This study aims to analyze the leading sectors in the economy in the Konawe Selatan Regency and Kendari City. This type of research is quantitative research using the Location Quotient Analysis method. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics, in the form of GRDP data by Business Field based on Constant Prices for 2017-2021. The results showed that the leading sector in the Konawe Selatan Regency is the Mining and Quarrying sector with an average value of LQ=10.42. Whereas in the Kendari City area is the Corporate Services sector with an average value of LQ=3.92.

Abstract

Environmental protection begins with generating environmental awareness among the people. The source of all environmental problems is human activity to meet their needs without regard to the carrying capacity of the environment. This study aims to determine the environmental awareness of the Geography education students class of 2020 in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Halu Oleo University. The research method used is descriptive quantitative through questionnaires to 30 students. The results showed that the majority of students majoring in Geography education class of 2020 had high environmental awareness in the Teaching and Education Faculty. Analysis of the three aspects of student awareness of the environment (knowledge, attitudes, and behavior) is in the high category with their respective percentages of 36.67%, 33.33%, and 36.67%.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces formidable challenges. The demand to develop human resources through education absolutely must be carried out with the hope of creating superior human beings, one of which is by understanding student learning styles. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of learning outcomes in Geography based on the learning styles of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Wangi-Wangi, Wakatobi Regency. This type of research applied is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study was 93 respondents taken from class XI IPS. The results showed that there were 46 students with a visual learning style and 47 students with an auditory learning style. The description of student learning outcomes shows that the visual learning style has a higher average value (dominant) than students with an auditory learning style.

Abstract

Several locations along the Bulango River are utilized by the community for sand mining. The decline in river water quality is one of the impacts of sand mining on the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of sand mining on the physical quality of water in the Bulango River, North Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency. Analysis of physical parameters carried out in the field, namely temperature, light intensity, and total suspended solids which was carried out in the laboratory. The results showed that the total suspended solids (TSS) at location II and location III at sunny weather were higher than at location I. Light intensity at location II and location III was lower than at location I. TSS parameters during rainy weather at location I, location II, and location III exceed the quality standards for classes 1 to 4. When the weather is sunny, the TSS values for locations II and location III exceed the quality standards for classes 1 and 2.

Abstract

Oil palm plants have an important meaning in the development of national plantations in Indonesia. The aims of this research are: 1) to describe the social condition of employees of PT. Tani Prima Makmur; and 2) describe the economic condition of employees of PT. Tani Prima Makmur. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Determination of respondents in the study using simple random sampling technique with a total of 32 respondents. The results showed that: 1) the social condition of employees has a relatively good level of education with the last level of education being at the high school level, the health condition of employees is also quite good, social interaction among employees is going well; and the housing conditions for the employees are very good where most of the employees already have their own houses, the walls of the buildings are permanent, have SEC lighting, and use PDAM clean water sources; 2) the economic condition is quite good with employee income ranging from Rp. 2,552,014 - Rp. 4000,000 with an average income of Rp. 3,457,005/month and employee expenses are relatively high with an average expenditure of Rp.2,078,125/month.

Abstract

There are 3 springs used by the people in Kuta Village, namely Setu River, Sirah River, and Depok River. This study aims to examine typical water quality based on physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters in Kuta Village, Belik District, Pemalang Regency. The method used in this research is the survey method. Observed water quality data includes physical properties, chemical properties, and biological properties. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection was carried out by observing ex-situ for parameters tested in the laboratory and in situ for parameters that could be observed in the field. Data analysis by matching laboratory test results with PERMENKES RI No. 32 of 2017 concerning drinking water quality requirements. The results showed the physical properties parameters: temperature, odor, color, total dissolved solids, turbidity, and taste. Chemical properties: pH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, and Manganese acidity levels are proven to be feasible. As for the biological characteristics: the presence of E-colli bacteria and Coliform bacteria throughout the Kuta Village Springs is no longer feasible. In general, water from the Kali Setu, Kali Sirah, and Kali Depok springs is included in class B water.

Abstract

The polygenetic causal paradigm is the root cause of changes in coastal areas. The influence of human activities on mangrove ecosystems, especially land conversion, has an impact on changes in the area of mangrove forests and also affects the downstream of rivers. This study aims to 1) find the root causes of problems in coastal areas through the paradigm of polygenetic causality; and 2) utilization of coastal ecosystems through a dynamic equilibrium paradigm. This study uses a survey method to identify the main constituent materials of coastal areas, coastal relief, power, and energy processes that work in coastal areas and small islands in Kab. West Moon. Anthropodynamic and hydrodynamic factors have a major influence on the condition of the coastal areas and small islands of Kab. West Moon. Anthropodynamic factors can cause damage to mangrove ecosystems and coral reef ecosystems. Four principles related to effective coastal area management, namely: 1) an adaptive decision-making process; 2) introduction to the nature and special values regarding coastal areas; 3) a comprehensive strategy for integrating sectoral activities; and 4) emphasis on sustainable development. The dynamic equilibrium paradigm in the coastal areas and small islands of Kab. West Muna can be achieved if the utilization of coastal areas and small islands does not exceed their carrying capacity.
