Abstract

Land acquisition for development in the public interest plays an important role in infrastructure development; however, it may have adverse impacts on food security, livelihoods, social welfare, and the environment of affected communities. This study examines the impacts of land acquisition and land appropriation on local communities and explores how infrastructure development can be implemented fairly and inclusively to prevent environmental degradation and community marginalization. This study employs a normative juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The study relies on secondary data obtained through a literature review, comprising primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, which are analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach. The results indicate that land acquisition that is not implemented fairly and inclusively may lead to the loss of productive land, declining food security, disruption of livelihoods, and increased socioeconomic vulnerability and community conflicts. Therefore, infrastructure planning and development should incorporate the principles of justice, transparency, participation, and inclusivity while taking into account community protection and environmental sustainability. Accordingly, land acquisition must be able to balance development interests with the protection of rights, community welfare, and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

The increasing number of new industries has intensified business competition in Indonesia. These developments have attracted investors to invest in companies. Firm value is an important factor that investors need to consider before making investment decisions because it can reflect a company’s performance. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, capital structure, and firm age on firm value. The study was conducted on food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample was determined using the purposive sampling method, resulting in 192 observations. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that profitability has a positive effect on firm value, capital structure has a positive effect on firm value, and firm age has a positive effect on firm value. The theoretical implications indicate that the findings of this study support signaling theory and trade-off theory. The practical implications of this study provide information that can assist investors in making investment decisions by taking firm value into consideration.

Abstract

The growing use of social media as a digital marketing channel has encouraged creative service providers to leverage content to introduce and build their brands among consumers. The phenomenon observed at Sevencutsmedia indicates that the use of Instagram as a marketing platform has contributed to improved sales performance; however, high audience engagement with its content has not always been accompanied by an increase in demand for its services. This condition highlights the importance of understanding the role of content marketing in building brand awareness and fostering consumer purchase intention. This study aims to analyze the effect of content marketing on purchase intention and examine the role of brand awareness in mediating the effect of content marketing on purchase intention at Sevencutsmedia in Jakarta. This study employs a quantitative approach using a causal-associative research method. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that content marketing has a positive and significant effect on brand awareness. Content marketing also has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, brand awareness has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. The mediation analysis demonstrates that brand awareness mediates the effect of content marketing on purchase intention. These findings indicate that the higher the quality of the content marketing presented by Sevencutsmedia, the greater the brand awareness generated and the stronger consumers’ intention to purchase the services offered.

Abstract

Increasing competition in the fashion industry, particularly in the custom tailoring segment, requires businesses to focus not only on product quality but also on building consumer trust to maintain customer loyalty. King’s Tailor is a custom fashion business that prioritizes product quality by ensuring that designs, materials, and tailoring outcomes meet consumer needs. Nevertheless, further efforts are required to strengthen strategies aimed at encouraging customers’ repurchase intentions. This present study aims to explain the role of brand trust in mediating the effect of product quality on repurchase intention among King’s Tailor consumers in Denpasar City. Data were collected through an online survey involving a sample of 100 respondents who were consumers of King’s Tailor in Denpasar City. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling method. To test the hypotheses, the data were analyzed using path analysis. The results indicate that product quality positively and significantly influences both repurchase intention and brand trust. Moreover, brand trust has a positive and statistically significant effect on repurchase intention. The results further confirm that brand trust plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between product quality and repurchase intention. These findings indicate that high product quality not only directly encourages repurchase intention but also enhances consumers’ brand trust, which ultimately strengthens their repurchase decisions. The implications of this study suggest that King’s Tailor needs to consistently maintain and improve product quality while building brand trust, so that consumers are not only satisfied but are also encouraged to make repeat purchases on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

TikTok's development as a space for visual expression has helped shape how Generation Z women represent themselves and perceive fashion in their everyday lives. Fashion content presented through endorsement videos, such as outfit of the day (OOTD), get ready with me (GRWM), and haul videos, functions not only as a medium for product promotion but also constructs idealised images of women through clothing styles, silhouettes, colours, materials, branding, and styling techniques. These representations create a form of hyperreality in which fashion images presented in digital spaces are perceived as ideal references for appearance and identity formation. This study aims to analyse the hyperreality of women’s images constructed through fashion content on TikTok and examine how Generation Z women perceive these representations. This research uses a qualitative approach, drawing on representation theory and Jean Baudrillard’s concept of hyperreality as its main analytical framework. Data were collected by analysing fashion videos on TikTok and administering questionnaires to Generation Z women. The findings indicate that TikTok fashion content constructs images of women through curated, aesthetic, and repetitive visual representations, thereby establishing standards of appearance and lifestyles that appear ideal and realistic. These images then function as identity symbols and fashion references for Generation Z women, while also being linked to symbolic and repetitive patterns of fashion consumption. This study demonstrates that TikTok functions not merely as a medium for disseminating fashion information but also as a space for producing and reproducing the hyperreality of women’s images within digital culture.

Abstract

Chronic conditions require ongoing self-management by patients. Nurses are in a strategic position to enhance self-management capacity through structured, evidence-based interventions. The aim of this study was to examine the role of nurses in enhancing self-management among patients with chronic conditions through a literature review. The method used was a literature review. The results of the study indicate that two main dimensions of the nurse’s role were identified: (1) as an educator and facilitator of behavioural change through personalised education, motivational interviewing, goal-setting and action planning; (2) as a coordinator and monitor of continuous care through transitional care, clinical monitoring, referral coordination, medication reconciliation and individualised care plans. Nursing interventions significantly improved self-efficacy, medication adherence, clinical control and quality of life, whilst reducing readmissions and A&E visits. In conclusion, nurses play a critical dual role in enhancing the self-management of patients with chronic conditions. Comprehensive, evidence-based nursing interventions yield better clinical outcomes. Investment is required in nursing education, standard protocols and policy reform to optimise this contribution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse and describe the application of da’wah psychology in formulating effective religious communication strategies for Generation Z in the digital age. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach utilising literature review and the phenomenology of digital media. Informants and data sources include observers of religious communication, digital da’wah practitioners (religious content creators), and representatives of Generation Z who actively engage with religious content on social media. Data collection techniques comprised digital observation, in-depth interviews and documentation, whilst data analysis utilised the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, methodological triangulation, member checking, dependability and confirmability. The research findings indicate that the implementation of digital da’wah psychology for Generation Z is carried out through four main stages: content strategy planning, the execution of persuasive communication, the evaluation of perceptual and behavioural impacts, and the identification of supporting and inhibiting factors. Planning was carried out by mapping the psychological profile of Generation Z, their cognitive characteristics, and levels of existential anxiety (FoMO, burnout, identity crisis). The delivery of religious communication took place in a personalised, non-doctrinal, and empathetic manner through short-form audio-visual content that combined the principles of the elaboration likelihood model and self-determination theory. Evaluation is carried out on an ongoing basis using parameters such as engagement rates, emotional responses, and reflections on changes in religious attitudes. Supporting factors include the availability of digital platforms, accessibility of information, and Gen Z’s openness to issues of spiritual and mental health. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include a short attention span, the ‘echo chamber’ phenomenon, algorithmic bias, and high resistance to a judgemental style of da’wah. Psychological da’wah strategies have proven to be effective in bridging normative religious values with the psychological needs of Generation Z through a relevant, empathetic, and humanistic communication approach.
