Abstract

Rice production can be increased through improvements in the planting system and the number of seeds per planting hole. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of planting distance in a 2:1 legowo planting system. The study was conducted at BPSIP Naibonat NTT from March to April 2024. The experimental design used was a Randomised Block Design (RBD) with a legowo 2:1 planting system, consisting of 3 treatments: 20 x 10 x 40 cm (j1), 20 x 15 x 40 cm (j2), and 20 x 20 x 40 cm (j3), each with 3 replications, with each replicate consisting of 3 treatments, resulting in 9 treatments in total. The results showed that the 2:1 legowo planting distance with a spacing of 20 x 20 x 40 cm improved rice plant growth and yield, with the best effect on plant height at 103 cm, panicle length at 23.5 cm, and the best effect on plant height at 103 cm, number of tillers per clump 17.33 tillers, between the legowo 2:1 planting distance which was the best for the plant height parameter with a value of 103 cm, number of tillers per clump with an average of 17.33 tillers, number of productive tillers per clump 16.33 tillers, and number of grains per panicle with an average of 137.33 grains.

Abstract

Poverty is a multidimensional problem that not only affects economic aspects but also has serious implications for the social, political, and quality of development in a region. In East Nusa Tenggara Province, poverty remains a major challenge for complex and sustainable regional development. The high poverty rate in this region is often associated with suboptimal labour market conditions, low levels of education, and minimum wages that do not fully reflect the cost of living. Therefore, an in-depth study is needed to determine the extent to which these factors influence poverty levels at the district/city level. This study aims to analyse the influence of the variables of labour force size, education level, and district minimum wage (UMK) on poverty levels in 22 districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province from 2019 to 2024. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The data analysed are panel data, consisting of a combination of cross-sectional data from 22 districts/cities and time-series data from 2019 to 2024, resulting in a total of 132 observations. To obtain accurate analysis results, a panel data regression model with a random effect model (REM) approach was used, selected based on the results of the Hausman test. The analysis results indicate that simultaneously, the three independent variables, namely labour force, education level, and district minimum wage, have a significant impact on the poverty rate of districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province. Partially, the variables of labour force and education level have a negative and significant impact, meaning that an increase in the number of absorbed labour force and an increase in the education level of the community will reduce the poverty rate. Similarly, the minimum wage in the district also has a negative and significant effect on poverty, indicating that an increase in the minimum wage contributes to a decrease in the number of poor people, especially in districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province.

Abstract

He loss of philosophical essence in the management of Kasang Kulim Zoo tourism and is often considered only as a place of recreation and amusement park, resulting in managers prioritizing commercial aspects without considering and clarifying the values of animal conservation education. This paper aims to restore the essence and improve the quality of Kasang Kulim Zoo tourism management and maintain culture and biodiversity. The method used includes four main steps including: Identification of the Current Business Model Canvas (BMC), SWOT Analysis, Implementation of the BOS Strategy Canvas, and the Four-Step Framework (Eliminate-Raise-Reduce-Create). The results show that an effective system to restore and strengthen the essence of Kasang Kulim Zoo tourism requires a redefinition of the visitor segmentation element in tourism, by making tourists, animal lovers and researchers the main focus. The right visitor segmentation is able to build an appropriate and measurable value proposition, so that it can influence other elements to operate more effectively and efficiently in increasing awareness of animal conservation education without reducing or disrupting the values of Kasang Kulim Zoo tourism as a conservation institution.

Abstract

Poverty is a social ill in society. The government has made strenuous efforts to implement work programs to address this issue. However, these efforts have not yet addressed the problems faced by the community in a comprehensive manner. No country expects its people to live in poverty. Therefore, one necessary action is to implement food production, a process in which humans survived by raising livestock and farming. To understand food production better, in this study, the author explored food production activities using qualitative methods, using reliable sources from books, articles, interviews, and the internet. The study concluded that the problem of poverty in society can be resolved by learning from food production, a process in which humans learned to farm and raise livestock. The government is obligated to provide support to its citizens by distributing plant seeds and livestock.

Abstract

This type of research is conducted using a qualitative field method (field research). The research approach used in this study is a qualitative observation approach, The research design used is a qualitative approach, Data collection methods used in this study include: Interviews, Observations, Documentation. This study analyzes the development strategy of seaweed MSMEs in Ujung Baji Village based on a SWOT analysis. The results show that strengthening competitive advantages such as clean waters, fast harvest cycles, and high carrageenan content can be the foundation for competing in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and export markets. However, challenges such as limited capital, traditional technology, dependence on raw materials, and threats of market competition and environmental damage hinder optimal potential. Strategic solutions include modernization of cultivation, diversification of processed products, HR training, organic certification, and digital marketing. Multi-party collaboration (government, private sector, MSMEs) and ongoing assistance are needed to increase added value, reduce dependence on middlemen, and create a sustainable value chain. Although the existing strategy is right, more concrete implementation and long-term commitment are still needed to achieve inclusive and competitive economic transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the State Attorney (JPN) in negotiating civil dispute settlements through non-litigation mechanisms at the Buleleng District Prosecutor’s Office. The research focuses on legal assistance requested by Pegadaian and BPJS Kesehatan due to payment defaults by debtors. Using an empirical legal approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and document studies. The findings reveal that JPN has the authority to represent the state or government in civil cases based on a Special Power of Attorney (SKK). In practice, the negotiations conducted by JPN have produced mutually beneficial outcomes; however, their implementation has not been fully optimal as some business entities fail to comply with negotiated agreements. The study recommends enhancing JPN's preventive and persuasive roles to improve the effectiveness of non-litigation dispute resolution and to reinforce the function of legal mediation in ensuring justice and legal certainty for all parties involved.

Abstract

This paper explores the symbol of bread in Christian theology as an entry point to reflect on the relationship between the body, faith, and the sustainability of life. Bread is not merely food but also a sign of divine provision, the fellowship of believers, and the presence of Christ in the world. This research employs a literature review method by examining biblical sources, classical theological reflections such as the thoughts of John Calvin, and contemporary developments in food justice discourse. The symbolism of bread is analyzed across various dimensions: as a basic human need, a theological act in the Eucharist, a symbol of the unity of Christ’s body, and its meaning within socio-ecological contexts. Amid global food crises and unequal distribution, theological reflection on bread challenges the church and believers to embody a grounded faith, compassion, and active participation in defending shared human dignity. This paper offers the perspective that eating is not merely a physical act, but a theological one that unites the body, love, and justice.
