Abstract

ABSTRAKSuatu perkawinan di bangun untuk mencapai tujuan kebahagiaan lahir dan batin, namun dewasa ini ada suatu fenomena yang cukup memprihatinan terjadi pada kaum perempuan yang mengalami tindakan kekerasan dalam rumah tangga berupa kekerasan seksual. Idealnya keberadaan hukum mampu memberikan perlindungan terhadap perempuan dari berbagai tindakan kekerasan yang kerap terjadi di masyarakat baik kekerasan dalam bentuk fisik dan psikis. Tulisan ini mencoba mengangkat fenomena marital rape yang masih dianggap tabu bagi masyarakat Indonesia secara umum, sehingga perlu dikaji dari alasan budaya hukum dan undang-undang PKDRT. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan normatif-empiris, atau gabungan dari pendekatan hukum normatif dengan penambahan beberapa unsur empiris. Fenomena marital rape secara nilai sangat tidak sesuai dengan jiwa dan nilai-nila yang hidup di dalam masyarakat Indonesia, namun fenomena tersebut terjadi sehingga pemerintah mengambil strategi dalam melindungi kaum perempuan melalui penegakkan hukum undang-undang PKDRT.Kata Kunci : Kekerasan Seksual, Perlindungan, Perempuan.  ABSTRACTA marriage was built to achieve the goal of physical and spiritual happiness, but today there is a phenomenon that is quite alarming to occur in women who experience acts of domestic violence in the form of sexual violence. Ideally, the existence of the law can provide protection for women from various acts of violence that often occur in society, both physical and psychological violence. This paper tries to raise the phenomenon of marital rape which is still considered a taboo for Indonesian people in general, so it needs to be assessed from the reasons of legal culture and the law Understanding the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT). The research method uses a normative-empirical approach, or a combination of normative legal approaches with the addition of several empirical elements. The marital rape phenomenon in terms of value is very incompatible with the soul and values that live in Indonesian society, but the phenomenon occurs so that the government takes a strategy in protecting women through law enforcement Understanding the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT).Keywords: Sexual Violence, Protection, Women

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mengungkap peran organisasi massa (ormas) perempuan dalam mewujudkan dan membangun perdamaian yang sering kali terabaikan dari perhatian publik. Ini dikarenakan pada umumnya ormas perempuan hanyalah sebagai badan otonom dari organisasi induknya. Padahal gerakan, kiprah, dan perjuangan mereka sangatlah signifikan, termasuk dalam upaya mewujudkan kerukunan intern dan antar umat beragama. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif-kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pengurus Wilayah Muslimat NU Jawa Tengah merupakan salah satu ormas perempuan yang menaruh atensi terhadap pembangunan perdamaian di Jawa Tengah. Selama 2 tahun pertama masa khidmahnya (2016-2018), PW Muslimat NU Jawa Tengah telah melakukan upaye pembangunan perdamaian tersebut melalui model dialogue in communitydan dialogue of life yang dapat diklasifikasikan ke dalam dua bentuk, yaitu: melakukan capacity building di internal pengurus dan anggota PW Muslimat NU Jawa Tengah dengan mengedepankan sikap moderat dalam beragama, dan membangun harmonisasi intern dan antar umat beragama dengan bersinergi melakukan kesepakatan bersama lembaga pemerintah dan organisasi keagamaan lainnya dalam rangka menghindarkan klaim kebenaran dan mengembangkan toleransi.Kata Kunci: Organisasi Massa Perempuan, Muslimat NU, Pembangunan PerdamaianABSTRACTThis article aims to reveal the role of women’s mass organizations in realizing and building peace that are often overlooked since in general they are only autonomous boards of their main organization. Data was collected by the method of documentation, interviews, and observations, and then analyzed descriptively-critically. The results of the study indicate that PW Muslimat NU Central Java is one of the women’s organizations that put attention on peace building in Central Java in the range of 2016-2018. PW Muslimat NU Central Java has made peace building efforts through a dialogue in community and dialogue of life model that can be classified into two forms, namely: capacity building in the internal management and members of the PW Muslimat NU Central Java by promoting moderate attitude in religion, and building internal and inter-religious harmonization by synergizing in agreement with government institutions and other religious organizations in order to avoid truth claims and develop tolerance.Keywords: Women’s Mass Organization, Muslimat NU, Peace Building

Guru perempuan  memiliki peran besar dalam PemilihanUmum di Indonesia tetapi tingkat keterwakilanperempuan dalam politik masih sangat rendah. Penelitianini mencoba untuk menganalisis orientasi politikdari guru perempuan yang meliputi aspek kognitif,afektif dan evaluatif. Menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini menyimpulkan orientasi politik dari guru wanita bervariasi tergantung pada aktivitas merekadi masyarakat. Guru perempuan yang aktif dalamorganisasi politik memiliki orientasi yang sangat kuat.Sementara guru yang memiliki aktivitas non-politik, memiliki orientasi yang lebih rendah.kata kunci: Orientasi politik, guru perempuan, pemilihan umum Women teachers also have a big role in the GeneralElection in Indonesia but the level of women representation in politics is still very low. This researchtries to analyze political orientation of women  teachersthat includes cognitive, affective and evaluative aspects.Through the qualitative method, the research conclusionis that the political orientation of women teachers variesdepend on their  activity in the community. Womenteachers who  active in political organizations has very strong orientation. While teachers who have non-political activity, have the lower orientation.Keywords : political orientation, women teacher, general election.

