Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style, work environment and motivation on employee performance at PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) Surabaya Branch. The data were collected through observation and questionnaires, and analyzed by using linear regression, t test and f test. The results show that: (1) There is a positive and significant influence of leadership style on employee performance, as indicated by the t-value (2.301) > t-table (2.0086), meaning that leadership style contributes to improving employee performance. (2) The work environment also has a significant effect on employee performance, with a t-value (2.397) > t-table (2.0086). (3) Motivation significantly affects employee performance, shown by a t-value (2.128) > t-table (2.0086). (4) Simultaneously, leadership style, work environment, and motivation have a significant impact on employee performance, as shown by the F-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an F-value (17.624) > F-table (2.79). These findings indicate that all three independent variables together have a significant influence on employee performance at PT. Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) Surabaya Branch.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in cassava chips production have significant market potential, as these products are widely favored across different segments of society. However, in practice, many MSMEs still encounter challenges in recording raw materials, managing inventory, and planning production, which are commonly carried out manually. Such conditions often lead to inaccurate inventory data, shortages or surpluses of raw materials, and consequently, production disruptions and material waste. These issues highlight the urgent need for a more structured and integrated system to support production management.This study aims to develop a web-based production information system designed to optimize raw material planning through the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. MRP was chosen as it enables optimal calculation of raw material needs based on production schedules, demand data, and procurement lead times. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases. PHP was employed as the programming language, while MySQL was used as the database management system.The resulting system is capable of providing real-time inventory recording, generating accurate estimations of raw material requirements, and producing comprehensive reports on production and inventory that serve as a valuable basis for managerial decision-making. The implementation of this system is expected to help cassava chips MSMEs improve production efficiency, minimize material waste, and reduce the risk of production delays. Overall, this research contributes a practical and applicable technological solution to support MSMEs in overcoming production management challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

This study was conducted at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Binjai to analyze the effects of workload, social support, and work experience on employee job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is a vital aspect of human resource management since satisfied employees tend to perform optimally, remain loyal, and contribute positively to organizational goals. The research involved 78 employees who served as both the population and the sample, selected through a saturated sampling method. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires and observation, while secondary data were sourced from literature studies. Data analysis applied validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing using t-tests and F-tests. The findings indicate that workload, social support, and work experience positively and significantly affect job satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.894 shows that the three independent variables explain 89.4% of job satisfaction, while the remaining 10.6% is influenced by factors beyond this study, such as compensation, training, and career development. Among the variables, workload has the strongest influence with a coefficient of 0.942, followed by work experience at 0.771, and social support at 0.198. This highlights that a balanced workload aligned with employee capacity, adequate social support from supervisors and peers, and practical experience gained through training and practice are key determinants of job satisfaction. The study recommends that the company focus on fair workload distribution, stronger workplace interaction, and continuous training to improve employee experience. Leadership should also encourage skill development through case studies and structured programs, enabling employees to face challenges more effectively and contribute to the company’s sustainable performance and growth.

Abstract

Studies on purchase intentions for halal products have focused more on the food and cosmetics sectors, while halal products in non-food sectors such as dishwashing soap have rarely been studied, even though the existence of these products is also important for Muslim consumers. This indicates a research gap that needs to be filled, especially considering the importance of hygiene in Islamic teachings and the increasing public awareness of the halalness of household products. Bukittinggi City was chosen as the study location because it is dominated by Muslim consumers who have a high concern for halal certification. The aim of this study is to assess the extent to which consumer attitudes and perceived usefulness can influence purchase intentions for halal-labeled dishwashing soap in Bukittinggi City. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach and a survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 124 respondents. The PLS (Partial Least Square) technique in the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) approach was applied to analyze the data, with the help of SmartPLS.3.0 software. The findings in this study show that consumer attitudes and perceived usefulness significantly influence purchase intentions. The conclusion of this research is that the more positive consumers' attitudes and the greater usefulness they perceive from non-food halal products, the greater their purchase intention. The implication of this finding is the importance of businesses adopting Sharia values and providing halal education in their marketing strategies for household products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of individual characteristics, organizational commitment, and occupational health and safety on employee performance at UD Monggo Jaya, Kediri Regency. A quantitative method is used in this research, with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The research employs a non-probability sampling technique, utilizing a saturated sample method with a population of 52 employees and a sample size of 52 employees. Based on the results of the study, it shows that partially the individual characteristics variable has a significant effect on employee performance variables, with a Sig. value of 0.033 < 0.05. Partially the organizational commitment variable does not have a significant effect on employee performance variables, with a Sig. value of 0.884> 0.05. Partially the occupational safety and health variable does not have a significant effect on employee performance variables, with a Sig. value of 0.068> 0.05. The individual characteristics, organizational commitment, occupational safety and health variables simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance at UD Monggo Jaya, Kediri Regency with a Sig. value of 0.028 < 0.05. The influence of the level of individual characteristics, organizational commitment, occupational safety and health on employee performance is 17.1%, while the remaining 82.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of immigration administration in Indonesia, amidst the increasing mobility of people across borders due to globalization. This situation positions immigration administration as a strategic instrument for public service and safeguarding national sovereignty. The purpose of this study is to describe immigration administration regulations, analyze the challenges faced in their implementation, and identify prospects for their future development. This study uses qualitative methods with a literature review approach and normative analysis. Research data are sourced from primary legal sources, such as Law Number 6 of 2011, which was amended by Law Number 63 of 2024, as well as secondary legal sources such as journal articles and official reports. The results show that Indonesia has implemented reforms through regulatory updates and the digitalization of services such as e-visas and the Immigration Management Information System SIMKIM. However, challenges remain, including suboptimal inter-agency coordination, limited human resources, and gaps between regulations and practice. Future prospects focus on strengthening transparent governance, developing an integrated digital system, and increasing the capacity of immigration officials to address global dynamics.

