Abstract

The digital era has transformed student communication patterns through social media platforms, yet its impact on academic writing abilities requires empirical investigation. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media usage on writing abilities of STIEBI Prana Putra Lubuklinggu students. The research employed a quantitative approach with cross-sectional survey design involving 50 Management Study Program students from semesters 3-8. Data were collected through structured online questionnaires and validated writing ability assessment instruments. Data analysis utilized Pearson correlation and multiple regression with SPSS version 25 software. Results revealed significant negative influence of social media usage intensity on academic writing abilities (r=-0.412, p<0.01) with 38.7% variance contribution. Instagram and TikTok platforms negatively correlated with linguistic accuracy, while writing activities on social media showed positive influence on writing creativity. These findings indicate that undirected social media usage may hinder formal writing skill development, yet structured writing activities on digital platforms can support learning. This research provides important contributions for developing writing learning strategies that effectively integrate digital technology.

Abstract

Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is the basic framework for the creation of healthy, transparent, and integrity Islamic banking governance. In the context of BPRS, the implementation of GCG is becoming increasingly important considering the characteristics of Islamic microfinance institutions that are vulnerable to internal risks, limited human resources, and simple organizational structures. This study aims to analyze the application of GCG in PT BPRS Haji Miskin based on the five OJK principles through a literature study method. Data was obtained from scientific journals, OJK regulations, books, and previous research on BPRS governance. The results of the study show that accountability and responsibility have been carried out quite well, while transparency, independence, and internal fairness still need to be improved. This study reinforces previous findings that BPRS has distinctive governance challenges, especially related to human resources and institutional structures. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the evaluation of GCG in small-scale BPRS and offers recommendations for strengthening governance according to OJK standards.

Abstract

This study comprehensively examines the concept, mechanism, and legal implications of syndicated loans in the Indonesian banking industry, which are defined as joint loans by a group of banks to a single debtor with uniform terms to overcome the maximum credit limit (BMPK) in accordance with regulations issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia (BI), as stipulated in BI Circular Letter Number 6/33/UPK/1973, SEBI 11/26/UPK/1979, PBI 7/14/PBI/2005, and Article 1320 of the Civil Code concerning the validity of agreements. The implementation mechanism includes a sourcing stage with a feasibility study based on 5C analysis, structuring termsheets including covenants such as DSCR >1.2x, selling through syndication roadshows, and servicing by agent banks with a single facility agreement that ensures pro-rata non-joint and several risk sharing. The legal implications emphasise the rights and obligations of the parties involved, such as the debtor in relation to events of default, the lead arranger in relation to fiduciary duty, and the participants through majority voting for debt acceleration or execution of collateral rights in accordance with Law No. 4/1996, with potential disputes resolved based on pacta sunt servanda Article 1338 of the Civil Code.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation on the absorption of labor in Indonesia during the 2020–2025 period. The birth of the Job Creation Law is expected to be able to accelerate investment and expand employment, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic which has reduced the participation rate of the national labor force. However, the effectiveness of this policy still raises debate, both in terms of the substance of the regulation and its impact on the welfare of workers. This study uses a literature review method by examining secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, as well as the results of previous research published in the 2020–2025 period. The analysis was carried out descriptively by comparing trends in the labor force participation rate (TPAK), open unemployment rate (TPT), and absorption of formal-informal sector labor before and after the implementation of the Job Creation Law. The results of the study show that the Job Creation Law has a positive impact on increasing investment and job creation in several labor-intensive sectors, but still faces challenges in protecting workers' rights, skills gaps, and dominance of the informal sector. In the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, the implementation of this policy needs to be directed at the fulfillment of the principles of justice and benefit so that job creation also has implications for the quality of work and the welfare of workers.

