Abstract

The 2019 general election is one of the most intense elections in Indonesia's history, especially after reformasi (political reform) in the 1998. This election did not only involve political parties in the fight for the presidency but also involves opposition movements, especially the Islamic movement. After the phenomenon of 212 in 2016, Islamic movements became very active in influencing political activities in Indonesia, including the elections held in 2019. The efforts of this Islamic opposition movement were to delegitimize the regime (Joko Widodo) who tried to participate in the 2019 re-election through various narratives including religious narratives in it. Meanwhile, on the other hand, there are also other Islamic groups that carry out counter-narratives and support Jokowi to be re-elected in the 2019 election. This study focuses on discussing the narratives and counter-narratives carried out by Muslim opposition and pro-regime Islamic groups in the 2019 elections through narrative analysis in qualitative research. Data is collected through online sources, both from those with affiliation with related movements and other media. This research found that there were two sides of the Islamic narrative in the 2019 presidential election, namely the Islamist side who criticized the incumbent presidential candidate and the Islamic group side who supported the presidential candidate as well as the president who was in power.

Abstract

The National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025–2029, as stipulated in Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 12 of 2025, includes the Asta Cita as the eight priority agendas for national development. These priorities include strengthening the Pancasila ideology, improving human quality, bureaucratic reform, and enforcing the law and human rights. This article examines the relevance of Abdurrahman Wahid's (Gus Dur) ideas in the implementation of the Asta Cita policy using a public policy theory framework that emphasises normative and practical dimensions. Gus Dur's thoughts, as outlined in his works Islamku, Islam Anda, Islam Kita (2006) and Prisma Pemikiran Gus Dur (Maarif Institute, 2021), emphasise the importance of inclusivity, tolerance, social justice, and respect for human rights as the foundation for civilised development. This study shows that the integration of Gus Dur's moral values into the Asta Cita policy can strengthen the legitimacy and effectiveness of national policies in Indonesia. Thus, Gus Dur's thoughts become a strategic foundation to ensure that national development is not only based on technocratic aspects but also on human values that uphold pluralism and democracy.

Abstract

Islam and State: The Reflection of Secularization Idea of Nurcholis Madjid. There are some typologies of Islamic political thought. They are fundamental, secular, and liberal. Secular is the typology of Islamic political thought that separate religion and state. In the West, religion and state are differentiated. They advanced because of the separation of religion and state, but not in Islam. Nurcholis Madjid is one of the Islamic political thinkers who explains the secularization of religion and the state. The purpose of this study is to analyze the thoughts of Nurcholis Madjid about the secularization of Islam and the state. This research uses descriptive analytical method. According Madjid the answers of modernization problems especially among the Indonesian Muslim community is secularization. Secularization is needed because Moslem cannot differentiate religion (din) and state (dawlah). Secularization is carried out for Moslems who “deify the world” which should be worldly, and give up religious matters. The formation of an Islamic state is the failure of Moslems to respond to the problem of modernization.

Abstract

 One of the public institutions that must provide services by referring to the principles of good governance is a political party. Political parties become part of the state due to state financing through the National Budget (APBN) and Regional Budget (APBD). The purpose of this study is to find out how public trust in local political parties, as well as to find out efforts in building public trust in local parties. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The result was that local parties must revamp party regeneration if public trust is to increase. In addition, party ideology must be clear so that it is easily understood by the public and also increases public trust in the political party itself. The conclusion from this research is that public trust in political parties is an important thing and one way to achieve this is for parties to be inclusive of the latest issues in their region or region. The next research recommendation that can be carried out is to explore how Islamic law is the basis of the political system in Aceh.

Abstract

Democracy as a political and the government system has demonstrated its existence in the history of the world. This existence can be seen from the many countries that implement it, especially Indonesia. The democratic process becomes an interesting phenomenon because it cannot be separated from the dynamics of the community itself.At present the community has entered the digital era, that the utilization of information and communication technology are massive. One phenomenon of concern is the widespread use of social media. The reality of the utilization of social media not only showed the trend of community interaction and communication but also the trend of political participation which correlates with the sustainability of democracy in Indonesia. At least, it has happened in the last decades, where political figures have been using social media as a channel to construct personal image. On the other hand, social media for civil society is as a new media (alternative media) in channeling aspirations, support, and even criticism to political and government figures.Social media trends also cannot be separated from the figure of young people as massive users of these contemporary products. Even social media is a preference for young people to participate in upholding democratization in Indonesia. It can be seen from the posts or their responses to the socio-political conditions in this country through their account lines and the number of comments they wrote on the accounts of a number of political and government figures.Keywords: democracy, social media, youth.

Abstract

Aksi Bom Bali I tidak hanya menyita perhatian publik nasional namun juga internasional. Di saat yang bersamaan, aksi Bom Bali I menjadi titik tolak dimulainya studi yang lebih serius atas pola gerakan Islam fundamentalis yang melegalkan aksi-aksi teror. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang secara umum berkontribusi atas munculnya aksi terorisme dari kelompok fundamentalisme Islam di Indonesia setidaknya hingga awal era reformasi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mencari titik temu atas konsep fundamentalisme, radikalisme, dan terorisme yang menubuh pada aktor aksi Bom Bali I yaitu Jamaah Islamiyah (JI). Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep fundamentalisme, radikalisme, dan terorisme yang diikuti dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai faktor turut melatarbelakangi aksi terorisme di Indonesia khususnya terorisme dari kalangan Islam fundamentalis. Faktor-faktor tersebut meliputi ikatan sejarah politik masa lalu, persoalan ekonomi, lemahnya penegakan hukum, ketidakadilan sosial, ideologi politik, corak pemikiran keagamaan hingga intervensi politik kekuasaan (state-terorism). Selain itu, temuan penelitian menujukkan terdapat titik temu yang jelas dari fundamentalisme, radikalisme, dan terorisme dalam Jamaah Islamiyah (JI). Fudamentalisme Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) tercemrin dari ideologi salafi jihadi yang dianutnya, radikalisme tercermin dalam metode gerakannya, sementara terorisme tercermin dari praktik operasionalisasi di lapangan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengisi kekosongan atas studi radikalisme dan terorisme di Indonesia.Keywords: fundamentalisme, radikalisme, terorisme, jamaah Islamiyah, bom bali

