Abstract

A common phenomenon among perpetrators of early marriages is the fragility of the marriage structure due to their lack of readiness to lead family life. This doesnot happen in Jetis village. Karangrayung District, Grobogan Regency. Applying qualitative research,  with the technique of data collecting observation, interview and document review, this study resulted that ; 1). Moslem women view that early married life is very difficult both psychologically and economically. However, women in the village have the initiative to maintain their marriage; 2). efforts made by women are trying to solve economic problems, namely by living a simple life, working hard, saving and doing entrepreneurship; 3).  The reason women make various efforts is because of religious motives so that they are able to survive in a crisis or difficulty, so that they are able to rise again in maintaining the family economy, so that a prosperous and noble life can be achieved.

Abstract

Although research on family functioning has been widely documented, few studies still examine the important role of women in maintaining family functioning to get through various crises. This paper aims to analyze the efforts of Kaili women in improving family functioning in Central Sulawesi. The study utilizes exploratory case study research design and uses McMaster’s Family Assessment Device (FAD) theory as well as positive psychology analysis. The findings of this study show that the efforts of Kaili women in improving family functioning in Central Sulawesi include six aspects, those are solving problem deliberatively, building interpersonal communication, fostering positive emotions, increasing intimacy, synergizing in the role sharing, and supporting extended family. This empirical research also confirms that both the support of the extended family and the spirit of women as bulonggo (the backbone of the family/ the breadwinner) in the Kaili Tradition are supporting factors for family functioning. In addition, This finding complements McMaster’s family functioning theory, which states that the extended family plays a significant role in family functioning. The theoretical implications of this study will be discussed at the end of this study.

Abstract

Salah satu topik penelitian yang paling sering tentang prokrastinasi adalah prokrastinasi akademik. Prokrastinasi adalah perilaku sukarela untuk menunda tindakan, meskipun ia telah mampu memprediksi bahwa penundaan akan membuat hal-hal buruk. Artikel ini membahas perilaku siswa yang menunda sejumlah tugas akademik sampai di dekat batas waktu untuk pengajuan tugas, atau sampai mereka mendapatkan peringatan yang berhubungan dengan mereka dalam tindakan. Berdasarkan survei tahun 2010 pada mahasiswa Universitas Islam Negeri. ditemukan ada perbedaan persentase antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan dari kelas 2004/2005. Persentase prokrastinasi siswa laki-laki sebanyak 78,5% sedangkan siswa perempuan yang menunda studinya sebanyak 21,5%. Hal ini kemudian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk siswa kelas 2004/2005, siswa laki-laki sering menunda studi mereka dibandingkan dengan yang perempuan. fenomena di UIN Sunan Kalijaga adalah bukti prestasi siswa perempuan dalam pendidikan ditandai kemampuan siswa perempuan ‘untuk menyelesaikan studi lebih cepat dibandingkan laki-laki. One of the most frequent research topic of procrastination is academic procrastination. Procrastination is a voluntary behavior to delay an action, though she/he has been able to predict that the delay will make things Worse. This article examines the behavior of students who put off a number of academic duties until near the deadline for submission of assignments, or until they get a warning related to their in action. Based on the survey in 2010 at the State Islamic University student. it is found there is a difference in the percentage between male and female students of class 2004/2005. Percentage of male students of procrastination as much as 78.5% while the female students who put off her studies as much as 21.5%. It can then be concluded that for the students of class Z004/2005, male students often postpone their studies compared with the female ones. the phenomenon at UIN Sunan Kalijaga is evidence of the achievements of female students in education characterized female students’ ability to complete the study more quickly than male ones.

Abstract

This research focuses on the forms of resistance developed by women survivors of Technology-Facilitated Sexual Violence (TFSV) or Kekerasan Gender Berbasis Siber (KGBS) on social media. This research aims to describe and analyze those forms of resistance. This paper uses the resistance theory of James Scott to identify forms of victim resistance and uses SWOT analysis to evaluate the results that have been carried out. The samples of this research are social media users, specifically on Instagram and Twitter, and public figures who were experiencing sexual violence on those media. This qualitative research has been conducted with a gender perspective and primary data as a data collection. The results showed that the forms of women's resistance were public education through social media, prosecuting and threatening perpetrators, and self-acceptance. Based on SWOT analysis, these resistance forms have enabled victims to expose cases of sexual violence in cyberspace using social media and open dialogue with social media, and increase public awareness. This research seeks to show a tangible form of women's resistance to sexual violence on social media. Although it cannot eliminate patriarchal culture in society's view of sexual violence, these forms of women's resistance can affect people effectively so that gradually people can recognize forms of sexual violence in cyberspace and no longer blame the victim.Keywords : TFSV, resistance, women studies, public figure

