Qudwah: Journal of Islamic Education is a scientific journal that focuses on the development and dissemination of studies related to Islamic education. This journal covers three main areas: learning based on Islamic values, innovation in Islamic education management, and leadership in the context of Islamic education. Qudwah exists as a medium to publish research results and critical ideas that support improving the quality of Islamic education in a holistic and sustainable manner. This journal is published twice a year, March and September in online version.

Abstract

Keberhasilan program pendidikan melalui proses belajar mengajar dalam manajemen sangat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti man, money, material, machine, method, market, minute, serta pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (ICT). Salah satu faktor penting adalah tersedianya sarana dan prasarana pendidikan yang memadai serta dikelola secara optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Manbaul Ulum, Kabupaten Bondowoso, dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pengadaan, dan pemeliharaan sarana serta prasarana pendidikan di sekolah tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan J. Saldana. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan dilakukan melalui rapat koordinasi guru, analisis kebutuhan, sosialisasi kepada wali murid, dan pelaporan kepada komite. Pengadaan sarana prasarana bersumber dari dana BOS, komite, swadaya masyarakat, serta bantuan instansi, dan mengacu pada RKAM. Pengadaan dilakukan melalui pembelian, waqaf, dan hibah dengan konsultasi pakar. Pemeliharaan menjadi tanggung jawab bersama, di mana setiap ruangan dikoordinir oleh penanggung jawab ruang atau wali kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi model kepemimpinan transformasional kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan Islam melalui penerapan manajemen berbasis madrasah. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan systematic literature review, studi ini mengidentifikasi berbagai strategi kepemimpinan transformasional yang efektif di lingkungan madrasah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa model kepemimpinan ini mampu menciptakan budaya pendidikan berkualitas melalui inovasi, kolaborasi, dan pengelolaan sumber daya secara optimal. Studi kasus dari berbagai madrasah di Indonesia menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berkontribusi pada peningkatan kinerja guru, pengembangan kurikulum, serta penguatan hubungan dengan komunitas madrasah/sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sinergi antara kepemimpinan transformasional dan manajemen berbasis madrasah dapat menjadi kunci dalam menciptakan madrasah unggul yang berdaya saing global.

Abstract

Dekret Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Agama Islam tentang Kurikulum 2013 dan Kurikulum Independen merupakan tonggak penting dalam perkembangan sistem pendidikan agama Islam di Indonesia. Kurikulum 2013 menekankan penguatan sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan melalui pendekatan ilmiah dan pembelajaran tematik integratif. Sementara itu, Kurikulum Independen merupakan penyempurnaan kurikulum sebelumnya, memberikan fleksibilitas kepada unit pendidikan dan guru untuk mengembangkan potensi siswa sesuai dengan karakteristik, kebutuhan, dan konteks lingkungan belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis isi dan implikasi dekret Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Agama Islam terhadap kedua kurikulum tersebut untuk implementasi pendidikan agama Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan meninjau berbagai dokumen resmi, peraturan, dan literatur pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Independen memberikan ruang yang lebih besar untuk inovasi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), memperkuat nilai moderasi beragama, dan beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi terkini. Perbandingan dengan Kurikulum 2013 menunjukkan pergeseran paradigma dari pembelajaran berbasis standar ke pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dan karakter. Dengan demikian, keputusan Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam merupakan langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan relevansi pendidikan Islam di era modern.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia faces significant challenges in the 21st century, primarily due to globalization, digitalization, and increasingly complex socio-cultural dynamics. These conditions require PAI learning to be oriented not only toward mastering religious knowledge but also toward strengthening digital literacy and internalizing local wisdom to shape inclusive and tolerant student character. This study aims to identify models for integrating local wisdom and digital literacy into PAI materials and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors for their implementation in contemporary learning contexts. This research employed a qualitative approach through literature review, analysis of PAI curriculum documents, and semi-structured interviews. Interviews were conducted with eight informants: five junior high and senior high school PAI teachers and three Islamic education practitioners from three regions with diverse cultural backgrounds. Data were analyzed using data reduction, categorization, and thematic conclusion drawing. The results revealed three key findings. First, the integration of local wisdom into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is most effective when values ​​such as tolerance, mutual cooperation, and respect for diversity are directly contextualized within the material on faith, morals, and Islamic jurisprudence through digital-based local case studies. Second, the use of interactive digital media—such as narrative videos based on local culture, online learning platforms, and educational apps—significantly increases student engagement and strengthens the understanding of moderate Islamic values. Third, the success of integration is strongly influenced by teachers' digital literacy competencies and the policy support of educational institutions.However, this study also identified major obstacles in the form of limited teacher digital competencies, disparities in technological infrastructure, and resistance on the part of some educators to changes in traditional learning paradigms. The study's conclusions emphasize the need to develop contextual Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning models based on local wisdom and digital literacy, accompanied by teacher training policies and the provision of sustainable digital resources to ensure PAI remains relevant and responsive to the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

