Jurnal Manajemen Strategis: Jurnal Mantra (JMT) is a periodical scientific journal published by the Universitas Proklamasi 45, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (UP 45) twice a year, in April and October. JMT was first published online in Volume 1 Number 01 April 2024 with e-ISSN 3046-6377. JMT aims to publish scientific works of academics, researchers, and practitioners in the form of research results and conceptual development in the field of management covering strategic aspects of organizations/companies, i.e. marketing, human resources, finance, operation/production, and management information system. JMT publications are dedicated to realizing contributions to scientific development in the field of management and organization in actual and strategic topics of commercial and non-commercial organizations. JMT is open to academics, researchers, and practitioners in areas related to organizational managerial activities to actualize themselves in relevant scientific development. The management of JMT involves an interrelated management team including the editorial board, peer reviewers, and administration staff. The management team involves professionals and is committed to scientific development in management.

Abstract

Management, an important part of human life, will always be needed wherever humans live, including in their work, education, etc. One of the management experts, Henry Fayol, defines management in three terms, i.e.: 1) Management as a process, 2) Management as a collectivity of people who carry out all management activities, and 3) Management as an art and science. Henry Fayol's management theory focuses on how management interacts with its personnel. This research will look at how the Arabic language program is managed at the Firdaus Student Islamic Boarding School Malang based on Henry Fayol's management theory. This research used descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. In implementing its Arabic language program, the Firdaus boarding school has paid proper attention to management functions. Starting from planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and supervising. The success of this program management can be seen from the success of the Arabic language program at the Firdaus boarding school. The success of the Arabic language program at the Firdaus boarding school can be seen from the alumni who have become experts in Arabic and successful Arabic language teachers in their respective places.

Abstract

This research aims to detect the magnitude of the influence of return on assets (ROA), debt to equity ratio (DER), and total assets turnover (TATO) on company share prices in the electronic retail sub-sector industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the year 2020-2021. The population in this study is five companies. The purposive sampling method was used to determine the sample. Multiple linear regression analysis techniques were used as the analysis method in this research. The results of the coefficient of determination analysis show that 36% of the sample variations in ROA, DER, and TATO can explain variations in stock prices. The findings in this research show that the influence of ROA, DER, and TATO simultaneously has a significant positive effect on stock prices. Meanwhile, the ROA and TATO variables have a negative and insignificant impact on share prices. Meanwhile, the DER variable has a positive and significant influence on share prices in the electronic retail sub-sector industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2020-2021.

Abstract

Employee retention is an important thing carried out by parties’ management to maintain the existence of employees so they continue to work within a company. The population in this study were employees of Rajaklana Resort in Yogyakarta. The sample used in this research was 47 people from a population selected using exhaustive sampling or saturated sampling/census techniques. This research was conducted using quantitative research methods. The information collection was carried out through distributing online surveys using the Google Form platform. This survey was addressed to 47 employees who work at Rajaklana Resort, an accommodation located in Yogyakarta. The research results show that the work environment and compensation have a positive and significant influence on employee retention, job satisfaction has no effect on employee retention. This indicates that employee retention is not influenced by job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study elaborates on sustainable business in the context of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs play an important role in strengthening the national economy, so a concept of business sustainability is needed when facing economic, social, and environmental challenges. This study involved three subjects who are MSME activists who are concerned about environmental and social aspects. This study uses a phenomenological study approach with the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observations with categories based on statements from research subjects who are MSME activists in the Serang Regency. The research subjects stated that MSME activists have diverse understandings of sustainable business, which include aspects of resource efficiency, and social and environmental responsibility. Sustainable practices arise more from practical needs, such as cost savings and increasing competitiveness, compared to more strategic environmental or social motivations. This study found that despite facing many challenges, MSME activists already understand the concept of sustainable business can have a positive impact on the development of MSME businesses in an increasingly competitive era.

Abstract

Businesses with increasingly competitive competition require companies to understand the factors that influence agent loyalty. This research uses quantitative methods and random sampling to determine the sample. Respondents were selected from a list of Mowilex paint distribution agents in Yogyakarta, totaling 124 people with a sample of 95 respondents. The results of this research indicate that the independent variable accounts for 66.5% of the variation in the dependent variable. Meanwhile, agent satisfaction and product quality do not have a significant effect on agent loyalty. On the other hand, service quality has a considerable impact on agent loyalty. Overall, agent satisfaction, product quality, and service quality have a significant effect on agent loyalty simultaneously.
