Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence has brought significant changes to digital humanities practices, particularly in creative work that involves the production and interpretation of cultural knowledge. This study aims to analyze the transformation of social relations resulting from the integration of artificial intelligence into creative work practices in digital humanities. The main focus is on changes in interaction patterns, collaboration structures, role distribution, the formation of professional identities, and ethical dynamics that emerge in relations between humans and AI systems. The study adopts an interpretative qualitative approach with a multiple case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, limited participant observation, and analysis of digital artifacts produced in AI-based creative practices. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns of social relations and meanings constructed by creative workers. The findings show that artificial intelligence is no longer positioned solely as a technical tool, but as a relational entity that plays an active role in the creative process. The presence of AI shifts interaction patterns toward hybrid human–machine relations, reconfigures work collaboration, and influences the legitimacy and identity of creative workers. This transformation is ambivalent. It opens opportunities for creative exploration while also generating tensions related to authority, the value of creativity, and inequalities in access to technology. This study emphasizes the importance of a critical digital humanities approach that is oriented toward human values in responding to the integration of artificial intelligence. The findings are expected to provide empirical and conceptual contributions to the development of digital humanities studies in the era of artificial intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of social capital on the success of community empowerment programs in Mantar Village, West Sumbawa Regency. Social capital is understood as a social resource consisting of trust, social networks, and social norms embedded in the community. The study applies a quantitative approach using an explanatory survey design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to community members directly involved in empowerment programs. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The findings indicate that the level of social capital in Mantar Village is relatively high. Trust and social networks are the most influential dimensions in encouraging community participation. Regression analysis results show that social capital has a positive and significant effect on the success of community empowerment programs. Program success is mainly reflected in high levels of community participation and program sustainability, although economic impacts are not yet evenly distributed. The study concludes that strengthening social capital is a key factor in enhancing the effectiveness of community empowerment programs. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating social dimensions into the planning and implementation of sustainable village development policies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of village head leadership style on the performance of village officials in Sumbawa Regency. The performance of village officials plays a crucial role in ensuring effective village governance and quality public services. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected using structured questionnaires with a Likert scale and analyzed through simple linear regression. The research population consisted of all village officials in the selected villages, and a census sampling technique was applied. The results indicate that the leadership style of the village head has a positive and significant effect on the performance of village officials. Leadership characterized by clear direction, effective communication, and supportive supervision contributes to improved work quality, responsibility, and teamwork among village officials. These findings highlight the strategic role of village head leadership in enhancing the performance of village administration. Strengthening leadership capacity at the village level is therefore essential to improve governance effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Village Information System on the accuracy of population data in Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency. Accurate population data are essential for development planning and public service delivery at the village level. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to village officials directly involved in population data management. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that the effectiveness of the Village Information System has a positive and significant effect on population data accuracy. A system that is easy to use, reliable, and efficient in data processing reduces input errors and improves data consistency and timeliness. These findings confirm the importance of village-level digital systems in enhancing the quality of population data. Nevertheless, maximizing system benefits requires adequate human resource capacity and effective village administrative governance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of village budget transparency on the level of public trust in Labuhan Haji Village, East Lombok Regency. Budget transparency is considered a key instrument in strengthening village governance and enhancing public legitimacy. The study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to randomly selected village residents. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression after meeting classical assumption tests. The results indicate that village budget transparency has a positive and significant effect on public trust. Greater openness in budget planning, implementation, and reporting is associated with higher levels of trust in the village government. These findings confirm that budget transparency plays a crucial role in reducing information asymmetry and strengthening the relationship between the village government and the community. The study recommends reinforcing transparent budget practices accompanied by public participation mechanisms to sustain public trust.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of digital-based MSME empowerment programs on business income in Banyumas Regency. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through a survey of MSME actors who participated in digital empowerment programs, including digital literacy training, social media utilization, e-commerce adoption, and digital payment systems. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The findings indicate that digital-based MSME empowerment programs have a positive and significant effect on business income. Income growth is driven by expanded market access, improved transaction efficiency, and more effective digital marketing strategies. However, the impact of the program varies among MSME actors, depending on digital literacy levels, business sectors, and the intensity of technology utilization. This study concludes that digital empowerment programs are an effective strategy for increasing MSME income and strengthening local economic development. The results provide practical implications for local governments and stakeholders to design sustainable and needs-based digital empowerment policies for MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between religious values and social tolerance in a multicultural society in Manado City. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to adult community members from diverse religious backgrounds. Religious values were measured through belief, religious practice, and attitudinal orientation, while social tolerance was assessed based on acceptance of religious differences, willingness to engage in interreligious interactions, and rejection of social discrimination. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The findings indicate that religious values have a positive and significant effect on social tolerance. Inclusive religious orientations are shown to strengthen tolerant attitudes and acceptance of religious diversity. In contrast, exclusive religious orientations tend to limit interreligious social interactions. The results also demonstrate that social tolerance is shaped not only by the level of religiosity but also by social interaction experiences and local cultural contexts. This study concludes that religious values play a strategic role in fostering social tolerance when internalized in an inclusive and dialogical manner. The findings contribute to the sociology of religion literature and provide practical implications for developing policies and educational initiatives that promote religious-based tolerance in multicultural societies.

