Abstract

This study attempts to describe efforts to develop the leadership skills of Islamic Education teachers, the strategies used by Islamic Education teachers to foster religious character in students at school, the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered in fostering religious character in students in the development of Islamic Education teachers' leadership, and concrete examples of successful leadership development in shaping the religious character of students at SMK Miftahul Ulum, Jatidatar.  This study uses a qualitative approach. The data collection methods include observation and interviews. The results of this study are: 1). Efforts made by PAI teachers to develop leadership skills 2). strategies used by PAI teachers to instill religious character in students 3). Abstract

His research is motivated by the importance of transforming Islamic Religious Education (PAI) from mere cognitive teaching toward the internalization of religious values through religious culturing within the school environment. The main focus of this study is to analyze the development of Islamic religious culture based on religious activities as an instrument for student character building. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a library research type. Data were collected through documentation techniques sourced from relevant literature, official documents, and observation results related to religious activities at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Mubarok, Central Lampung. The research results indicate that the development of religious culture is carried out through the integration of spiritual values into the school ecosystem through three main stages: formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation of religious activities that serve as pillars of culturing includes the habituation of Dhuha prayer to train discipline and focus (khusyu'), the implementation of khotmil Qur'an through the bil ghoib and binnadzor methods, congregational Dzuhur prayer to build social cohesion, and the celebration of Islamic Great Days (PHBI) as a means of strengthening religious identity. Active student participation is encouraged by internal motivation and external support from the school environment. This research concludes that routine and sustainable programmed religious activities are effective in transforming Islamic values into student behavior and character in daily life.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the components of learning, learning strategies, and the relevance and implications of contextual teaching and learning in Islamic religious education. The method used in this study is a qualitative literature review, which focuses on analyzing various literature related to contextual teaching and learning in Islamic religious education. The results of the study show that students are expected to understand the meaning of the subject matter they are learning by relating it to the context of their daily lives. This allows students to acquire knowledge and skills that are flexible and applicable. In addition, contextual teaching and learning can help educators or teachers in realizing productive and active learning by paying attention to the components and strategies of learning in Islamic religious education lessons, as well as being able to relate them through their relevance and implications.

Abstract

This study aims to review the integration of technology in Islamic education learning from a theoretical perspective using a descriptive qualitative library research method. The researcher collected and analyzed data from various written sources, including books, journal articles, research reports, and educational policy documents relevant to the research theme. The data collection technique in this study was carried out using document study techniques. The results of the study show that the use of technology, such as learning applications, e-learning platforms, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR), can increase the effectiveness of learning, expand the accessibility of teaching materials, and facilitate teachers in improving their skills in using technology. However, the application of technology also faces challenges, including infrastructure limitations, the readiness of educators and structures, and a lack of institutional support from both the government and the education sector. Thus, this study concludes that the integration of technology in Islamic education has great potential to improve the quality of learning, provided that it is implemented with careful planning and adequate support.

Abstract

This study attempts to describe and analyze the development of PAI teachers' pedagogical competencies. The method used in this study is qualitative, using a literature review approach (library research). The purpose of developing PAI teachers' pedagogical competencies is to develop teacher professionalism, which includes pedagogical competencies that can improve the quality of learning to be more active, innovative, creative, and enjoyable so that learning objectives can be achieved. The competencies specified in the Law on Teachers and Lecturers must meet four requirements, namely pedagogical competence, professional competence, personal competence, and social competence. However, the government is only able to test two competencies, namely pedagogical competence and professional competence. This is because these aspects are considered the most fundamental and essential aspects that teaching and education personnel must possess. By focusing on these two main competencies, the competency testing process becomes more effective in terms of time and can be implemented in a more structured manner that can be measured nationally.

