Abstract

Cikurutug Village shows quite a large potential, especially for domestic companies that have not been fully optimized in their management practices. This situation arises from the relatively limited education of the community, because most of the residents in Cikurutug Village work as laborers, farmers, and some people operate home-based businesses, including bamboo crafts, snack production, and brown sugar farmers. In their efforts to increase productivity, the residents of Cikurutug Village currently lack knowledge related to digital-based sales. Therefore, the purpose of this community service initiative is to provide counseling on digital marketing for MSMEs in Cikurutug Village. The methods used in this training activity are lecture and discussion methods. The lecture method is used to explain topics related to simple financial management and digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, discussions are held to enrich the discourse on the material presented, including individual questions and representative questions from the participants. The results of the counseling initiative showed a very high level of enthusiasm from the participants, who were involved in home-based entrepreneurship in Cikurutug Village. This enthusiasm was proven by the many questions asked by participants regarding the procedure for creating an account on the market place platform, where the facilitator tried to respond and provide a comprehensive explanation of the topic raised.

Abstract

Tempe is a fermented soybean product commonly consumed by Indonesian people. The existence of the tempe industry is quite easy to find, especially in Gunungbatu Village, Cilograng District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. In addition to contributing to the community's economy, this industry also raises a number of problems. The tempe production process produces liquid waste that has the potential to pollute the environment if not handled properly. One solution to reduce the negative impact of this waste is to process it into liquid organic fertilizer. This program aims to enable the community to utilize liquid tempe waste as a basic ingredient for liquid organic fertilizer, so that waste is not wasted and can provide benefits. Before the program was implemented, observations were made on the number of tempe industries that would be used as samples. Waste sampling was carried out from five different tempe production locations. In implementing the program, a socialization method was used through counseling and direct practice. The fertilizer making process is carried out by utilizing tempe waste and EM4 as an activating material. This program consists of two main parts: socialization containing information about environmental issues, waste, and the benefits of liquid organic fertilizer; and fertilizer making practices that are carried out directly and followed by industry players. The entire series of activities went well and are expected to be a sustainable step in utilizing tempe waste to reduce environmental pollution.

Abstract

One of the factors causing low competitiveness of MSMEs is the limitations of business actors in marketing aspects and minimal knowledge about financial literacy. To overcome this, this community service activity aims to introduce MSME products to a wider market, increase competitiveness through the use of digital marketing strategies, and provide education on effective financial management. The approach used in this activity includes socialization, training, and direct assistance to MSME actors in the Cipanengah Village area, Lembursitu District, Sukabumi City. For approximately one month, various activities were carried out in a structured manner. The results of the activities showed that MSME actors began to understand the basic concepts of digital marketing and were able to utilize the internet as a marketing tool. This skill improvement is expected to expand the market reach of partners and strengthen their competitiveness as micro, small, and medium business actors

Abstract

In an effort to support the development of the community economy, especially for MSMEs, assistance is needed through the role of a facilitator. This is important because there are still many business actors who do not understand how to plan and manage strategies in economic development. A team of lecturers from the Faculty of Social and Economics carried out community service activities in the form of socialization of simple bookkeeping to MSMEs in Sindangsari Village, Lembursitu District, Sukabumi City. This activity aims to increase the understanding of MSMEs in compiling simple bookkeeping and developing marketing strategies in accordance with the work plan and targets to be achieved. Socialization is carried out through the delivery of clear material and continued with an interactive session in the form of questions and answers between participants and speakers. It is hoped that this activity can provide real benefits for MSMEs, both those who have run their businesses and those who are just starting out. In addition, through this socialization, it is hoped that business actors in Sindangsari Village will gain additional insight in facing various business challenges, especially related to bookkeeping management and product marketing strategies.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the understanding of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cireunghas Village, Cireunghas District, Sukabumi Regency regarding the importance of business legality through ownership of a Business Identification Number (NIB) and the use of digital marketing strategies. This activity was carried out through a socialization session that discussed NIB and digital marketing. In this activity, participants received information about the importance of business legality and the benefits of having a NIB, such as ease in the licensing process and processing of legal documents through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. Furthermore, the activity focused on providing education about digital marketing to help MSMEs expand their market reach through social media. Based on the evaluation results, the majority of business actors showed interest in registering a NIB and began to understand the essence of digital marketing. The mentoring process in registering a NIB went smoothly, with participants successfully obtaining NIB documents efficiently. It is hoped that this program can contribute to increasing the capacity and competitiveness of MSMEs in the region.

