Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and guidance to the congregation, especially PJJ Sector 1 GBKP Runggun Padang Cermin, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, regarding how to prepare cash financial reports. This activity was carried out on June 6-7, 2025 at the home of one of the administrators of PJJ Sector 1 GBKP Runggun Padang Cermin, Langkat Regency. The delivery method in this training is divided into five, namely interactive presentations, group discussions, exercises or stimulation, real case studies, and Q&A sessions. This activity is divided into two days with the agenda on the first day focusing on discussing building the foundations of cash management, and on the second day the focus of the discussion is cash planning and control. The result of this activity is an increase in the knowledge of the congregation of PJJ Sector 1 Runggun Padang Cermin, Langkat Regency regarding proper cash financial management. The congregation, especially the administrators, learn to make financial reports quickly and regularly

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in local economic growth, but many still face obstacles in branding, packaging, and digital marketing. One of them is the Kicimpring MSME owned by Mrs. Rohaeni in Cipondok Village, Kadugede District, Kuningan Regency. This community service program aims to develop the MSME through innovative packaging design, branding optimization, and utilization of digital platforms for online sales. The activity was carried out from March to April 2025 with a participatory method and direct practice, which involved training in creating logos, product catalogs, product photos, and creating social media and marketplace accounts (Instagram, Shopee, and Linktree). The results of the activity showed a significant increase in product visualization and appeal, promotion effectiveness, and market reach. Product packaging became stronger, more attractive, and informative, while consistent digital branding improved the professional image of MSMEs. In conclusion, the participatory approach and intensive mentoring have proven to be able to significantly increase the competitiveness and independence of MSME actors. This program can be replicated in other MSMEs to encourage economic independence based on local potential.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out with the aim of improving the understanding and capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Timbang Village, Kuningan Regency, in utilizing digital media as a tool to market their products. The rapid development of information technology requires business actors, including those in rural areas, to adapt to digital marketing strategies in order to maintain competitiveness. The implementation methods include socialization and interactive discussions on the basics of digital marketing, the use of Instagram social media, as well as techniques for creating engaging promotional content. The results of the activity showed a high level of enthusiasm from participants, as indicated by their active involvement in question-and-answer sessions and their willingness to apply the material provided. This activity has proven to have a positive impact on increasing participants’ digital literacy and has opened new insights regarding modern marketing strategies. Therefore, similar activities are highly relevant to be continued regularly in order to encourage MSME empowerment through strengthening digital capacity.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cisantana Village, Kuningan Regency, still face limited understanding regarding investment in the capital market and funding through Security Crowdfunding mechanisms. This community engagement activity aimed to enhance the financial literacy of MSME players by providing direct education on the potential of capital market investment and alternative funding strategies using registered Security Crowdfunding platforms. The training methods included lectures, interactive discussions, and practical simulations to deliver an applied learning experience. A total of 51 MSME participants took part voluntarily from the local community. The effectiveness of the training was assessed through a comparison of pretest and posttest scores, which showed a significant improvement in comprehension. Additionally, participants responded positively, indicating that the training improved their knowledge and skills in making investment decisions and accessing alternative funding options. They also appreciated the presenters' mastery of both material and delivery techniques, which facilitated the understanding of complex concepts in a structured and accessible manner. This training is expected to contribute to the financial independence of MSMEs and broaden their access to safe and officially registered modern funding sources

Abstract

This community service activity focused on enhancing the understanding and skills of Carnegie High School students in Medan in building personal branding in the digital era. With the rapid development of technology and the dominance of social media in daily life, positive personal branding has become a crucial factor for individual success, both in education and future career prospects. This activity was implemented as a short 1-hour workshop adopting an interactive and participatory approach, involving 40 students from grades X and XI. The workshop included a material presentation session covering the definition, importance of self-image, and use of digital platforms, followed by practical exercises such as creating a "branding statement" and social media bio. Direct observation and evaluation through questionnaires showed high enthusiasm from the students. A total of 36 out of 40 students successfully crafted their branding statements, reflecting diverse interests and aspirations, such as the desire to be known as creative students in digital art or students with leadership qualities. This indicates that the concept of personal branding can be effectively understood and applied in a short time. The majority of students (90%) reported a good understanding of the material, and 93% felt the topic was highly relevant to their lives. Additionally, 88% of students felt more confident in presenting the best version of themselves digitally, demonstrating a new awareness of the importance of forming a positive self-image online