Abstract

Dibandingkan dengan bidang lainya, kiprah ulama perempuan di politik masih jarang. Namun, di Pantai Utara Jawa (Pantura), terdapat ulama perempuan yang selain mengampu pondok pesantren juga melakukan dakwah politik dengan terjun ke politik praktis. Tulisan ini bertujuan menganalisa bagaimana konstruksi sosial atas dakwah politik yang mereka lakukan. Guna mendapat jawaban, maka jenis penelitianya adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Key person penelitian ini adalah Nyai DN pengasuh Pondok Pesantren Kauman Lasem yang pernah menjadi anggota DPRD Kabupaten Rembang dari PKB. Lalu, ada pula Nyai RJ, pengasuh pondok pesantren Al Hamidiyah Lasem dan menjadi ketua Wanita Persatuan, PPP. Teori yang digunakan adalah Konstruksi Sosial Peter L. Berger dan Thomas Luckmann. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dakwah politik ulama perempuan merupakan hasil kontruksi sosial yang terbentuk melalui dialektika secara simultan antara pengetahuan ulama perempuan dengan realitas sosial melalui mekanisme internalisasi, obyektifikasi, dan eksternalitas. Basis dakwah politik ulama perempuan yaitu pemikiran  bahwa  politik sebagai jihad untuk perbaikan nasib perempuan. Pemikiran ini diperoleh melalui pengalaman yang diinternalisasikan secara terus menerus oleh significant others yaitu lingkungan keluarga, bapak maupun suami yang terlebih dahulu terjun ke politik, dan juga habituasi pengalaman organisasi. Ulama Perempuan mengeksternalisasi pengetahuan yang sudah diobyektivasi dengan tindakan dakwah politik secara kultural dan struktural.

Abstract

People in a country, of course, have the customs and culture of each. This custom was born and developed from the behavior that was sustained in a relatively long time on the initiative of the party who first set. In its development, the behavior is then followed by several individuals in the social space to foster a culture-customs and traditions. In the era of globalization, where cultures, customs or habits that may be opposed to the state ideology enter freely, this is where the state is present to protect these customs along with the actors who have been implementing them. The presence of the state in the government's efforts to create good governance and political will is implicit and explicit in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages.The article examines and discusses and examines the law on village number 6 in 2014 with paradigm, socio-political-anthropological. Studies and studies are carried out using the literature study method in the law with guidelines and a blend of Political, Social and Anthropological theories.In the discussion and conclusion, it is explained and discussed that in the village law explicitly and implicitly indeed shows that the government has a good faith in organizing the country in accordance with the goals and vision of the state mission, in the context of village laws.

Abstract

Dunia politik di Indonesia saat ini sering dikaitkan dengan korupsi, penyuapan, dan penyalahgunaan wewenang. Maka dibutuhkan sebuah kajian teoritis yang dapat dijadikan sebagai pedoman dalam berpolitik, terutama dalam hal etika. Dengan ini, Gus Dur telah menyumbangkan pemikirannya tentang etika politik. Setelah Gus Dur wafat, Gusdurian hadir sebagai anak ideologis Gus Dur untuk melanjutkan perjuangan Gus Dur. Dari sini muncul pertanyaan, bagaimana masyarakat Gusdurian memahami etika politik Gus Dur? apa peran mereka dalam upaya menyebarkannya?. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada lingkup yang lebih kecil, di mana Surakarta menjadi objek penelitian. Sebagai kota kecil, Surakarta memiliki dinamika politik yang menarik khususnya situasi politik dan pluralitas masyarakatnya. Selain itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemahaman para aktivis Gusdurian sebagai wahana implementasi pemikiran etika politik Gus Dur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan. Data diperoleh dari wawancara yang dilakukan dengan para penggerak komunitas Gusdurian Surakarta dan observasi dalam setiap kegiatan komunitas. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa para aktivis Gusdurian Surakarta memahami sepenuhnya konsep etika politik Gus Dur yang mencakup tiga aspek penting, yaitu keadilan, kemanusiaan, dan penegakan demokrasi. Komunitas ini juga bergerak secara konkret dalam upaya menyebarkan etika politik Gus Dur melalui kegiatan-kegiatan konvensional, sikap terhadap permasalahan politik di Surakarta, dan kolaborasi dengan berbagai organisasi lain di Surakarta.

Abstract

Kebijakan sensus penduduk secara on line diterapkan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia. Sensus dalam jaringan ini dilakukan pada Tahun 2020. Kebijakan sesus penduduk secara on line merupakan strategi yang dilakukan untuk menghitung jumlah penduduk secara efektif dan efesien. Sensus penduduk secara on line ini juga dilakukan untuk menyesuaikan Era 4.0 yang dilakukan berbasis informasi dan teknologi.  Pelaksanaan sensus secara on line ini mengandalkan big data yang terintegrasi. Sensus penduduk secara daring ini merupakan yang pertama di Indonesia dan mengandalkan bonus demografi. Kebijakan sensus penduduk secara on line ini juga dapat kita lihat dari respon bagaimana integrasi antara elit yakni pemerintah dan masa yakni masayarakat dalam merespon kebijakan sensus penduduk secara on line.
