Abstract

This study aims to describe the work discipline of teachers and employees on the awareness of implementing time discipline, regulatory discipline, and responsibility discipline. The indicators of the work discipline of teachers and employees are related to the principal's role as a leader and motivator. The leader will be an example and role model for his members in applying work discipline. Likewise, the principal of SD Ta'mirul Islam has a role as a leader and motivator in guiding teachers and employees to apply work discipline. This research is a descriptive research with case study method. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, and librarians at SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique of this research uses triangulation of sources by checking the truth of information from informants and analyzing. The results of the study indicate that there is a role for the principal as a leader and motivator in monitoring teacher work discipline, so that indicators of work discipline from time to time, regulations, and responsibilities can be implemented properly and orderly.Keywords: Work Discipline; Educator; Education Personnel; Principal's Role

Abstract

Indonesia has entered a decline in Covid-19 cases. Based on this, the government is considering implementing the Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) process in early 2021. Readiness for the implementation of PTM carried out in schools must pay attention to readiness from an internal and external perspective. The readiness for the implementation of PTM from an internal perspective is the support from parents and teachers. This support can be in the form of managing the child's stress, encouragement to express the child's feelings, as well as important mental support for the child. This study uses a qualitative research approach. The method used is literature study and the data collection method is in the form of documentation. This study was used to understand the mental health of elementary school students in dealing with the implementation of PTM. The analytical method used in this study is the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. The readiness for the implementation of PTM on the mental health of elementary school students can be handled in three ways, namely providing students with knowledge about Covid-19, knowing their own health conditions and being able to take steps according to their own health conditions. The readiness for the implementation of PTM from schools greatly affects the mental health of children. Therefore, there is a need for careful preparation both internally and externally.Keywords: Face-to-face Learning Readiness; Mental health; Elementary School Student

Abstract

Raden Mas Said is a figure known in the Javanese saga as a figure who knows no fear. This figure once challenged three forces at once, namely the Surakarta Sunanate, the Dutch colonial, and the Yogyakarta Sultanate. The purpose of this study was to determine the fighting strategy of Raden Mas Said and his attitude towards the Kartasura Palace. This study uses the historical method with books, journals, and oral sources. The results of this study indicate that the battle strategy of Raden Mas Said is like eating jenang cartel porridge from the new edge to the middle, fighting from the new edge to the core and also using the Chakra Byuha battle title tactics which relies on its unity so as not to break and crush everything in its path. Abstract

Poetry still exists today, through poetry the author can express his feelings and thoughts. In addition to being written, poetry can also be read, made into musicals, inserted in short stories, novels, and films. There are various studies that can be used to analize poetry, one of which is stylistics studies. Tyhrough this study, it can be seen the style of language used by the author in making poetry. The purpose of this study is to find the style of language in the collection of poems My Firl by Joko Pinurbo. This study uses a qualitative method. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of the research on the use of language styles in the collection of poems My Girl by Joko Pinurbo, namely parable language style, metaphor language style, personification language style, cynicism style, and anaphoric language style.Keywords: literary works; poetry; stylistics

Abstract

Habiburrahman's novel Kembara Rindu is the first soul-building dwilogi novel written by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This novel portrays Lampung's cultural life and pesantren by instilling the cultural values of the main characters in the novel. This study aims to describe the forms and inculcation of the cultural values of the main characters. The data source of this research is from the novel Kembara Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The research method used is qualitative method. Data collected in the form of words and sentences taken from the novel Kembara Rindu. The data collection technique used is listening and note taking. The results of the study are the inculcation of the cultural values of the main characters found in the novel Kembara Rindu by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy namely there are three instillations of cultural values. First, the inculcation of the cultural values of the main characters towards God. Second, the inculcation of the cultural values of the main characters in themselves or as individual beings. Third, the inculcation of the cultural values of the main characters towards other human beings or as social creatures. This research can be applied in everyday life as an inculcation of good attitudes and morals in order to create peace in life with Islamic teachings that are not dogmatic.Keywords: cultural values; novels; sociology of literature