Abstract

This study investigates the direct and indirect influence of Work–Life Balance (WLB) and Career Development (CD) on Work Motivation (WM) among employees in the Indonesian public sector, specifically at the Regional Revenue Agency (BAPENDA) of Malang Regency. The research aims to clarify the mixed empirical findings regarding the determinants of public-sector motivation and to provide practical implications for Human Resource Management (HRM) policies. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed, using a survey-based approach with a saturated sample of 192 BAPENDA Malang Regency employees (54% female, 74% with undergraduate degrees). Data were collected using a structured questionnaire, and the hypotheses were tested using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Descriptive analysis revealed a highly positive organizational climate, with all three variables (WLB, CD, and WM) rated as "High" to "Very High." Career Development recorded the highest mean score (4.4611). The structural modeling results showed that WLB is the most powerful determinant of Work Motivation, explaining the psychological stability and emotional energy needed for sustained enthusiasm. Career Development also significantly influences WM but plays a more modest, supplementary role. Crucially, the analysis confirmed a partial mediation effect, indicating that the positive impact of Career Development on motivation is partially channeled through employees’ perceptions of Work–Life Balance. This study provides robust empirical evidence from a scarce context—Indonesian regional government institutions—where motivational patterns often differ due to bureaucratic rigidity and formalized structures. It underscores that for strategic HRM improvements in the public sector, the most effective approach is a dual emphasis on protecting daily well-being (WLB) and cultivating meaningful opportunities for growth (CD). The findings highlight that WLB should be prioritized as a prerequisite for maximizing the motivational benefits of career development initiatives

Abstract

This research evaluates the usability of the Halodoc application for new users through an Interaction Design-based study. Quantitative methods, specifically the System Usability Scale (SUS) and the Single Ease Question (SEQ), were employed, supplemented by qualitative observation and interviews to diagnose User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) problems. Quantitative results revealed significant usability issues, demonstrated by an average SEQ score of 3.2 on a 1-7 scale. The average SUS score was 52.0, which categorizes the platform as "Poor" and in the "Marginal" zone of acceptability, indicating users likely face discomfort and difficulty. These findings were reinforced by qualitative data, which pointed to design constraints such as a cluttered interface, confusing menus/icons, and critical functionality problems with the nearest location feature. The study concludes that user interaction with the Halodoc platform is currently unsatisfactory and requires substantial improvements, particularly in interface design, to resolve identified usability violations and achieve a satisfactory user experience.

Abstract

Equality of women and men has been a hot topic for 20 years. In general, gender is the visible difference between men and women when viewed from values and behavior. So far, gender issues have been dominated by women's perspectives, while men's perspectives have not been discussed much. The dominance of women's perspectives often results in a dead end in finding the desired solution, because it ultimately leads to problems originating from men. Islam does not differentiate between the rights and obligations that exist in human anatomy, these rights and obligations are always the same in the eyes of Islam for both different anatomies. Islam puts forward the concept of justice for anyone and everyone regardless of their gender.

Abstract

Teachers are role models for their students, exemplary behavior at school is total exemplification, not only with regard to normative matters but as a whole. Likewise with reading, the example set by teachers at school will continue to stick with children until they return home, until they grow up. Because children can learn from observations and experiences they go through. As one of the assumptions of social cognitive theory is, "people can learn by observing other people". This theory has developed through research by Albert Bandura, Dale Schunk, Barry Zimmerman, quoted by Jeanne Ellis Ormrod (Ormrod, 2009). Therefore, if the teacher's reading interest is high, the teacher will influence students' reading interest. Teachers who are very interested in reading will try to foster a love of reading in their students.

Abstract

Substance use among college students in Jakarta are increasing in number. The rise of student behavior deviations can endanger the survival of the nation in the future, because students are expected to be the nation's leaders. The fragility of youth undermined by addictive substances destroying nerves makes them unable to think and work. As a result, our young generation will only become an unproductive society. Until now the handling of drug abuse cases among students still becomes pros and cons. Students who are exposed to drug cases are not all directly rehabilitated but there are also those who are first processed legally and must be imprisoned. This study aims at answering the questions why the handling of drug abuse cases among students still vary in application which led to pros and cons in society and how to save our young generation from drug abuse so that they can return to the society and contribute to their nation. This study employed a phenomenological approach of a qualitative research design. In this study a semi-structured interview is used to understand how participants experienced the phenomenon. Data were gathered from a total of 15 participants consist of college students, leaders of universities, an official of BNN (National Board of Narcotics and Addictive Substances), Head of prison, and a law practitioner to get the perspectives on how rehabilitation and law enforcement should be implemented. The research proved that the implementation of coersive action in the form of rehabilitation and law enforcement has not been fully implemented properly. This study provides insight into a view to improve the system of handling substance users among college students and offers recommendations for future research.