Abstract

Quality public services require adequate infrastructure and optimal employee performance. The West Jakarta Immigration Office, as a public service provider, is obligated to address the needs of the community in accordance with its duties and functions. This research will examine the contribution of infrastructure and civil servant performance to public satisfaction with public services at the West Jakarta Immigration Office. Qualitative research using a direct survey was the method of choice. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula, and data were obtained from pre-processed questionnaires. A t-test in multiple linear analysis was performed, along with the coefficient of determination and f-test. The results showed that satisfaction was significantly and positively influenced by infrastructure, as was employee performance. Both variables contributed strongly to public service satisfaction. In conclusion, improving infrastructure quality and optimizing employee performance are important factors in creating satisfaction with complaints at the West Jakarta Immigration Office. This research is expected to contribute to enriching the public sector service literature, particularly regarding infrastructure, human resources, and service quality. Practically, these findings can provide input for the leadership of the West Jakarta Immigration Office in formulating policies that focus on infrastructure investment and employee capacity development. In this way, it is hoped that more efficient, transparent and accountable services can be achieved, in line with public demands for good and responsive governance.

Abstract

Performance-Based Budgeting (PBB) is a financial management approach in the public sector that links budget allocations with measurable performance outcomes and service effectiveness. In the immigration sector, PBB is an important instrument for enhancing spending efficiency, transparency, and the quality of public services. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze practices, strategies, and challenges in implementing PBB within immigration institutions. The review covers articles published between 2013 and 2023 from databases such as SINTA, DOAJ, and Google Scholar, with inclusion criteria focusing on public sector budgeting and its relevance to immigration administration. The findings indicate that the successful implementation of PBB depends on measurable performance indicators, strong managerial commitment, and active participation of organizational actors in budget planning and evaluation. However, several challenges were identified, including bureaucratic resistance, weak performance measurement systems, and limited fiscal capacity at the operational level. To overcome these barriers, the study highlights the need for strengthened leadership commitment, improved accountability frameworks, and the development of integrated digital systems to enable real-time monitoring. By optimizing the Public Work Plan (PBK), immigration services are expected to manage resources more efficiently, respond to global dynamics, and improve services for both citizens and foreigners.

Abstract

Higher education institutions face challenges in managing large volumes of new student data, hindering strategic geographical distribution analysis. This research focuses on designing and building an integrated system utilizing a Data Warehouse and Geographic Information System (GIS) to analyze the distribution patterns of new students at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The system development uses the Waterfall model(I Putu Agus Eka Pratama, 2021), which includes structured stages from secondary data collection from the Academic Information System (SIAKAD), an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process into a Data Warehouse with a star schema architecture (Coronel & Morris, 2022), to spatial data visualization using GIS (Botha et al., 2023). The analysis of 15,826 student records from 2022-2024 reveals a high geographic concentration, with the top five regencies contributing 53.2% of all new students. The resulting web-based system provides an interactive thematic map that identifies regions with high applicant concentrations, offering strategic insights to support data-driven decision- making for university leadership (Corrin et al., 2023). This research demonstrates how the integration of Data Warehouse and GIS technology can optimize educational data governance and provide a solid foundation for strategic new student admission planning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and training on employee performance with motivation as a mediating variable at PT XYZ. In an era of intense competition, competence and training are considered key factors in improving employee performance. This research employs a quantitative method with a survey approach involving 376 employees of PT XYZ, selected using stratified random sampling to ensure proportional representation across divisions. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0 software to test the proposed hypotheses. The results show that competence and training have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with motivation acting as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship. These findings provide important implications for management, particularly in designing effective training and competency development programs to enhance employee performance. Nevertheless, this study is limited by the sample scope and the generalizability of its findings, suggesting the need for future research with broader coverage.