Abstract

In terms of quantity, women are rarely represented in political advertisements. In line with that, studies on how female figures are imaged in political advertisements are minimal. This study aims to provide an understanding of how women (Puan Maharani) are imaged in the political advertisement "Kepak Sayap Kebhinekaan" through the point of view of Roland Barthes' semiotic study. This study uses a qualitative approach by utilizing semiotic analysis. In the political advertisement "Kepak Sayap Kebhinekaan", women, in this case, Puan Maharani, are portrayed as having power as political leaders. In addition, women are portrayed as leaders who are nationalists, revolutionaries, protectors, guardians of diversity and deserve respect. The red color and the kebaya as a sign in Puan Maharani's political advertisement also have a negative connotation, namely opening up the perspective of female leaders with a communist stigma and lack of Islam.   Keywords: Political Advertisement; Representation; Woman

Abstract

Life problems include many things, one of which is sexual harassment. The data shows that the number of sexual harassment is increasing. In addition, sexual harassment can occur at any time and in various contexts. However, there is still little research related to sexual harassment that involves various perspectives. The multi-perspective research is important so that the solution to handling sexual harassment is comprehensive. The study was conducted by systematic review. The results showed that the study of sexual harassment using psychological, social, and religious perspectives would produce more comprehensive alternative solutions. For example, increasing knowledge about sexual harassment, improving the construction of women's image and position between men and women, self-control, increasing assertive behavior, providing support to victims of sexual harassment, to increasing religiosity.Keywords: psychology; religion; sexual harassment; social

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the importance of strengthening religious moderation and national insight for the community through educational institutions, both formal, non-formal and informal educational institutions. This research is a qualitative research to find the meaning of a phenomenon. The data analysis uses the triangulation method, which is to cross check from a document source with another source, or from a document source with a historical fact. These results are (1) Formal educational institutions are the right means in carrying out religious moderation activities because in formal education there is a structured, systemic and easy-to-evaluate learning space, (2) religious moderation learning in non-formal institutions, is very effective in developing insight nationality considering that non-formal educational institutions are built on public awareness and are doctrinal in character, (3) the implementation of religious moderation education in informal educational institutions is also no less strategic considering that informal educational institutions that are integrated in the community can effectively stem radical religious beliefs that easily accessible and consumed by the public.Keywords: Religious Moderation; National Insight; Educational Institutions

Abstract

This study is a qualitative study where the researcher aims to observe and analyze speaking anxiety in 5th semester English Education students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. This study adopts or uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews and questionnaires. Researchers collected 14 respondent data from students majoring in English Education in semester 5 who had undergone interviews and had filled out questionnaires. Because this research uses an qualitative approach, the data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive non-statistical. The findings show that some of the main causes of speaking anxiety in students are self-confidence, lack of vocabulary and also lack of preparation. The results of this study contribute to the field of language teaching in terms of student factors, especially speaking anxiety during classroom learning. This study aims to apply the method of overcoming speaking anxiety in the learning process in the classroom, especially English Education. Keywords: English Education; Speaking Anxiety; Students

Abstract

Assets of Islamic financial institutions always increase from year to year. One of those that experienced an increase was Bank Central Asia (BCA) Syariah which experienced an increase of 9.5% in 2021 from the previous year with a nominal figure of 10,642.3 billion. There is a lot of general discussion in the community that Islamic banks are not much different from conventional banks. Some even think they have the same principle. Thus, this research needs to be done to determine the compliance of Islamic principles in BCA Syariah. This measurement is carried out using the Islamicity Performance Index (IPI) proposed by Hameed (2004). The research was conducted using quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. The results showed that the PSR and IIC ratios had the predicate "quite satisfactory" and "very satisfactory." Meanwhile, the EDR ratio and zakat performance are inversely proportional to the "very unsatisfactory" predicate. The DEWR ratio shows a gap between directors and employees 21-29 times during 2017-2021. This research can contribute to all stakeholders in BCA Syariah.