Abstract

Bookkeeping for MSMEs is required by the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (SAK EMKM). Recording and reporting are certainly significant obstacles for business actors. One obstacle often faced by MSMEs is the lack of financial data that can be used to apply for funding from banks and other financial institutions. The purpose of this community service (PkM) activity is to teach and train participants in preparing financial reports in accordance with SAK EMKM. The activity method is divided into three main stages: identifying needs, providing instructions or simulations for preparing financial reports and interactive discussions, and providing practical support and assessments. To ensure the material is easily accepted and used by MSMEs, a participatory approach is used. Based on the results of the activity, the interactive training accompanied by intensive mentoring was able to improve participants' understanding and ability in preparing basic financial reports, as well as improving partners' understanding of SAK EMKM and their understanding of accounting recording and reporting.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through a multidisciplinary approach, including health education, business management training, and basic financial recording. The main issues faced by MSME actors include low awareness of occupational health, weak business planning and management, and a lack of understanding in financial transaction recording. The activity was carried out in Sukamaju Sub-district, Cempaka Putih District, Central Jakarta, involving 30 participants from various micro-enterprises. The implementation methods included interactive lectures, practical simulations, group discussions, and evaluations through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of occupational health, their ability to develop business strategies, and independently record financial transactions. The integrative approach involving nursing, management, and accounting has proven effective in improving the quality of life and economic resilience of MSME families. This activity highlights the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in supporting sustainable community empowerment and promoting economic self-reliance at the grassroots level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of MSME management training in enhancing entrepreneurship among micro, small, and medium enterprise actors. The MSME sector plays a crucial role in the national economy but often faces managerial challenges that affect business sustainability and innovation capacity. This research employs a qualitative approach through a case study of MSME groups that have participated in management training programs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that comprehensive management training—covering strategic planning, financial management, digital marketing, and human resource management—significantly improves participants’ managerial knowledge and skills. These improved skills positively correlate with entrepreneurial development, reflected in the ability to identify new market opportunities, take calculated risks, and implement product or service innovations. These findings highlight the importance of structured and continuous training programs as catalysts for MSME development and the creation of resilient new entrepreneurs

Abstract

Community service is an important effort in strengthening the relationship between universities and the community. This article discusses the Community Service Program through the Community Service Lecture Program (KPM) of Gunung Leuser University in Darul Amin Village, Southeast Aceh Regency. The introduction of this article highlights the importance of community service in the context of higher education and society. The objective of this program is to improve the quality of life for the community through various activities that involve active participation from the community itself. The community service method employed is Participation Action Research (PAR), which involves active community participation in the research process and implementation of solutions. Through PAR steps such as joint problem identification, planning, action, and joint reflection, the community and students collaborate to identify the main issues in Darul Amin Village and design solutions that align with the community's needs and aspirations. The results of this program demonstrate significant improvements in community participation, strengthened local capacity, and sustainable problem-solving. The conclusion of this article emphasizes the importance of collaboration between universities and communities in enhancing collective well-being and highlights the success of the PAR approach in achieving community service objectives.

Abstract

This community service initiative focuses on enhancing national defense awareness in Gammawar Village, Southeast Aceh, a border area. The program was motivated by the community's limited understanding of contemporary national defense concepts, which were previously confined to military aspects. The objectives include developing a comprehensive understanding of national defense, building awareness of non-military threats, and establishing village-level defense cadres. Implementation methods involved a three-day participatory workshop combining interactive socialization, focused group discussions, conflict resolution simulations, and action plan mentoring. Evaluation results demonstrated significant improvement in participants' understanding, from 45% to 82% based on pre- and post-test results. Short-term benefits include a shift in community perception towards viewing national defense as a collective responsibility. Long-term sustainability is ensured through the formation of 15 village defense cadres and the preparation of a 2024-2026 National Defense Action Plan. This initiative not only strengthens community resilience but also serves as a replicable model for other villages with similar characteristics.
