Abstract

In this paper, we address the serious fire risks posed by Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) leaks, which can lead to significant material damage and loss of life. These incidents are often caused by human error or the absence of effective early warning systems capable of timely leak detection. To tackle this issue, we have developed an automatic gas leak detection system integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT). The system utilizes the ESP32 microcontroller as the main control unit, along with an MQ2 gas sensor for detecting LPG leaks and a fire sensor for identifying fire hazards. Additional components include a fan to enhance air circulation in case of gas accumulation and an automatic water pump that activates upon fire detection, aiding in prompt fire extinguishment. The system is also equipped with an LCD to display real-time gas levels in the environment, providing visual feedback to users. For enhanced functionality, this system connects to the Blynk application, allowing remote monitoring and control via smartphone. This feature enables users to receive instant notifications upon detecting gas leaks or fires and to manually control the fan or water pump if necessary. The primary objective of this system is to provide early detection and automatic response to gas leaks and fire hazards, thereby reducing the risk of fire-related accidents. This IoT-based approach offers a reliable solution to enhance safety by ensuring rapid responses to gas leaks and fires, ultimately minimizing damage and protecting lives.

Abstract

Raya Ganting Mosque is the oldest mosque in Padang City and has a role in social and religious life. The mosque has special rules related to circulation, such as avoiding meetings between males and females, which disturbs the sanctity of worship. The circulation of space in the mosque must be considered for the convenience of worshipers, where the issue in this study is still the occurrence of cross circulation in the foyer, left side entrance, and the prayer room which is closer to the entrance to the women's ablution room. This study aims to analyze the suitability of the existing space circulation in the Mosque using the theory of D. K Ching (1993). The method in this research uses the Descriptive Qualitative Method by using variables of building access, Circulation flow configuration, and relationship between space and road. The results showed that the circulation space based on the achievement of the mosque building has more than one entrance access, the flow of motion of worshipers in the mosque is accessed linearly, and the relationship between spaces has a spatial relationship through space, ends in space, and penetrates in space. In conclusion, the circulation of space in the Mosque is effective and efficient, where the achievement of the building has more than one entrance to avoid congestion of worshipers, the flow of movement of worshipers in the mosque is accessed linearly which makes it easier for worshipers to go to each room in the mosque, and the relationship between spaces through space and ends in space where good minimize cross-circulation between worshipers. However, some aspects such as the arrangement of the women's ablution room must be considered to reduce cross-circulation between worshipers, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the comfort of worshipers in worship. Abstract

Folklore is a national cultural heritage that still has values that should be developed and utilized for present and future life. Previously, folk tales were spread by word of mouth until finally the stories were known to many people, therefore folk tales were included in oral literature. In folklore there are many life messages that can be implemented in everyday life in order to become a better human being. However, it is a shame that folklore now sounds foreign to society, especially among children and teenagers. Seeing this problem, researchers offer a solution that can restore people's interest, especially teenagers and children, in folklore. By incorporating today's technology into folklore, it will help attract people's interest, especially teenagers and children, to return to reading folklore. Augmented Reality is a technology that can integrate computer objects, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional, into a real environment. This research uses a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out through pretest and posttest in the form of multiple choice questions with four answer choices. Augmented reality can not only be a medium for increasing knowledge of folklore, but it can also be a medium for increasing students' sense of wanting to preserve folklore.

Abstract

The foreign exchange (Forex) market offers the potential for high profits but also great risks through currency pair trading. This research proposes the use of the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm, a type of Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), to predict forex price movements for the USD/JPY (American Dollar to Japanese Yen) currency pair based on daily data over a two-year period. The model was designed with a “sequential” architecture consisting of two LSTM layers with 100 units each, followed by a Dropout layer to reduce overfitting and a Dense layer to generate predictions. The total model has 365,905 parameters, with 121,301 parameters trained. During training, model evaluation showed that the combination of batch size 16 and epoch 150 resulted in an RMSE of 0.9840, indicating high accuracy. The application of the model also resulted in an RMSE value of 1.04 and a MAPE of 0.56%, with an average accuracy of 99.44%, indicating a prediction accuracy that successfully follows the actual price trend and is effective in capturing forex price movement patterns in the USD/JPY currency pair, thereby supporting future trading decisions.
