Abstract

The role of parents in supporting the education of children with special needs is crucial. Parents serve as primary companions, advocates, sources of information, teachers, and diagnosticians throughout the child's educational journey. Children with special needs differ from typically developing children and require specialized care tailored to their specific developmental disorders and unique characteristics. These children are classified based on differences or impairments in motor, cognitive, speech, visual, auditory, social, and emotional domains. Parents must possess the acceptance and capability to support their child's life journey to ensure optimal outcomes. This study aims to understand how parents can assist children with special needs in accessing education that aligns with their specific requirements. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing a literature review method.
