Abstract

This research explores the concept and role of prices in an economic context, with a focus on market urgency, dynamics in Islamic markets, and challenges and solutions in implementing pricing ethics. Combining literature studies and market analysis, this research outlines the role of prices as a market adjustment mechanism, resource allocation, income determinant, and indicator of economic health. In Islamic markets, the concept of pricing and competition is guided by sharia principles, emphasizing fairness, transparency and sustainability. Challenges in implementing ethical pricing, such as pressure for maximum profits and unhealthy competition, are overcome through solutions in the form of transparent pricing, attention to consumer welfare, and adaptation to market changes. The research also looks at the development of business ethics in Indonesia, which shows an increase in corporate awareness of social and ethical responsibility in managing business, especially in the context of fair and transparent pricing. In conclusion, this research provides in-depth insight into the concept of price, its role in the Islamic market, as well as the dynamics and development of business ethics in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Sedekah Bumi tradition in Bandung Kiri Village, Lubuklinggau City, has undergone significant transformation since it was first implemented in the 1970s. This article discusses how the tradition of welcoming the Javanese New Year (1 Suro) or Islamic New Year (1 Muharram), which was previously associated with mystical practices such as offering rituals, has evolved into a religious and prayer-centered Islamic activity. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with interview techniques involving local community leaders. Based on the theory of cultural acculturation, the transformation occurs through a process of adaptation between local traditions and Islamic values without eliminating social harmony. The findings show that the transformation of the Sedekah Bumi tradition has strengthened social solidarity, increased community participation, and strengthened relationships among residents.

Abstract

Continuity, trust, and partnership are essential components in the development of contemporary, woman-centered midwifery care. This study aims to analyze the importance of continuity of care, trust within the therapeutic relationship, and the partnership between midwives and women in supporting the quality of care and health outcomes for mothers and infants. The study employs a literature review approach, integrating various scientific findings regarding models of midwifery continuity of care, therapeutic communication, the midwife-woman relationship, shared decision-making, and woman-centered care. The review findings indicate that continuity of care enhances service consistency, strengthens communication, and fosters a sense of security throughout pregnancy, labor, the immediate postpartum period, and beyond. Trust forms the foundation of a therapeutic relationship that enables women to openly express their needs and concerns and participate in care-related decision-making. Meanwhile, partnership fosters a more equitable relationship by respecting women's experiences, needs, choices, and autonomy. Integrating these three aspects can create midwifery care that is more responsive, personalized, continuous, and oriented toward women's experiences. Successful implementation requires policy support, an adequate midwifery workforce, communication competence, interprofessional coordination, and an organizational environment that supports continuity of care. Thus, strengthening continuity, trust, and partnership serves as a crucial strategy for establishing high-quality, safe, and woman-centered contemporary midwifery care.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of product innovation in mediating the influence of market orientation on marketing performance among hand accessories MSMEs in Gianyar Regency. The method employs a quantitative causal design with a purposive sampling technique involving 50 artisans, analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that both market orientation and product innovation positively and significantly impact marketing performance, with product innovation serving as a strong partial mediator. Theoretically, these findings strengthen the Resource-Based View (RBV) paradigm in small businesses by proving product innovation acts as a dynamic capability that forms a competitive advantage from market insights. Practically, the study concludes that understanding consumer trends will not optimally boost profit without creative product execution. MSME owners are advised to actively enhance market sensitivity and routinely refresh visual designs, model variations, and material quality to maintain profitability amidst intense competition in Gianyar's creative industry.

Abstract

Background: Achalasia is an esophageal motility disorder characterized by abnormal peristalsis and insufficient relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter. Case Presentation: A 51-year-old male presented to the emergency room with dysphagia, nausea, vomiting, and a 30-kg weight loss over 1.5 years. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed Type II achalasia, while endoscopic biopsy identified a Type III hiatal hernia, with pathological examination demonstrating squamous hyperplasia. An esophagram showed achalasia involving the distal esophagus. A CT scan revealed esophageal dilatation at the level of the seventh thoracic vertebra (T7), measuring 4.6 × 2.5 cm. Intervention: The patient received nutritional support with a liquid diet and underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy followed by serial endoscopic balloon dilatation performed in three sessions. Balloon dilatation was carried out using a graded approach with progressive balloon diameters to reduce lower esophageal sphincter pressure while minimizing the risk of esophageal perforation. The patient was monitored clinically after each procedure, and no immediate procedure-related complications were observed. Out come: Following the final balloon dilatation session, the patient’s symptoms improved markedly. Dysphagia, nausea, and vomiting were significantly reduced, allowing progression from a liquid diet to a regular diet. The patient experienced weight gain and was able to resume normal daily activities. Conclusion: Following the third balloon dilatation session, the patient's symptoms improved markedly. Dysphagia, nausea, and vomiting, allowing progression from a liquid diet to a regular diet. The patient experienced weight gain and successfully resumed normal daily activities.