Abstract

The UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) training on Home-Based Food Industry in Cipeundeuy Village is a capacity-building program aimed at minimizing various challenges faced by small business actors in pursuing entrepreneurship. The training focused on enhancing participants' knowledge and skills in business management, food product innovation, packaging techniques, and digital marketing. The methods applied combined theoretical sessions and hands-on practice. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants' understanding of basic entrepreneurial concepts and their ability to produce and market food products more professionally. The program also encouraged the formation of business groups and follow-up plans for continuous mentoring. Therefore, this training has proven to be an effective strategy in strengthening the rural food MSME sector

Abstract

This literacy training aims to improve basic literacy skills of early childhood in Cipeundeuy Village. This activity is based on the low reading and writing skills of preschool children, especially those who are not reached by formal PAUD or kindergarten services. The methods used include a play-and-learn approach, the use of visual media, and direct assistance by the facilitator. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in positive impact on improving children's basic literacy skills, especially in terms of letter recognition, syllable pronunciation, and the ability to write one's own name. An interactive, fun, and developmentally appropriate approach to play while learning has been shown to be effective in increasing their motivation and active involvement in the learning process. Parental involvement in helping children learn at home also strengthens training outcomes, while creating a consistent learning environment between home and community. In addition, the involvement of KKN students in designing and facilitating programs shows a great contribution in forming an inclusive and participatory education ecosystem at the village level. It is hoped that this activity will be the first step to strengthen the foundation of early childhood literacy in rural areas

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires the enhancement of human resource competencies, particularly in the field of digital marketing. Vocational high school (SMK) students, as prospective workers and young entrepreneurs, need to be equipped with digital marketing skills that are relevant to the demands of the business and industrial sectors. However, students’ understanding and skills in utilizing marketplaces as a medium for developing online businesses remain limited. This community service activity aims to strengthen digital marketing competencies through the utilization of marketplaces among students of SMK Penguji, Sukabumi City. The implementation method consisted of preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation stages using a participatory and practical approach. The results showed an improvement in students’ knowledge and skills in managing marketplace accounts, creating promotional content, and applying basic digital marketing strategies. In addition, the activity increased students’ motivation, self-confidence, and entrepreneurial spirit. Therefore, this program is considered effective in enhancing vocational students’ readiness to enter the workforce and develop independent online businesses.

Abstract

Empowering the younger generation through entrepreneurship education is a strategic effort to foster independence and enhance the competitiveness of human resources. However, entrepreneurial interest among senior high school students remains relatively low due to limited understanding of business concepts and a lack of practical experience. This community service activity aimed to empower students of SMA Plus Al-Manshuriyah through Business Model Canvas (BMC) training as an effort to stimulate entrepreneurial interest. The activity was conducted in one day, on August 25, 2025, using participatory and applicative methods, which included stages of preparation, training, practice and mentoring, and evaluation. The results indicated an improvement in students’ understanding of entrepreneurship concepts and the nine elements of the Business Model Canvas. In addition, students demonstrated increased creativity, active participation, self-confidence, and interest in designing and developing business ideas independently. Therefore, Business Model Canvas training proved to be effective as a means of strengthening entrepreneurship education and empowering senior high school students.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology and the dynamics of the VUCA era (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) require young generations, particularly vocational high school students, to possess adequate digital literacy and entrepreneurial readiness. This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital literacy of vocational high school students in preparing an adaptive and competitive entrepreneurial generation in the VUCA era. The program was conducted through a one-day face-to-face activity on October 23, 2025, at SMK Penguji Sukabumi using a participatory learning approach. The methods employed included interactive lectures, discussions, case studies, and simple simulations on the use of digital platforms for entrepreneurial activities. The results indicated an improvement in students’ understanding of digital literacy concepts, digital ethics and security, as well as the productive use of digital technology. In addition, the program enhanced students’ awareness and interest in entrepreneurship by enabling them to identify digital-based business opportunities relevant to their vocational competencies. This community service activity is expected to serve as a sustainable model for strengthening digital literacy and entrepreneurship in vocational schools.
