Abstract

Childbirth is a physiological state experienced by everyone. However, these physiological conditions become pathological when the mother does not know these physiological conditions and helpers or nurses do not understand how physiological delivery should be and how to manage it in such a way as to reduce maternal mortality. The purpose of this study is how the factors that influence pregnant women in giving birth at health facilities and what the opinion of the mother's knowledge about it. By scanning the Google Scholar database for the terms "Knowledge," "Education," and "Selection of delivery site," the literature study research method with a systematic review design based on descriptive analysis, resulted in a literature review journal. The type of data used by the author in this study is secondary data. Several studies yielded positive results for this study, and it is clear that there is a correlation with the knowledge of pregnant women. According to the findings of this study, we received information that there are still many mothers who choose to give birth in a place that is not a puskesmas, namely at home, where deliveries at a puskesmas should be better done in a health facility because they can be handled better and serve patients who are pregnant

Abstract

Syphilis is an STI (sexually transmitted infection) which causes quite severe conditions, such as brain infection (neurosyphilis), bodily defects (guma). In the population of pregnant women who are infected with syphilis, if not treated adequately, it will cause 67% of pregnancies to end in abortion, stillbirth, or neonatal infection (congenital syphilis). The method used in this research is library research or library research. The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 20,783 reported cases of syphilis infection in 2022. This number has increased significantly from the 2018 case reports which recorded 12,484 cases. Syphilis has also been reported to have increased in the last 5 years (2016- 2022). important in prevention, includes the management of the PPIA program which includes processes, planning, implementation, organizing, monitoring and evaluation as well as program recording and reporting. All of these processes are carried out at all levels in accordance with the authorities at each level

Abstract

Empowerment of coastal communities is an important effort in improving welfare and health services in the region. One effective approach in empowering coastal communities is through the implementation of the Healthy Family Program with a family approach (PIS-PK). The Healthy Family Program is a program that focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, and increasing access to health services for coastal communities. The family approach in this program recognizes the important role of the family as the smallest unit in society and promotes active participation of the family in health-related decision making. Through PIS-PK, coastal communities are encouraged to become agents of change in maintaining and improving the health of their families and communities. This program involves training, health education, and social support to increase public knowledge and awareness about the importance of good health practices. In addition, PIS-PK also focuses on disease prevention by prioritizing a healthy lifestyle, such as a balanced diet, sufficient physical activity, and clean and healthy living habits. This program also provides better accessibility to health services, both through improving health facilities in coastal areas and through advocating for affordable and quality health services. With the implementation of the Healthy Family Program with a family approach (PIS-PK), it is hoped that there will be an increase in sustainable health services in coastal communities. Communities will become more aware of the importance of health and play an active role in maintaining family and community health. In addition, empowering coastal communities can also reduce health disparities between coastal areas and other areas. Therefore, there is a need for strong support from the government, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders in the implementation of the Healthy Families Program with a family approach (PIS-PK). This support includes the allocation of adequate resources, training of health workers, advocacy of supportive health policies, and active community participation in program planning and evaluation. Thus, PIS-PK can be a concrete step in improving health services and welfare of coastal communities. This program not only provides immediate health benefits to the community, but also produces positive changes in people's mindset and behavior related to health

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of clean water and proper sanitation in maintaining public health. The research aims to identify issues related to water sources and sanitation and their impact on skin health. Data collection methods included field observations and interviews with selected respondents. The findings reveal that a significant portion of the community in this area lacks access to adequate fecal disposal facilities. Toilets and sanitation facilities are often built along riverbanks, directly flowing into the sea. Moreover, the use of contaminated water sources, such as untreated river water, increases the risk of skin diseases. In terms of education, the majority of the community has primary-level education, with the primary occupation being fishing. In conclusion, poor sanitation and limited access to clean water significantly affect community health. Skin disorders and other environment-related illnesses are considered common. Therefore, the author recommends several steps to improve access to clean water and proper sanitation. These steps include enhancing clean water infrastructure, raising public awareness about personal hygiene, conducting regular water quality monitoring, constructing hygienic sanitation facilities, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. This study is expected to provide a better understanding of the issues surrounding clean water and sanitation in the context of public health. The research findings can serve as a basis for planning and implementing programs aimed at improving access to clean water and proper sanitation, thus enabling communities to live in a healthy environment and prevent diseases

Abstract

Malaria is a type of infectious disease which is a public health problem today. Malaria is rarely transmitted due to physical contact from one person to another, but malaria is an infectious disease that can be transmitted through mosquito bites or can be infected through blood transfusions. According to WHO, Indonesia is a country that has a high prevalence of malaria. The annual morbidity rate of malaria is based on the results laboratory examination, namely per 1000 population. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to malaria prevention behavior in coastal areas. This type of research is a systematic review which is carried out by collecting, selecting and reviewing scientific articles that have topics that are relevant to the research objectives. The variables in this study are the level of knowledge, attitude, level of education, and type of work. This research is a secondary research with the type of research literature review. There are 10 research articles that are in accordance with thetopic of malaria, research related to the variables studied which were obtained from the results of submissions through Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct. Based on the results of a review of research articles, it was found that as many as 1 (10%) stated that there was no relationship between knowledge and malaria prevention behavior, as many as 2 (25%) research articles which stated that there was no relationship between type of work and malaria prevention behavior, as many as 2 (25%) 20.2%) of articles stated that there was no relationship between education level and malaria prevention behavior, as many as 1 (10%) articles stated that there was no relationship between respondents' attitudes and malaria prevention behavior. While as many as 5 (50.5%) articles stated that there was a relationship between knowledge and malaria prevention behavior, and as many as 4 (60.5%) research articles which stated that there was a significant relationship between type of work and malaria prevention behavior, as many as 3 (55.5%) %) of research articles which stated that the majority of people with highereducation levels performed malaria prevention behavior well, as many as 5 (60.5%) articles which stated that there was a relationship between respondents' attitudes and malaria prevention behavior in the community

Abstract

Healthy latrines are latrines that meet building criteria and health requirements. The health requirements in question are not causing the spread of materials that are harmful to humans due to the disposal of human waste and can prevent carrier vectors from spreading disease to users and the surrounding environment. This research method is Systematic Review. by collecting literature sources from scientific journals or scientific papers published in the last five years and using electronic databases such as: Open Science Framework/OSF, Medline/Pubmed, Google Scholar and Google Scholar. The purpose of this literature study is to find out what factors influence the health status of coastal communities in owning healthy latrines. Based on the results and discussion, the education level of the people in coastal areas is mostly low, namely at the elementary-junior high school education level, which can lead to a lack of public knowledge about healthy latrines. At the income level there is a relationship between opinion and ownership of healthy latrines, in which the income of coastal communities is still lacking, low income and income that is still below the UMR, at the level of knowledge more knowledge is not good and towards attitudes there is a relationship between attitudes and ownership healthy latrines. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between education level, income, knowledge and attitudes towards owning healthy latrines  which  can  affect  the  health  status  of  coastal communities
