Abstract

Educators widely use Classroom Action Research (C.A.R.) to improve teaching quality. In its process, effectively analyzing and interpreting data becomes crucial to generating valid and relevant findings. However, many teachers still need help with analyzing and interpreting C.A.R. data. This article discusses practical ways to analyze and interpret C.A.R. data so teachers can better understand it. The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis. The results from the literature review and examination of C.A.R. reports show several C.A.R. data collection techniques, including interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Meanwhile, interviews with teachers who have conducted C.A.R. revealed that C.A.R. data analysis techniques are divided into two types: quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. Every piece of data analyzed requires interpretation to understand the obtained data properly. Applying appropriate strategies in managing C.A.R. data can lead to more accurate and applicable interpretations. This can support more effective decision-making as part of efforts to improve learning. The implication of this study is the development of a practical guide, complete with examples, for conducting C.A.R. data analysis and interpretation, which teachers and other education practitioners can use.

Abstract

This research discusses the impact of the habituation agenda on improving training services at B.D.K. Ambon. A qualitative descriptive study was conducted in 2024 for 8 CPNS BDK Ambon as L.A.T.S.A.R.’s participants to explain the implementation of the habituation agenda to actualize the fundamental values of civil servants, namely A.N.E.K.A. The research examines how the habituation agenda was implemented and whether it impacted improving training services. Both primary and secondary data sources are the foundation of the research method, which includes data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation, as well as analysis techniques starting from data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The result indicates that the habituation agenda of 8 LATSAR CPNS BDK Ambon in 2021 acted as a process of instilling the fundamental values of civil servants, A.N.E.K.A., for 30 days at B.D.K. Ambon according to the actualization plan, which included three activities: scope in S.K.P., leader’s assignments and self-initiatives innovations to support training services. In general, the habituation agenda impacted enhancing the skills of civil servants in mastering technology due to the socialization activities and technology mastery training, namely the similar application, online training, and assessments, which contributes to a new working Culture based on information technology that improves training services. In particular, the impact of this agenda was able to enhance aspects of behavior, skills, and system transformation, as the training committee is greatly assisted by the availability of several guidebooks, manuals, and tutorial videos regarding the Simdiklat application, Online training, and the trainers’ assessment application. The employees of B.D.K. Ambon are also helped to use the E-kinerja application easily.

Abstract

This article examines the role of Islamic school principals in implementing the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) program. Employing a qualitative research approach that focuses on words and sentences, the study utilizes descriptive research to offer insights into the social context or to explore and clarify specific phenomena. The findings show that: 1) The Islamic school principals have a high level of enthusiasm for implementing Merdeka Belajar in Islamic Schools; 2) Islamic School principals play a critical role in delivering the Merdeka Belajar program within Islamic Schools, and the successful dissemination of this educational program largely depends on how intensively the principal communicates Merdeka Belajar within their Islamic Schools, 3) Islamic Schools principals believe that the socialization process, training, and technical guidance for the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) program need to adhere to guidelines set by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Religious Affairs; 4) Only a limited number of Islamic Schools have implemented Merdeka Belajar; 5) IT resources and teachers' proficiency in IT are still very limited. Therefore, in addressing challenges with the Merdeka Belajar implementation in Islamic Schools, principals play an active role in applying related educational programs. It is advised that relevant authorities (Head of the Islamic Schools Education Section) offer both theoretical and practical support to principals and teachers regarding Merdeka Belajar.

Abstract

This article explores the contribution of the philosophy of science in the development of Islamic education management through a qualitative approach and literature analysis. The literature sources used come from various journals, books, and relevant academic documents, with selections that consider credibility and relevance to the topic. Although it does not use the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method or meta-analysis, this study includes sufficient references to support its argument. The main findings show that the philosophy of science contributes to three important aspects. First, the philosophy of science built a systematic framework of thinking that allows the management of Islamic education to be carried out in a more planned and effective manner. Second, Islamic values are integrated with modern management theory, resulting in an efficient and ethical management model. Third, the philosophy of science provides a moral basis in education management, emphasizing the importance of values such as justice and responsibility in decision-making. Thus, the philosophy of science is very significant in answering the challenges of Islamic educational institutions in the contemporary era and strengthening the commitment to the moral values that underlie Islamic education.

Abstract

Blended learning is an innovative approach in higher education that integrates online and face-to-face instruction to enhance flexibility and student engagement. This study aims to examine the implementation of the blended learning model at Universitas Islam Labuhan Batu (UNISLA) and to evaluate its impact on student participation, academic achievement, and the challenges encountered during its application. A qualitative research method was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, surveys, and document analysis involving students and lecturers. The findings reveal that implementing blended learning significantly enhances student engagement by offering diverse learning media and encouraging active participation in the learning process. Furthermore, students’ academic performance improved due to the flexibility in accessing learning materials at their own pace, which supports better comprehension and retention. However, the study also identifies several challenges, particularly the limited availability of digital infrastructure and uneven internet access, which hinder the full integration of online learning. These findings highlight the importance of institutional support and the strengthening of technological infrastructure to optimize the effectiveness of blended learning in higher education settings. This study contributes to the growing literature on digital learning in Indonesia and offers practical insights for educational institutions seeking to design adaptive and sustainable learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to explore digital habitus and the transformation of social interaction in the use of smartphones among students at MAN 2 Model Mataram. The approach is a mixed method, combining quantitative and qualitative methods through a case study design. Data collection instruments include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results show that smartphone usage among students is very high, with 56.5% frequently using them at school and 88.9% accessing non-academic content during class hours. Although most students claim to use smartphones for studying, many also use them for entertainment and social media, affecting their concentration and leading to peer pressure. This repeated usage forms a digital habitus, a new dispositional pattern that replaces direct social interaction with screen-based interaction. As a result, social relationships among students become more individualistic and weaken collective values within the school environment. The main contribution of this research lies in strengthening the concept of digital habitus within the educational context and highlighting the importance of digital literacy as a strategy for character development in the technological era. The study recommends that school policies not only restrict but also guide technology’s ethical and educational use.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) is a government policy that must be adopted by training institutions so that changes are needed in planning, implementation, and post-training evaluation. This study analyzes planning, implementation, and evaluation based on Merdeka belajar. This research method is a literature review, where data is obtained from journals and book references related to Merdeka belajar. The findings show that (1) Merdeka-Belajar-based training planning is oriented towards the needs of training participants identified by training institutions, then categorized into very much needed, reasonably needed, and not required activities. (2) The implementation of Merdeka-belajar-based training can be seen in one of the supervisor leadership training programs, where the main requirement is that participants must prepare change actions. The concept of merdeka-belajar-based training management gives training participants the freedom to be creative and innovative to make office activities effective and efficient. 3) Evaluation of merdeka-belajar-based training can be seen in activities involving stakeholders in preparing training programs, providing opportunities for stakeholders to provide input related to obstacles and problems in participating in training.
