Abstract

The digital transformation of higher education has increased reliance on information systems while expanding risks arising from employee behaviour. This study examines the effectiveness of security awareness training in shaping employees' understanding, awareness, compliance, and information security behaviour at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. A qualitative single-case design was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with eight informants, expert judgement, a focus group discussion, observation, and document analysis, and were analysed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that, within the case examined, training was associated with improved risk understanding, stronger awareness that security is a shared responsibility, and more cautious practices when handling email, passwords, links, and documents. Behavioural change, however, remained inconsistent because only 135 of 336 employees had completed the training, while workload, established habits, limited post-training reinforcement, underdeveloped behavioural evaluation, and unclear reporting channels constrained transfer to daily work. The programme should therefore become mandatory and continuous, be integrated with human-resource development and onboarding, use microlearning and phishing simulations, and be evaluated through behavioural indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Hybrid Work Policy, Job Autonomy, and Perceived Organizational Support on Turnover Intention through Employee Engagement as an intervening variable among employees of PT Quinsis Lintas Mitra, an IT Services company in Indonesia whose turnover rate escalated from 14% (2022) to 23% (2025). This study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory, cross-sectional design. The sample comprised the entire population of 150 employees determined through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a 1–5 Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The outer model evaluation showed that all indicators were valid (outer loading > 0.70) and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha and Composite Reliability > 0.90). Hypothesis testing revealed that Job Autonomy and Perceived Organizational Support significantly affect Employee Engagement, whereas Hybrid Work Policy does not. Regarding Turnover Intention, Job Autonomy has a significant positive effect, Perceived Organizational Support has a significant negative effect, while Hybrid Work Policy and Employee Engagement show no significant effect. Employee Engagement was also found unable to mediate the relationship between the three independent variables and Turnover Intention. These findings suggest that employee retention strategies in IT Services firms should focus on strengthening Perceived Organizational Support and managing Job Autonomy alongside transparent career paths and competitive compensation.

Abstract

Domestic violence not only affects women's lives but also requires a process of recovery and rebuilding after experiencing violence. This study aims to understand the experiences of women survivors of domestic violence in developing resilience and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors within the context of assistance services provided by the PPA Working Group in Demak Regency. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using Michael Ungar's Ecological Resilience Theory. The findings show that resilience develops through awareness of gender injustice, the courage to leave abusive relationships, and the development of psychological and economic independence. Family support and assistance services provided by the PPA Working Group serve as important resources in the recovery process, while patriarchal culture and social stigma act as barriers. The findings emphasize that resilience among women survivors of domestic violence is not solely an individual capacity but is shaped through the interaction between individual capacities and available resources within social and institutional environments.

Abstract

This study analyzes the negotiation of gender relations in stay-at-home father families among female workers employed at PT. Taekwang in Subang. The study aims to examine the conditions that drive changes in gender roles, the negotiation process surrounding the division of domestic work and childcare, and the ways in which stay-at-home fathers interpret their roles within a patriarchal culture. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The primary informants consisted of eight individuals, representing four married couples selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and were subsequently analyzed thematically using Marxist-Socialist Feminist Theory and the concept of hegemonic masculinity. The findings indicate that gender-role transformation is influenced by husband employment instability, wives employment opportunities in the industrial sector, work flexibility, and childcare needs. Husbands assume greater responsibility for domestic work and childcare, while wives play a more dominant role in providing for the household economy. However, the negotiation process results in only a partial redistribution of reproductive labor, as wives continue to perform some domestic tasks, while the male-breadwinner norm and social stigma toward stay-at-home fathers persist. These findings demonstrate that the transformation of gender relations occurs through a dynamic negotiation involving economic conditions, social reproductive labor, power relations, and the construction of masculinity.

Abstract

Purwogondo hamlet in Boyolali Regency has long been associated with a negative social stigma involving alcohol consumption, brawls, and gambling among its youth. Merbabu Art Fest (MAF) was established in 2018 as a collective community response to transform this image through arts and culture. This study analyses the social construction of MAF as a space for the social construction of the Purwogondo community, drawing on Peter L Berger and Thomas Luckmann’s theory of social construction of reality. A qualitative case-study approach was employed through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving the festival’s founders, foundation managers, government officials, cultural partners, and neutral residents. The findings show that MAF was formed through three interrelated dialectical moments: the externalization of collective anxiety over the negative stigma, the objectivation of MAF into a culturally and politically recognized institution marked by an interfaith prayer tradition, and the internalization of awareness and collective pride as ‘wong ndeso’ (villagers) among both youth and older residents. Nevertheless, this internalization remains uneven among audiences outside the core organizing structure, as reflected in persistent problems of alcohol consumption and post-event waste. These findings affirm that the success of cultural transformation through community festivals strongly depends on an actor’s structural proximity to the institution’s center of meaning production.

Abstract

This study analyzes the politics of village fund priority setting by examining how village governments adapt when priorities established in the Village Government Work Plan (RKP Desa) encounter budget constraints, regulations governing the use of Village Funds, external policy agendas, and actor preferences in the preparation of the Village Budget (APB Desa). The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design in Mardiharjo Village, Purwodadi District, Musi Rawas Regency. Data were collected through an analysis of RKP Desa and APB Desa documents and interviews with informants involved in planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes. The analysis applies the Institutional Analysis and Development (IAD) framework to identify action arenas, actor positions, rules, resources, and choices that shape priority-setting decisions. The findings show that priorities established through village-level deliberations, including hamlet meetings, village meetings, and village development planning forums, do not automatically become budgetary decisions. During the preparation of the APB Desa, priorities undergo filtering and adjustment due to budget ceilings, regulations governing Village Fund utilization, external policy agendas, actor considerations, and administrative and technical requirements. The study proposes priority reconstruction as an analytical concept for explaining institutional adaptation as priorities move from the planning arena to the budgeting arena.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of organizational culture, work discipline, and intellectual capital on public service through work engagement among government employees in Pancoran Mas District, Depok City. A quantitative explanatory approach with a causal design was applied using a census of 110 employees from the district office and six subdistrict offices. Data were collected through observation and a five-point Likert questionnaire and analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4. Organizational culture, work discipline, and intellectual capital had positive and significant effects on work engagement (beta = 0.376, 0.365, and 0.271) and public service (beta = 0.258, 0.266, and 0.295). Work engagement positively affected public service (beta = 0.339). The respective indirect effects through work engagement were 0.127, 0.124, and 0.092, and all were significant. The model explained 47.3% of work engagement and 67.5% of public service. Thus, work engagement served as a complementary partial mediator between the three organizational resources and public service.
