Abstract

As the transportation system continues to improve and competition between transportation modes increases, the number of public transport passengers will continue to increase, causing congestion. Congestion, both natural and human-induced, is a factor that greatly affects the efficiency of the transportation system. In this article, traffic flow on a highway often causes congestion due to the presence of passing vehicles, which can result in an increase in the number of vehicles using the highway, resulting in congestion. A poorly designed transportation system can cause vehicle queues on the highway. The vehicle congestion that occurs on the highway is not the congestion that occurs on the server, so the problem of vehicle congestion cannot be solved only by congestion theory methods. This shows that the system under study is a complex system. The complexity of the problem in modeling the system shows the need for a simulation model. This article presents a simulation model of a vehicle traffic system using an agent-based and object-oriented simulation model. The modeled vehicle can predict the movement steps of other vehicles whose trajectories intersect with the vehicle.

Abstract

The toast business in the Waena Perumnas III area, Jayapura City, is still using a manual management system in its operational activities, such as recording sales, managing menus, and compiling payment reports. This conventional process often causes various obstacles, such as recording errors, late reports, and difficulties in monitoring stock. This study aims to design and build a web-based management information system that can help facilitate the management of the toast business to be more efficient and organized. The method used in developing the system is Waterfall, which consists of the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and testing. This system provides features for managing sales data, raw material stock, and transaction reports, and can only be accessed by admins and cashiers. It is hoped that with this system, the operational process of the toast business will be faster, more accurate, and more integrated.

Abstract

The study assessed fit garment choices and usage of universities’ students: perceived consequences for well being. Two research questions and a null hypothesis guided the study. Study area was Delta state and 34,142 students constitute the population from all the seven public universities in the state. Through multi-stage sampling, two universities each (federal and state) were randomly selected. Then proportionate sampling was used to select 335 subjects and 9 users model were purposively selected. Structured questionnaire was used to collect the data; mean, standard deviation and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used for data analyses. Findings showed poor fit on students garment choices and usage viz; neckline sagging, shoulder not hanging smoothly, garment loose/sag at hip, above knee length, no ease in garment, usability and overall fit of garment when sitting, standing and in motion and these have negative consequences such as low self esteem, indecent appearance, lack of self confidence, sexual harassment among others on students well being. The small, medium, and large size-based students (users) did not significantly differ in their responses on 19 items on the fit requirements of the garments but, significantly differed on 17 items. Conclusively, well fitted garments enhance students’ self esteem, body image, self confidence, comfort and daily activities. Abstract

This research aims to explore the understanding of Christology in the daily lives of Christians in the modern era and its implications for faith growth. Within the context of pluralism, secularism, and technological advancement, the challenge is to uphold the authentic teachings of Christ. The research method employs a qualitative approach through literature study, in-depth interviews with theologians and congregants, and participatory observation in church activities. The findings reveal that a correct understanding of the person of Jesus Christ as both God and man is highly relevant in shaping the faith identity of Christians. Furthermore, the research illustrates how Christological teachings can be applied in everyday life, encouraging acts of love, integrity, and attention to social issues. Thus, Christology serves not only as a theological study but also as a practical guide for Christians to face contemporary challenges and effect positive change in society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of the client-centered counseling approach in fostering a healthier self-concept and to investigate how adolescents’ self-concept is influenced by their involvement in social media trends. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study focuses on adolescents aged 15–18 years who are active on social media and engaged in digital trends. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation methods. The findings reveal that adolescents’ involvement in trends is driven by social factors, such as the desire for acceptance and recognition, as well as personal factors, such as self-expression and enjoyment. Social media interactions, particularly “likes” and comments, have a significant impact on how adolescents perceive themselves, both positively and negatively. In addition, social comparison was found to be a major factor influencing how adolescents evaluate themselves. Because it emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness, the client-centered counseling approach is considered beneficial in helping adolescents develop a more authentic understanding of themselves. Therefore, this approach may serve as an effective way to help adolescents build a healthier and more stable self-concept in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pastoral message contained in the Ma'paluang dodo ritual at the wedding ceremony of members of the Makkodo Congregation, Simbuang Classis. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a field study method. Data were obtained through unstructured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation of traditional leaders, church councils, and the local community. The results of the study indicate that the Ma'paluang dodo ritual contains a strong pastoral message, namely (1) affirmation of unity and commitment to marriage through the symbol of the sarong as a symbol of inseparable unity, (2) the formation of independence of couples in resolving household conflicts without involving outsiders, and (3) the integration of cultural values and Christian values such as love, loyalty, and responsibility. This ritual not only functions as a traditional tradition, but also as a medium for contextual pastoral development that shapes the character and readiness of couples in living family life. Thus, this study confirms that local cultural practices have an important contribution in the development of a culture-based pastoral approach.

