Abstract

The development of digital financial services has facilitated adolescents’ access to various financial products, including installment payment features and online lending services. However, this increasing accessibility is not always accompanied by adequate financial management skills, potentially leading to excessive consumption behavior and digital debt risks. This study aims to examine the existing literature on gamification-based financial literacy education as an approach to improving adolescents’ financial understanding and supporting their ability to navigate digital financial risks. A scoping review methodology was employed by analyzing 21 research articles focusing on financial literacy, digital financial risks, and the implementation of gamification in financial education. The findings indicate that while financial literacy plays an important role in developing responsible financial behavior, it needs to be strengthened through interactive learning experiences, enhanced self-control, and social support. Gamification-based educational approaches incorporating simulations, challenges, rewards, and interactive learning activities demonstrate potential in improving adolescents’ engagement and financial understanding in a sustainable manner. This study proposes the conceptual framework of “CuanEra” as an integrative approach that combines engaging financial education, digital risk awareness, and community support to strengthen adolescents’ financial resilience in the digital era.

Abstract

An accounting information system is a system that collects, records, processes, and stores data to generate information used for decision making. The effectiveness of accounting information systems is essential to support the achievement of organizational objectives. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effects of technological sophistication, management support, and personal technical competence on the effectiveness of accounting information systems at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Denpasar City. This study employed a quantitative research approach. Data were collected using a survey method by directly distributing questionnaires to 75 employees of the Denpasar City BPKAD as research respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that technological sophistication, management support, and personal technical competence have positive effects on the effectiveness of accounting information systems. These findings support the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model. From a practical perspective, the findings emphasize the importance of utilizing adequate technology, ensuring continuous management support, and strengthening personal technical competence to improve the effectiveness of accounting information systems.

Abstract

People with disabilities represent approximately sixteen percent of the global population, yet they continue to experience disproportionately high unemployment, lower incomes, and exclusion from mainstream economic life. Entrepreneurship has been proposed as an alternative or complementary pathway to economic empowerment, while digital transformation including artificial intelligence, digital platforms, mobile financial services, and assistive technologies may reduce barriers to economic participation. At the same time, unequal access, resources, and skills can reproduce or deepen exclusion. This study uses a descriptive literature review of thirty-one peer-reviewed articles published between 2021 and 2026. The literature was categorized by publication year, geographic context, research method, and thematic focus, then synthesized through descriptive and thematic analysis. The findings identify five interrelated mechanisms: the access, resource, and skills dimensions of the digital divide; organizational and technological readiness; digital-skills and AI training outcomes; digital financial inclusion; and AI, automation, and assistive technologies as both enabling and constraining forces. The review also identifies tension between individual entrepreneurial empowerment and broader structural change, as well as differences between high-income, low and middle-income contexts. The study provides a theory-grounded synthesis for inclusive digital entrepreneurship and identifies implications for policy, training, technology design, and future research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of leading sectors and economic diversification on the economic resilience of Bali Province. The study employs secondary data on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of nine regencies/municipalities in Bali Province for the 2015–2025 period, comprising a total of 99 observations. The analysis was conducted using the Location Quotient (LQ), the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), and panel data regression. The results indicate that leading sectors and economic diversification have significant effects on Bali Province’s economic resilience, both partially and simultaneously. These findings demonstrate that strengthening leading non-tourism sectors and effectively managing the economic structure are important components of enhancing Bali’s economic resilience in the face of economic shocks.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of social media marketing on purchase decisions with brand image as a mediating variable among Sura Konveksi consumers. The study involved 100 consumers from Bangli and Gianyar Regencies selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with descriptive statistics and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings showed that social media marketing had a positive and significant effect on both purchase decisions and brand image, while brand image also positively and significantly influenced purchase decisions. Furthermore, brand image partially mediated the relationship between social media marketing and purchase decisions, indicating that effective social media activities enhance consumer purchasing behavior by strengthening the company’s brand image. Theoretically, the study contributes to consumer behavior literature by demonstrating the mediating role of brand image in the relationship between social media marketing and purchase decisions. Practically, the findings suggest that Sura Konveksi should improve its brand identity and optimize social media marketing by creating engaging, informative, and identity-driven content to strengthen brand image and encourage higher consumer purchase decisions.

Abstract

Food security is a critical global and national issue, including in Indonesia. In the digital and post-truth era, late adolescents as digital natives and members of the pre-marriage age group require adequate information literacy to support food security. This study analyses the construction of food security meaning in relation to the information literacy of late adolescents in Lampung. Drawing on social constructivism, information literacy models, agenda-setting theory, and information processing theory, the study employed a mixed-method approach, primarily using quantitative analysis supplemented by observations and interviews. Data were collected from 100 adolescents aged 18–24 years across 11 regencies in Lampung Province. The results show that food security (mean = 2.9867) and information literacy (mean = 2.6557) were both in the moderate category. Adolescents were relatively capable of accessing and understanding food-related information but remained less critical in evaluating its accuracy. Their understanding of food security was also influenced more by parents and peers than by critical literacy. Information literacy significantly affected food security, although its contribution was small (r² = 0.0743), with a weak positive correlation (r = 0.2873). These findings emphasize the need for contextual information literacy education and youth-oriented digital food communication strategies.

Abstract

Firm value is the outcome of a series of activities and performance achievements attained by a company. It reflects the level of public and investor confidence in the company's ability to manage its operations and create favourable future prospects. This study aims to examine the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR), investment decisions, and profitability on the firm value of consumer non-cyclicals sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The research sample consisted of 20 companies selected using the purposive sampling method, resulting in a total of 100 observations over five years. The data were analysed using multiple linear regression through SPSS. The results indicate that CSR and profitability have a positive and significant effect on firm value, while investment decisions have a negative and significant effect on firm value. This study implies that companies need to enhance their CSR practices and profitability to increase their firm value in the eyes of investors. Furthermore, this study contributes to the development of the literature on the factors affecting firm value and may serve as a reference for future research.

Abstract

This study analyzes the response of local media in Lampung Province to the issue of food security through news. Using thematic analysis, this study examines news from seven local media—TVRI Lampung, Lampung Post, RMOL Lampung, Antara, Tribunlampung, Radar Lampung, and Konsentris—in the 2021–2025 period. The findings show a diverse framing pattern. Government media (TVRI Lampung and Antara) consistently frame food security as an issue that has been successfully addressed through government programs, emphasizing production and modernization, and limiting critical voices. Independent media (Lampung Post, Tribunlampung, RMOL Lampung, Radar Lampung, and Konsentris) present a more diverse frame, highlighting policy failures, farmers' difficulties, environmental crises, and structural poverty. This creates a fragmented public discourse, where audiences accessing different media have different understandings of the reality of food security. The media serves as information providers, policy watchdogs, community empowerment, government narrative balancers, and agents of social change. However, news is still descriptive, reactive, and event-focused, lacking in digging into the root causes of problems and long-term solutions. This study recommends increasing the depth and sustainability of news, diversifying sources, strengthening media independence, and cross-sector collaboration. Comparisons with global experiences in Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Algeria offer valuable lessons for strengthening the role of local media in food security communication.
