Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in Indonesia is an important part of the effort to improve the quality of education in schools. Teachers play a vital role in the success of this curriculum implementation, as they are not only responsible for teaching but also for developing students' skills, knowledge, and character in accordance with the curriculum's demands. However, during its implementation, teachers face various challenges, such as changes in teaching methods, a deep understanding of the new curriculum, and limitations in facilities and available training. This article aims to discuss the role of teachers in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum and the challenges they face in the learning process. In addition, this article also explores several solutions that can be applied to address these issues. These solutions include improving the quality of teacher training, providing better resources, and utilizing technology in the teaching and learning process. With the right solutions, it is expected that the role of teachers can be optimized and the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum can be more effective, ultimately achieving high-quality education.

Abstract

Economic growth and poverty rates are the primary indicators of regional development, which are heavily influenced by price stability, employment absorption, and the community's education level in inland regions. In Intan Jaya Regency, macro poverty issues and fluctuations in economic growth remain major challenges faced by the local government due to geographical isolation and imported inflation. This study aims to analyze the effects of inflation, employment opportunities, and poverty rates in Intan Jaya Regency. The approach used is a causal associative quantitative method with secondary time series data consisting of 15 observations from 2011 to 2025. The data collection method was conducted through non-participant observation. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis. The results show that inflation has a positive and significant effect, employment opportunities have a positive and insignificant effect, while education level has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in Intan Jaya Regency. Toward the poverty rate, inflation has a negative and significant effect, while employment opportunities, education level, and economic growth have a positive and insignificant effect. Furthermore, inflation, employment opportunities, and education levels have an insignificant indirect effect on the poverty rate through economic growth in Intan Jaya Regency. These findings imply the importance of integrated policies focusing on the sustainable fulfillment of the air cargo transportation subsidy scheme for the Nabire–Sugapa route, the budget reorientation of the minimum 20 percent mandatory education function toward boarding schools and vocational curriculum, as well as agrarian labor-intensive project interventions. This policy synergy is crucial to accelerate poverty reduction, enhance local production capacity, expand inter-district connectivity, and maintain a conducive regional security stability in Intan Jaya Regency.