Abstract

The transformation of social values in technology-based digital societies is a multidimensional phenomenon that reshapes ways of thinking, patterns of interaction, and the construction of social meaning. Digital technologies not only enhance efficiency and accelerate communication, but also reconfigure moral orientations, social relations, and cultural structures. This study aims to analyze the transformation of social values through a humanities-based approach that positions humans as the central subjects within technological change. The research adopts a qualitative method using a socio-philosophical and critical humanities perspective. Data are collected through a systematic literature review of scholarly works addressing digital humanism, value transformation, and the relationship between technology and society. The analysis applies thematic and interpretative techniques to identify patterns of social value change and examine their implications for contemporary social life. The findings indicate that digital technology functions as a new cultural space that promotes values such as instrumental rationality, efficiency, and individualization, while simultaneously challenging solidarity, empathy, and social responsibility. A humanities approach provides a critical and ethical framework to interpret these shifts beyond purely technical explanations. Digital humanism emerges as a key normative concept that offers guidance to ensure that social value transformation remains aligned with human dignity and moral responsibility. This study affirms that integrating the humanities into the analysis of digital society is essential for ensuring that technological development supports sustainable, equitable, and human-centered social values.

Abstract

This study examines the construction of social reality through digital media algorithms from the perspective of modern Indonesian social sciences. The primary focus lies on algorithms as non-neutral mechanisms that actively shape information flows, interaction patterns, and the production of social meaning in the digital public sphere. Algorithms operate through processes of selection, personalization, and content prioritization, which directly influence how individuals perceive social reality, form opinions, and construct identities and social affiliations. The study is grounded in social construction of reality theory, contextualized within the development of digital media and algorithmic logic. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a critical analytical design to examine algorithmic practices in Indonesian digital media. Data were collected through document analysis, digital media discourse analysis, and a systematic review of relevant empirical studies. The analysis employed a thematic strategy to identify relational patterns between algorithms, discursive production, and user responses. The findings demonstrate that digital media algorithms function as structural actors that reinforce filter bubbles, echo chambers, and the commodification of social discourse. In the Indonesian context, algorithmic constructions of social reality intersect with cultural, religious, and political dynamics, producing curated forms of reality that carry a high potential for social polarization. This study underscores the urgency of algorithmic literacy, platform transparency, and public policy interventions to safeguard the quality of the digital public sphere. Academically, the research contributes to the advancement of interdisciplinary approaches within social sciences and humanities in the digital era.

Abstract

Work digitalization has reshaped organizational structures, interaction patterns, and decision-making mechanisms in the workplace, while simultaneously reconfiguring gender relations in complex ways. This study aims to analyze changes in gender relations within digital workspaces through a synthesis of contemporary social science perspectives, integrating feminist technology theory, sociology of work, and organizational studies. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a critical conceptual analysis design based on a systematic literature review of relevant international scholarly works. Data were analyzed through thematic coding and conceptual synthesis to identify patterns of reproduction, negotiation, and transformation of gender relations in contemporary digital work practices. The findings indicate that digital workspaces are not gender-neutral. Digitalization tends to reproduce gender inequalities through new mechanisms such as algorithmic management, technology-based performance evaluation, and uneven demands for flexibility. Digital work flexibility expands opportunities for participation, yet simultaneously intensifies work and reinforces double burdens, particularly for women. Gender discrimination does not disappear in digital contexts but rather transforms into more subtle and technologically legitimized forms. At the same time, digitalization opens spaces for negotiating gender identities and redefining work competencies, although outcomes remain highly dependent on organizational contexts and workplace cultures. This study demonstrates that changes in gender relations in digital workspaces constitute a dynamic social process mediated by organizational structures, policies, and technological practices. The findings contribute to the development of a critical analytical framework for understanding the social implications of work digitalization and highlight the importance of gender-sensitive approaches in digital transformation processes.
