appear exclusive, but rather serves as an integrative force that strengthens social harmony.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the preparation a teacher must undertake to develop a learning method using a classroom management approach at 2 Bustanul Ulum Dawuhan Lumajang Junior High School. This research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data collection included observation, interviews, and documentation. Source triangulation was used to validate the data. The results showed that teacher preparation for learning included varied seating arrangements, such as traditional, semicircular/U-shaped, and group seating. Teachers alternated student seating arrangements. The learning methods developed included: a) the student role-playing learning method developed by the teacher, which was able to arouse enthusiasm and increase learning enthusiasm. b) The expert group method was able to foster students’ courage to express their opinions in class. c) The investigative method was able to foster good work habits in everyday life.