Educational administration can be understood as a series of planned and ongoing activities in managing various educational resources in an integrated manner to achieve effective, efficient, and quality learning objectives. This study aims to comprehensively review the basic concepts, functions, and main elements of educational administration, while also mapping the various challenges that arise in the dynamics of contemporary education. The method used in this research is a literature study by analyzing a number of relevant scientific literature, both in the form of books and journal articles that discuss the theory and practice of educational administration. The results of the study indicate that educational administration has a strategic position in improving the quality and effectiveness of education delivery. This is reflected in the systematic implementation of managerial functions that include planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring. The main components of educational administration include the management of students, teaching and educational staff, curriculum, facilities and infrastructure, financing, and strengthening the relationship between schools and the community. In facing the era of globalization and the acceleration of digital transformation, educational administration is faced with various challenges, including demands for quality improvement, the dynamics of educational policies, limited resources, and increasingly rapid technological developments. Therefore, the implementation of innovative, adaptive, and information technology-based educational management is an important strategy to create educational institutions that are transparent, responsive to change, and have sustainable competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how Islamic values ​​are integrated into STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning in early childhood education through a systematic literature review approach to scientific publications from 2018–2026. The review process was conducted by searching for articles indexed in the Scopus, Web of Science, and SINTA databases using the PRISMA framework to ensure transparent and systematic literature selection. The analysis results indicate that the integration of STEAM with an Islamic perspective plays a positive role in improving critical thinking skills, creativity, and strengthening the spiritual dimension of early childhood learners. The implementation of Islamic values ​​is reflected in three main domains: strengthening aspects of faith through scientific exploration that connects natural phenomena with the greatness of God, building morals through project-based collaborative activities, and developing spirituality through meaningful scientific reflection. These findings indicate that the STEAM approach integrated with Islamic values ​​has great potential as a holistic, contextual learning model oriented towards the formation of both scientific and religious character. Therefore, this study recommends the development of an adaptive curriculum, improving educator competency, and compiling STEAM-Islam-based teaching materials to support optimal implementation in early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to identify Islamic educational values ​​and analyze their implementation in early childhood at the TK IT Al Gholib Al Ikhlas Balung Jember. This study is a field study using a qualitative approach involving early childhood as research subjects. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using a flowchart analysis model. The results indicate that the Islamic educational values ​​developed include aspects of faith, worship practices, and moral formation. These values ​​are implemented through learning materials covering the Quran, Hadith, creed, worship, morals, Prophetic teachings, and the introduction of Arabic and English vocabulary. To enhance the effectiveness of the learning process, educators implement a variety of Islamic education-based learning methods, utilize learning media as supporting tools, and involve parents through parenting programs as part of strengthening children's character education.

Abstract

Decision-making in Islamic education management holds a strategic position because it is the primary indicator of the success of educational institution management. This process serves as a mechanism for resolving various organizational issues in order to achieve predetermined goals. In the context of Islamic educational institutions, a crucial initial step is analyzing the problems by classifying them into simple, complex, structured, and unstructured categories to determine the most appropriate type of decision. The principle of deliberation and consensus is a typical approach used in certain situations, involving various parties, such as educational staff, students, parents, and the community. Furthermore, the leader's leadership style and personal character also influence the quality of decisions made. The principal is expected to be able to formulate decisions that align with the institution's vision and mission through the development of systematic, sustainable, and well-planned programs for both the short and long term.
