The political influence of Islamic identity on democracy will make the nation split. Abstract

Abstract

This article aims to explain the Islamic view of understanding the construction of identity politics in West Lampung. In this case, it uses explanatory qualitative which deals with the issue of regional sons becoming the main commodity in ethnic politics. The findings of this article show that Muklis Basri has established friendship and commitment to the traditional and customary leaders of Sai Batin in West Lampung. The form of his attention is that many traditional activities, and traditional Sai Batin ceremonies are made a permanent regional and tourism agenda in West Lampung Regency. Likewise, the proximity to the persuasive approach of the community, Mukhlis can attract community sympathy by paying great attention to local customs and the public interest. The existence of customary balancers has the authority to make decisions about the results of deliberations in this case mobilization to influence voters. From an Islamic perspective, the prevailing construction of blind fanaticism towards a particular group or tribe, known as ashobiyah, is considered contrary to the principles of equality and fraternity emphasized by this religion as well as the importance of viewing individuals based on their qualities, character and deeds, not their origin based on Q.S Al Hujurat:13.

Abstract

Saudi Arabia and Iran: Ideological Contest and Its Impact in the Middle East Region after The Arab Spring. Tensions surround the Middle East region, especially between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The Sunni-Shia ideological factor contributed to the conflict in the region and also attracted these two countries. This research will answer the question how is the form of contestation of Sunni-Shia ideology represented by Saudi Arabia with Iran in the Middle East? What are the factors and impacts of the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran on countries in the region after the Arab Spring? The historical approach (historical analysis) was chosen to explain the two research questions above, using qualitative methods. Saudi Arabia and Iran represent both a Sunni-Shia ideological contestation, both of which try to support each other's ruling government, as well as conflicting oppositions based on ideological backgrounds. This support is carried out in the form of military assistance, weapons, or direct involvement which is marked by various statements that appear in the media. The disharmony of Saudi Arabia and Iran is driven by several factors, namely first, the Sunni-Shia ideological struggle between the two. Second, the claim to be the holder of the Islamic religion in each version. And third, oil. While the impact of this is political instability in the Middle East region after the Arab Spring, to the "cold war" involving Saudi Arabia and Iran.             .

Abstract

Forest and Land Rehabilitation (FLR) is essential for maintaining ecological balance, particularly in Ulu Belu District, Tanggamus Regency, which faces a high risk of landslides. This study examines the strategies adopted by the Forestry Service in implementing forest and land rehabilitation efforts and the challenges encountered. A qualitative research approach was applied, using data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation with relevant stakeholders, including the Forestry Service and the local community. Findings indicate that the Forestry Service has employed multiple strategies, including the Community Forestry Program (HKm), agroforestry practices, planting soil-stabilizing vegetation, and conducting public awareness campaigns on environmental conservation. However, these initiatives face significant hurdles, such as low public engagement, financial constraints, and the ongoing conversion of protected forests into farmland. Additionally, improper land management has further exacerbated landslide risks and environmental degradation. To improve the efficiency of rehabilitation programs, a more holistic approach is necessary. This includes offering incentives to farmers who implement conservation-oriented agricultural methods, strengthening institutional frameworks within social forestry programs, and promoting collaboration among the government, local communities, and private entities. By adopting more cohesive and sustainable strategies, forest and land rehabilitation in Ulu Belu District can effectively mitigate disaster risks and ensure long-term ecological stability for future generations.