Abstract

Afghan women and girls became the portray of the victim of violence in the last years until the recent years. The issue of violence toward Afghan women and girls often arise and being the debate in the international public. The news about the tragedy spread through the newspaper, printed and online, and also in the literature world. The exposure of their sufferings as the impact of war, conflict among the ethnics, Talizam rezim reflected in the Parvana's Trilogy named The Breadwinner (2000), Parvana's Journey (2002), and Mud City (2003). These trilogy were wriiten by Deborah Ellis. How the women and girls became the most victim which received violence caused by all of the trigger displayed obviously show the social facts of violence and the structure of violence toward happened to them. Those will be discussed in this paper to get the deep comprehension about the woman and girls' impact after they get the violence. The theory of violence and framing analysis will be used to analyze in order to get the result of the cause by the viooence and abuse itself. The outcome of the study shows that many efforts done by women and girls to overcome their difficult lives, such as pretending being boys, human trafficking, and living as refugees are the ways to survive from the worst violence caused by the war, conflict between ethnics and Taliban rezime.

Abstract

Peluang partisipasi perempuan dalam politik melalui kuota tiga puluh persen pada kenyataannya masih mengalami sejumlah kendala struktural. Penyebabnya adalah kesalah pahaman dari peran perempuan yang menempatkan perempuan bukan sebagai pemimpin tetapi hanya sebagai ‘pemanis’ politik untuk menarik massa pemilih. Selain itu, kurangnya tindakan afirmatif yang dilakukan oleh pihak partai juga melemahkan posisi perempuan dalam politik. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa hambatan struktural untuk keterlibatan perempuan dalam politik dapat diselesaikan dengan komitmen dan kerjasama dari berbagai pihak, yaitu perempuan itu sendiri, masyarakat, partai politik dannegara sebagai penjamin yang bertanggung jawab untuk pemenuhan hak-hak politik perempuan. Tanpa sinergi berbagai pihak, hak-hak politik perempuan masih akan diabaikan.kata kunci: Calon anggota legislatif perempuan, Hakpolitik perempuan, Reposisi perempuan The opportunities of women participation in politics through a quota of thirty percent in reality is still experiencing a number of structural constraints.The cause is a misconception of women role which places women not as a leader but only as a political‘sweetener’ to attract the masses of voters. Besides,the lack of affirmative actions undertaken by theparties also weakens the position of women in politics.The article concludes that the structural obstacles towomen’s involvement in politics can be solved with the commitment and cooperation of many parties, namelythe women themselves, society, political parties andthe state as the guarantor which is responsible for thefulfillment of the political rights of women. Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan aktivitas menenun bagi Perempuan Melayu yang dilihat dari dua sisi, yaitu peluang usaha dan pelestarian budaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara sebagai pengumpul data utama. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara dengan informan yang terdiri dari perajin tenun, tokoh agama, dan tokoh masyarakat. Hasil kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peluang usaha muncul sebagai akibat dari otonomi daerah dan kebijakan Pemerintah Provinsi Riau untuk menggali berbagai khasanah lokal khas Riau. Pada saat ini sudah muncul pusat-pusat penghasil kain tenun dan juga sentra-sentra yang menjual kain tenun. Sedangkan pelestarian budaya merupakan efek dari kebijakan tersebut yang membuat para perajin tenun kembali bergairah untuk menekuninya karena memiliki nilai ekonomis. Pewarisan keterampilan menenun tidak lagi hanya terbatas pada keluarga perajin, melainkan juga sudah meluas kapada masyarakat yang meminatinya. Pemerintah mendukung dengan berbagai program dan kebijakan agar keterampilan menenun tetap bertahan dan berkembang di tengah masyarakat Melayu Riau.

Situasi iniberlangsung terus-menerus dengan dalih agama. Beberapaayat dari Al-Qur’an diposisikan sebagai legalitas tindakanarogansi dan superior. Tulisan ini berfokus pada ayat ayat yang mengurangi hak-hak perempuan dalam perkawinan,dihubungkan dengan gambaran yang lengkap darihak perempuan dalam perkawinan, diharapkanmeminimalkan terjadinya kekerasan di tangga rumahdan dapat menghidupkan kembali semangat Alquranuntuk kemerdekaan perempuan dan pembebasanperbudakan yang tidak manusiawi. Abstract

Traditional practices are one of the factors that cause gender inequality because they consider women to be inferior to the superiority of men. The purpose of this study is to reveal the customary practices of Lampung which then cause gender inequality to be hereditary by focusing on the term mikhrul. By using qualitative research data was collected through interviews with traditional leaders, religious and community leaders. In addition, indirect observation was used to strengthen data that was not disclosed at the time of the interview. Secondary data obtained from journals and books. By using descriptive analysis, the findings of this study are: mikhrul is a customary term that is socialized to girls from a young age which means that girls are daughter-in-law while boys are biological children. Consequence, girls do not have access, participation, and control in the family, because the role of girls is temporary, namely before marriage. Therefore, daughters are only custodians of family assets. Meanwhile, sons have a substitute role for their parents, are responsible for family members who are not yet independent, and have responsibilities for their wives, so that sons have power over all parental assets.