Abstract

The concept of representation of Dewi Sri manifested in the Langen Tayub performance. However, as the massive development in Javanese society, the image of warangganas has gradually derogated. Even waranggana has been synonymous with prostitute, being a waranggana is not similar to be a sexual worker. There are many requirements of being a waranggana. Not only must able to sing obligatory gendhings, a waranggana is required to be a good dancer. Therefore, a waranggana training system was established in Ngrajek, Sambirejo, Tanjunganom, Nganjuk regency, East Java. The procession of graduation from this training has been an annual tourism agenda of Nganjuk regency, called gembyangan waranggana. The existence of training system for waranggana has been an antithesis of pejorative image of warangganas. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze on the existence of waranggana training system in Nganjuk. Refers to Kristeva idea of abjection of women role, this paper will focus on how the negative perception of warangganas has been formulated. Moreover, the discussion of government policies for managing this training system will be another highlight. The first chapter will be an introduction which represented by the history of gembyangan waranggana. The second chapter will explain the process being a good waranggana and skills have to be mastered. Then will continue by the social condition of waranggana and the society’s perception toward them. All chapters will be wrapped up by the last chapter, discussion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan konsep hak ijbar dalam fiqh, dan menyelidiki relevansinya dengan isu-isu gender saat ini. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan menjelaskan wali dan kepercayaan, makna hak ijbar, opini ulama ‘tentang hak ijbar, dan relevansi hakijbar terhadap isu-isu gender. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptifkualitatif,karena penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengungkapkan dan menjelaskan hak ijbar di fiqh dilihatdari perspektif gender. Dengan menggunakan metodepenelitian yang diuraikan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hak ijbar tidak berlaku untuk gadis-gadis yangmatang dan kompeten tentang hukum. Ini berarti hakuntuk memilih calon pendamping hidup adalah milikanak. Peran wali adalah sebagai pertimbangan pemberidan masukan saja. Slapstick in the Wayang Kulit Arena: Gender Domination Practices Lead to Symbolic Violence

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the phenomenon of dagelan dalang and sinden in Yogyakarta's shadow puppet limbukan scene. Dagelan in Wayang is a humor/joke show to entertain the audience, usually done by dalang with sinden. For some people, dagelan is commonplace because it is generally presented in limbukan scenes for entertainment. However, dagelan in the limbukan section is not just entertainment but causes symbolic exploitation of sinden by the puppeteer with his various practices. Of course, this phenomenon is very paradoxical; on the one hand, the existence of sinden is significant because it supports the success of the shadow puppet show last night, but on the other hand, sinden becomes a victim of ridicule/laughter in a helpless condition because it is dominated and controlled by the puppeteer. The audience and group members even confirmed this dominance. In limbukan scenes, a sinden follows the puppeteer's instructions to sing a song while standing up and dancing. In addition, sinden is also the object of entertainment and even mockery of the mastermind with verbal and nonverbal language that causes discomfort. This is symbolic violence because sinden is a victim of entertainment exploitation. The conclusion shows that the extended exploitation of the mastermind against the sinden in the limbukan scene occurred because of the position of the sinden in a weak place in the ownership of capital compared to the mastermind. Sinden, however, is a part of the domination by the mastermind. On the contrary, puppeteers have various capital to become the dominant class with dominance and power. This leads to symbolic violence by the mastermind against Sinden and can even lead to mental violence.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the role of women in preserving the environment in the Karimunjawa Islands. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The data collection used are in-depth interviews and observations. The data analysis research used is coding, by putting the codes on the material obtained. Coding is intended to be able to organize and systemize data in a complete and detailed manner so that data can appear in the description of the topic under study.From the findings of the study it can be concluded: one of the roles of women in preserving the environment in Karimunajawa Islands is to manage waste, which is done by forming a waste bank and inviting families and other people to manage waste. While informants who have lodging houses also use water wisely and sort waste in the form of organic and non-organic waste. For informants who are teachers, besidesplanting crops that is needed everyday, they are able to invite their students to take care of the environment around the school and clean the beach. Keywords: karimunjawa, environmental conservation, women's role  AbstrakTujuan Penelitian adalah menganalisis peran perempuan dalam melestarikan lingkungan di Kepulauan Karimunjawa. Penelitian ini adaah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam dan pengamatan. Dalam penelitian analisis data yang digunakan adalah koding, dengan membubuhkan kode-kode pada materi yang diperoleh. Koding dimaksudkan untuk dapat mengorganisasi dan mensistemasi data secara lengkap dan mendetail sehingga data-data dapat muncul gambaran tentang topik  yang diteliti. Dari hasil temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan: salah satu peran perempuan dalam melestarikan lingkungan di Kepulauan Karimunajawa  adalah  mengelola sampah, yang  dilakukan dengan membentuk bank sampah dan mengajak keluarga serta orang lain untuk mengelola sampah. Sedangkan informan yang memiliki rumah penginapan juga menggunakan air secara bijak dan memilah sampah dalam bentuk sampah organik dan nonorganik. Untuk informan yang berprofesi guru selain menanam tanaman yang bisa diperlukan sehari-hari juga mengajak muridnya dalam menjaga lingkungan di sekitar sekolah dan upaya melakukan bersih-bersih pantai.