Abstract

Curriculum development is a key component of the education system, determining the direction, quality, and relevance of learning. An effective curriculum must be able to adapt to student needs, global demands, and local contexts. This study reviews various curriculum development models, including the Tyler, Taba, and CIPP models, and discusses their strengths, weaknesses, and applications in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative literature review with a descriptive-comparative approach. The analysis examines the basic principles, implementation processes, and evaluation of each model. The results show that each model has unique strengths: the Tyler model emphasizes systematic learning objectives, the Taba model emphasizes teacher participation and local adaptation, while the CIPP model emphasizes continuous evaluation and curriculum improvement. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating the three models to produce an adaptive, contextual, and sustainable curriculum that can support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia. These findings are expected to guide curriculum developers, teachers, and education policymakers in designing and evaluating relevant and high-quality curricula.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept, implementation, and impact of a multidisciplinary approach in the educational system of An-Nur 1 Islamic Boarding School in Bululawang, Malang, on the moral formation of students. The study used a qualitative method with a field study approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically to understand the practice of integrating scientific values ​​in Islamic boarding school education. The results show that the multidisciplinary approach is understood as a moral-based educational strategy that places religious knowledge as the main foundation, supported by student psychology and educational science. This approach is implemented in formal learning, dormitory life, and non-formal activities operationally and contextually. The study concluded that the multidisciplinary approach contributes positively to the moral formation of students, although it still requires strengthening in the aspects of methodological formulation and systematic evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze elementary school teachers' perceptions of the use of deep learning-based technology in transforming science and mathematics learning at SD Negeri 2 Mataram Udik, Bandar Mataram District, Central Lampung Regency. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, involving fourth-grade science teachers as research subjects. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, learning observations, and documentation, while data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and thematic conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that teachers have a positive perception of the use of deep learning-based technology in IPAS learning. The technology is considered capable of increasing the effectiveness of learning, enriching teaching media and methods, supporting more adaptive and personalized learning, and increasing student engagement and understanding of IPAS material. The use of technology also encourages the transformation of the role of teachers into facilitators and analysts of data-based learning processes. However, there are still challenges related to improving teachers' technical competencies and technological infrastructure readiness. This study concludes that deep learning-based technology has great potential in supporting innovation and transformation of IPAS learning in elementary schools, thus requiring strengthening teacher training, school policy support, and sustainable technology integration in the learning curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the ability to harmonize intellectual potential with spiritual intelligence. The research focus is directed at educators (teachers/parents) and students as the center for value internalization and personality transformation. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis method. Data consist of verbal quotes and behavioral descriptions representing aspects of noble character (akhlakul karimah) and spiritual intelligence, including the values of monotheism (tawhid), independence and discipline, etiquette (adab) and ethics, and self-control. The results indicate that the Islamic educational environment and the role modeling provided by educators serve as the primary instruments in internalizing noble character values into the child's soul. Meanwhile, students demonstrate a tangible behavioral transformation, evolving from individuals who initially lacked self-control and tended to be individualistic into figures who are disciplined, honest, and possess social empathy based on monotheistic values. Furthermore, the subjects experience significant personality development, shifting from a lack of empathy to becoming individuals aware of their moral and social responsibilities. This change is influenced by a consistent process of role modeling and an environment that supports the daily habituation of proper etiquette (adab). These findings demonstrate that the integration of Islamic values in education is not merely a transfer of knowledge but a key strategy in building a holistic (kaffah) child personality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of teachers in internalizing the philosophical values of Islamic education through the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the classroom. The research focus is directed at how Islamic values are systematically instilled in students at MI Al Anshoriyah, Srono District. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through participatory classroom observations during teaching and learning activities, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers, and documentation of instructional tools (Lesson Plans/RPP). The data analysis technique followed an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that PAI teachers at MI Al Anshoriyah perform the roles of mu'allim, muaddib, and murabbi by instilling three primary philosophical values: 1) I'tiqadiyah (faith-based) values through the strengthening of aqidah; 2) Khuluqiyah (ethical) values through the integration of adab in classroom discussions; and 3) Amaliyah (practical) values through direct worship practices during lessons. The internalization process is supported by dialogical methods and exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah), despite challenges such as the heterogeneous religious backgrounds of students at home. This study concludes that the active role of PAI teachers in contextualizing Islamic philosophical values in the classroom is a key factor in shaping students' religious character from an early age.
