Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the thematic learning approach in elementary schools within the Merdeka Curriculum. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes student-centered learning, flexibility in teaching strategies, and the development of competencies through meaningful learning experiences. The thematic learning approach is considered relevant for elementary school students because it integrates several subjects into a unified theme that is closely related to students’ daily lives. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were collected through the analysis of various sources such as books, research articles, scientific journals, and educational policy documents related to thematic learning and the Merdeka Curriculum. The data were analyzed through several stages including data reduction, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of relevant theories. The results of the study indicate that thematic learning supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum because it promotes meaningful learning, improves students’ critical thinking skills, encourages collaboration, and strengthens character education through the integration of the Pancasila Student Profile. Thematic learning also helps teachers integrate different subjects in a more contextual and engaging way.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Concept Attainment learning model in improving elementary school students’ understanding of science concepts. The Concept Attainment model, developed by Jerome S. Bruner, emphasizes inductive thinking processes through the presentation of examples and non-examples so that students can independently discover a concept. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method involving fifth-grade elementary school students as research subjects. Data were collected through concept understanding tests administered before and after the treatment, as well as classroom observations. The results indicate that the implementation of the Concept Attainment model significantly improves students’ understanding of science concepts compared to conventional teaching methods. Students became more active in identifying concept characteristics, classifying information, and drawing conclusions independently. Therefore, the Concept Attainment learning model is effective as an alternative instructional strategy in elementary science education to enhance students’ conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the social interaction model in improving communication and collaboration skills of elementary school students. The social interaction model is a learning approach that emphasizes students’ active involvement through interaction, discussion, and group work. The implementation of this model is carried out through group formation, collaborative tasks, discussions, and presentations of group work. The results show that the social interaction model has a positive impact on students, particularly in improving their confidence in speaking, ability to express ideas, and teamwork skills. In addition, this model also fosters social attitudes such as respect, tolerance, and responsibility. Therefore, the application of the social interaction model can create an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the PAIKEM learning model (Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, and Enjoyable Learning) in elementary schools by analyzing the gap between its theoretical foundations and classroom implementation. The method used is a literature review of various references including journals, books, and educational policy documents related to PAIKEM. The findings indicate that theoretically, PAIKEM is designed to create a student-centered learning environment that promotes active engagement, creativity, and meaningful learning. However, in practice, classroom implementation still faces numerous obstacles such as limited teacher competence, inadequate facilities, and a teacher-centered learning culture. This study concludes that strengthening teacher capacity through continuous training and concrete policy support is essential for optimal implementation of PAIKEM at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) is an innovative learning approach that is oriented towards developing students' critical thinking skills, problem solving and learning independence. This research aims to examine the concept, implementation, advantages, challenges and relevance of problem-based learning with the Independent Curriculum in Elementary Schools. The research method used is library research by collecting and analyzing various relevant literature sources, such as books and scientific journals. The results of the study show that PBL is able to increase student involvement in learning, deepen understanding of concepts, and develop higher order thinking skills. Apart from that, PBL also supports the development of cooperation, communication and independent learning skills through the presentation of contextual problems. However, in its implementation there are still several obstacles, such as limited teacher readiness, limited time allocation, characteristics of elementary school students, as well as limited facilities and infrastructure. On the other hand, PBL has strong relevance to the Independent Curriculum because it is in line with the principles of student-centered learning and strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. Thus, problem-based learning can be an effective alternative learning strategy in improving the quality of education in elementary schools if it is supported by careful planning and adequate teacher competence.

Abstract

Values in education are fundamental principles that play a crucial role in shaping students’ attitudes, behaviors, and character. These values include religious, moral, social, aesthetic, scientific, and cultural aspects that are interconnected in developing a well-rounded personality. The role of values in education is essential in fostering students who are morally upright, responsible, disciplined, and able to live harmoniously within society. The success of value implementation is influenced by collaboration among schools, teachers, families, and the broader environment. Values are applied through learning processes, habituation, and teachers’ role modeling in daily school life. With consistent implementation, education not only produces intellectually capable students but also individuals with strong character who can contribute positively to society.

Abstract

Value education is an essential process in education that aims to help learners understand, internalize, and apply moral, ethical, and social values in their daily lives. It emphasizes not only cognitive development but also the formation of attitudes and behaviors. Essentially, education is a lifelong process and serves as a primary means of developing human potential as individuals, social beings, and spiritual beings. Through value education, individuals are guided to understand themselves, develop their abilities, and build a balanced personality encompassing physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual aspects. Therefore, value education plays a significant role in character building, enhancing moral awareness, and guiding individuals to make wise decisions in order to achieve a harmonious life in society.

Abstract

Value education is an essential process in shaping individuals’ character, morality, and personality so they can act in accordance with societal values. It emphasizes not only the acquisition of knowledge but also the internalization and application of values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, tolerance, and social awareness in daily life. In diverse societies, value education plays a strategic role as a social cohesive force that fosters harmony, peace, and mutual respect. The values developed include religious, social, cultural, political, economic, and scientific aspects to create a civilized, productive, and democratic society. The success of value education requires collaboration among family, school, and society as key environments for instilling and practicing values. Therefore, value education is expected to produce a generation that is responsible, ethical, and capable of contributing positively to the nation and society.

Abstract

Value education is an essential component of the educational process that focuses not only on knowledge development but also on shaping students’ character and personality. Through value education, learners are guided to understand, internalize, and apply positive values derived from religion, culture, and social norms in their daily lives. Educational institutions play a strategic role in instilling these values through learning activities, teacher role modeling, school culture, and extracurricular programs. The implementation of value education involves various methods such as modeling, habituation, discussion, advice, and reinforcement of positive behavior. Its success is influenced by the active involvement of all members of the school community in creating a supportive environment. With continuous implementation, value education is expected to produce students who are morally upright, responsible, disciplined, and socially aware, while also contributing to a harmonious society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of product quality, halal labeling, and word of mouth on consumers' purchasing decisions regarding HNI-HPAI products among the community of Galing District. The increasing public awareness of halal products and the demand for high-quality products have become important factors influencing consumers' purchasing decisions. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The study involved 50 respondents selected through a probability sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The findings indicate that product quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t = 2.150; p < 0.05). Halal labeling also has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t = 1.970; p < 0.05). Furthermore, word of mouth exerts a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions (t = 1.781; p < 0.05). These findings suggest that better product quality, clearer halal certification, and positive interpersonal communication significantly enhance consumers' likelihood of purchasing HNI-HPAI products. The study provides practical implications for companies to improve product quality, strengthen halal certification, and optimize word-of-mouth marketing strategies in order to increase consumers' purchasing decisions