Abstract

Pada masa sekarang ini, keberadaan khitan perempuan masih dalam perdebatan. Hal ini disebut sukarela sunat sukarela perempuan atau juga dikenal sebagai mutilasi Alat Kelamin Perempuan (FGM). Di sini, sunat perempuan sering dikaitkan dengan ajaran agama dan tradisi masyarakat yang harus selalu dijaga. Bagi Untuk beberapa feminis, sunat perempuan dianggap sebagai praktik kekerasan yang harus dihilangkan dari masyarakat. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana tradisi, keberagamaan dan juga isu gender berpengaruh dalam membentuk pandangan masyarakat terkait praktik sunat perempuan ini. Budaya masyarakatdan tradisi keagamaan yang lebih bernuansa patriarki,menjadi legitimasi kelangsungan praktek ini. Melalui metode kualitatif, tulisan ini menemuka njelaskan beberapa tren sunat perempuan, pelaksanaannya padaperempuan, dimensi agama, tradisi dan tinjauan kritis dari praktek ini .Kata kunci: sunat perempuan, tradisi, agama dankekerasan jender. In today’s world, the existence of female circumcision isstill in debate. It is called  voluntary female circumcisionor it is also known as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).Here, female circumcision is often associated with religiousteachings and traditions of society that must always bemaintained. For some feminists, female circumcision is considered as the practice of violence that should beeliminated from society. This paper aimed to explore howdoes the tradition, religiousity and also gender issue effectthe community way of thingking about circumcision.Community culture and religious traditions that havebeen more nuanced patriarchal, became the legitimacyof the continuity of this practice. Trough the qualitativemethod, this paper finds ssome trends of circumcision,it’s implementation for women, the religious dimension, tradition and critical review of this practice.Keywords: female circumcision, traditions, religious and gender violence

Abstract

This study explores the gender dynamics of Pandalungan women in East Java, who navigate the coexistence of patriarchal culture and egalitarian values. Despite living in a social order dominated by male authority, Pandalungan women show strong independence and decision-making capacity in domestic and public spheres. Their resilience reflects the egalitarian ethos of Madurese culture, where cooperation, mutual respect, and adaptability coexist with traditional hierarchies. Employing a descriptive qualitative method through interviews and literature studies, this research investigates how women position themselves, negotiate authority, and assert agency in family and community life. The findings reveal that while patriarchal norms remain influential, women actively contribute to household economies, education, and community leadership—reshaping conventional gender boundaries. Their participation illustrates that egalitarianism is not merely an imported ideal but a lived cultural practice rooted in local values. Pandalungan women thus become central figures in sustaining family welfare and promoting social balance. The study concludes that the dynamics of patriarchy and egalitarianism in Pandalungan society demonstrate a gradual transformation toward gender equality, where women’s agency evolves through negotiation, collaboration, and moral authority rather than open confrontation.

Abstract

Globalization has been so far understood as a mere global phenomenon that benefits all group of people while its negative effects are commonly ignored. This paper examines multipolar outcome of globalization in which women and social media are mostly taking a part. I am focusing only on women’s role as the dominant users of internet without, of course, overlooking intentionally men’s role. To build my argument, I started this paper by arguing that the idea of ‘imagined community’ by Benedict Anderson and ‘conversed community’ by Merlyna Lim are no longer sufficient to portray the impact on social condition nowadays. Rather than using those terms, I proposed another term which is more appropriate to apply; it is atomized society. In this regard, the role of both women and social media are very significant in paving a way of atomized society. Finally, through an informal interview I conducted with some members of LISMA (Lingkar Studi Mahasiswi Muslim Peduli Negeri), a faith-based women community in Yogyakarta, it exemplifies how women are evidently vulnerable to such global effect with the help of social media.