Abstract

In the capitalist system, capitalists view religion not only as a belief system, but religion is also seen as something that can be used as a tool for commercialization, even though religion is basically not something that can be commercialized. In this case, religion is commodified into the capitalist system to support marketing and gain large profits. Values, teachings, symbols, and religious figures are commodified into the market system as tools for exploitation in order to obtain maximum profit. The method used in this writing is a literature study by collecting various information related to the commodification of religion in the capitalist system through books, journals, articles, and so on.

Abstract

This study examines the optimization of cross-border trade and Special Economic Zones as strategic instruments for strengthening Indonesia–Malaysia economic cooperation in border areas. Border regions between Indonesia and Malaysia have long served as dynamic economic spaces shaped by proximity, social interaction, cultural ties, and daily trade. However, cross-border trade has not yet fully contributed to local economic transformation due to infrastructure limitations, regulatory differences, informal trade practices, weak logistics systems, and limited capacity of local business actors. Using a library research method with a descriptive-qualitative approach, this study analyzes academic literature, policy documents, official reports, and recent studies related to cross-border trade, Special Economic Zones, and bilateral economic cooperation. The findings indicate that cross-border trade serves as an economic foundation for border communities, while Special Economic Zones can provide added value through investment, industrial processing, logistics development, export facilitation, and employment creation. The integration of these two instruments can transform border areas from peripheral zones into productive and competitive cross-border economic corridors. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of regulatory harmonization, infrastructure connectivity, institutional coordination, digital trade systems, and empowerment of local communities and SMEs. The renewal of the Indonesia–Malaysia Border Trade Agreement provides an important legal foundation, but its effectiveness depends on practical implementation and multi-stakeholder collaboration. This study concludes that optimizing cross-border trade and Special Economic Zones can strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, enhance local economic resilience, reduce dependency, and support ASEAN regional economic integration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of the image of the Indonesia–Malaysia border region as a center for cross-border economic and tourism activities. Border areas are no longer viewed merely as administrative and security zones, but also as strategic spaces for economic growth, cultural interaction, tourism development, and bilateral cooperation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from secondary sources, including scientific journal articles, books, policy documents, institutional reports, and relevant previous studies. The analysis was conducted through literature selection, thematic classification, content analysis, and conceptual synthesis. The findings show that the Indonesia–Malaysia border region has strong potential through cross-border trade, cultural proximity, natural attractions, local communities, micro, small, and medium enterprises, and border infrastructure. However, this potential has not been optimally transformed into a strong regional image due to limited promotion, infrastructure gaps, weak destination governance, and the persistent perception of border areas as peripheral regions. Therefore, regional image development needs to be integrated with destination branding, regional branding, infrastructure improvement, local community empowerment, tourism product development, and cross-border institutional cooperation. The study concludes that the Indonesia–Malaysia border region can be positioned as a competitive cross-border economic and tourism hub if its image is developed consistently based on local identity, accessibility, service quality, and Indonesia–Malaysia collaboration.
