Abstract

This study examined the efficiency, prospects, challenges and implications of cashless policy in Nigeria with respect to customers’ attitude towards the adoption of electronic banking services. Specifically focusing on selected six bank branches in Benin-city, Edo state and Port Harcourt, Rivers state respectively. Under the methods, the survey research design was adopted whereby 100 customers were conveniently sampled from the customers of the selected deposit money banks. The instrument for data collection was the questionnaire which was titled “Bank Customers’ Attitude Towards Adoption of E-Banking Services Questionnaire” (BCATAEBSQ) and was divided into three parts. The data received from the respondents were analyzed using SPSS for windows version 23. Mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. From the results of the analysis, it was revealed that all the sampled banks offer various electronic banking services to their customers, and that customers exhibit positive attitude towards the adoption of electronic banking services offered by their banks which brought about cashless policy; also, the extent to which customers’ attitude influences the adoption of electronic banking services in Nigeria is high. It was recommended that since customers display positive attitude towards the adoption of e-banking services, banking organizations should continually see the need to spice up these services with low fees in order not to dissuade them from continuous utilization. Bank employees should also be updated always on more productive utilization of these software\packages.

Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of code choice in sociolinguistics, which refers to how individuals select a language or language variety in specific social contexts. Code choice is influenced by various factors, including social background, communication situations, and speaker identity. Through qualitative data analysis, this article explores how code choice reflects social and cultural dynamics in multilingual societies. The findings indicate that code choice not only serves as a communication tool but also as a reflection of social identity and power relations.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of human resource management (HRM) on the quality of teaching in schools. The main focus of the research is how the implementation of effective HRM can improve teachers' skills, knowledge and motivation to deliver quality teaching. Through selective recruitment processes, continuous training and structured performance evaluations, schools can ensure teachers have the competencies needed to optimise student learning outcomes. In addition, an appropriate reward and incentive system can encourage teachers to achieve their best performance. The research also highlights the importance of creating a positive and collaborative work environment where teachers can support each other and innovate in their teaching practices. The findings from this study suggest that strategic and holistic HRM is able to bring about significant improvements in the quality of teaching and, overall, improve the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

This study explores the use of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method in evaluating educational programmes to improve the quality and effectiveness of educational institutions. BSC offers a holistic framework by integrating four perspectives-financial, customer, internal processes, and learning and growth-to assess overall performance. In the context of education, the use of BSC enables institutions to assess and align strategic objectives with day-to-day operational performance. The results of the analysis show that BSC implementation can improve accountability, transparency and focus on continuous improvement in educational settings. Despite some implementation challenges, such as the need for management commitment and a rigorous measurement system, BSC proved to be an effective tool in guiding educational strategies towards better outcomes. This study concludes that the adoption of the BSC approach can support educational institutions in facing future challenges and increasing value for all stakeholders.

Abstract

Effective classroom management is essential in creating a conducive and productive learning environment. Based on the principles of educational psychology, successful classroom management strategies include a deep understanding of individual student characteristics, the application of positive reinforcement techniques, and the provision of constructive feedback. In addition, establishing a safe and inclusive learning environment by setting clear rules and routines, as well as good time management, is essential to reduce disruptive behaviour and improve student concentration. This process should be dynamic and adaptive, requiring ongoing evaluation and reflection to keep the strategies relevant and effective. With a holistic and student-centred approach, teachers can improve student motivation, participation and learning outcomes, and create an optimal educational experience for all learners.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the performance of the Decision Tree and Random Forest algorithms in predicting student graduation based on academic data. By utilizing data such as Grade Point Average (GPA), the number of credit hours, and course grades, this study focuses on analyzing the accuracy of both algorithms in predicting students who are at risk of not graduating on time. The results of the study indicate that the Random Forest algorithm achieves higher accuracy compared to the Decision Tree, particularly in terms of recall and precision. While Decision Tree is simpler and easier to interpret, it tends to have overfitting issues that can affect prediction results. In contrast, Random Forest overcomes these issues by producing more stable predictions through an ensemble process. This study is expected to contribute to the development of student graduation prediction systems in educational institutions. As such, institutions can use these findings as a foundation for designing intervention strategies for students at risk of not graduating on time.

Abstract

Conflicts between labour and regional government continue to occur everywhere. One of the impacts is the problem of the achievement of Employment Social Security participation in Indonesia which is still very low. Data actually stated on November 2024 has only reached 30% of the government's target in 2024 which should have reached 60%. This study aims to explain how deliberation forums (deliberative) in Central Java significantly takes a strategic role in fostering public networking in decison making of labour insurance. By using descriptive-qualitative methods through studies of related policy documents and in-depth interviews with key officials in related agencies, it can be concluded that there are 2 models of deliberative governance in the formulation of labour protection policies that can be developed as an alternative to overcoming the problem of labour protection policy formulation, especially at the local government level. The first is the Elite model, namely policy deliberations managed through collaboration between actors from the government, especially between the executive, legislative and actors from the elements of the Employment Social Security organizers. Second, the “private” model of policy deliberation is a deliberation held collaboratively between actors from the labourur element and the social organization element. The “private” policy deliberation is much more democratic and autonomous, because each actor is free to build interaction patterns and communication flows that are increasingly productive. In brief, through the development of such a deliberative policy model, it has also proven to be a significant innovation in labour protection policies while being able to prevent destructive conflicts and disputes between workers and government in fighting for better labourur social insurance for a safer and more prosperous future for workers as a whole.

Abstract

The electoral system plays a vital role in determining the quality of a country's political governance and stability, which in turn affects the welfare of the people. The choice of system, whether proportional, majoritarian, or mixed, has implications for political representation and the accountability of the elected government. An effective system encourages political stability by ensuring fair representation and a non-centralised distribution of power. Strong political stability allows the government to focus on sustainable development policies, create a healthy investment climate, and improve public services, all of which are important for the welfare of the community. However, stability must be in harmony with inclusiveness so as not to marginalise certain groups and maintain the essence of democracy. The balance between political stability and inclusiveness is the key to ensuring sustainable development and equitable welfare across all levels of society.
