Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the research training model in elementary school and to examine its strengths, weaknesses, and impact on students’ critical thinking skills. The research training model is a learning approach that actively involves students in identifying problems, asking questions, gathering simple data, and drawing conclusions based on their own findings. Through this model, students are not only receiving information from the teacher but are also encouraged to think independently and discover answers by themselves. this research used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results show that the implementation of the research training model improves students’ ability to analyze information, express logical opinions, and solve problems in a more structured way. Students become more active, confident in asking questions, and able to provide reasons for their answers. the strengths of this model include fostering curiosity, learning independence, and higher-order thinking skills. However, several challenges were found, such as limited instructional time and the need for teacher readiness in guiding simple research activities. Overall, the research training model has a positive impact on developing elementary students’ critical thinking skills when implemented carefully and adapted to students’ characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the role playing method in improving speaking skills and self-confidence of elementary school students. The role playing method is a learning method that allows students to play certain roles in a situation so they can practice speaking, express their opinions, and show themselves more confidently. This study used a classroom action research method with stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data were collected through observation and documentation during the learning process. The results show that the role playing method can make students more active in speaking and more confident when performing in front of the class.

Abstract

This study discusses the concept of the love curriculum in the perspective of holistic education within the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum. The focus of this study is on the integration of moral, emotional, and social dimensions in shaping students’ character comprehensively. The research uses a library research method by analyzing relevant books related to Islamic education, curriculum development, and educational psychology. The findings show that moral integration builds ethical awareness and noble character, emotional integration develops self-awareness and emotional regulation, while social integration strengthens students’ ability to build harmonious relationships. The love curriculum emphasizes a humanistic approach that places compassion as the core of the learning process. It aims to create a balanced educational process that does not only focus on cognitive achievement but also on affective and social development. Thus, the implementation of the love curriculum contributes to forming students who are intellectually, emotionally, and socially mature.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in thematic learning to improve elementary school students’ problem-solving skills. The background of this research is based on the low ability of students to understand and solve problems related to their daily lives. Teacher-centered learning processes tend to make students less active and less trained in critical thinking. This research employs a quantitative approach using a simple experimental method. The subjects of the study were elementary school students participating in thematic learning. Data were collected through problem-solving tests, observations, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of the PBL model significantly improves students’ problem-solving abilities. Students become more active in the learning process, are able to collaborate better, and show greater confidence in expressing their ideas and finding solutions. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning model is effective in thematic learning to enhance problem-solving skills among elementary school students.

Abstract

Elementary school learning plays a crucial role in developing students' thinking skills, particularly critical thinking skills, which are crucial for facing the challenges of the 21st century. One learning approach that can be used to develop these skills is the inductive thinking model. This model emphasizes a learning process that begins with the observation of specific facts and progresses to the formation of more general concepts or generalizations. This model actively engages students in the thinking process, rather than passively receiving information from the teacher. This study aims to examine the implementation of the inductive thinking model in elementary schools, identify its advantages and disadvantages, and analyze its impact on students' critical thinking skills. The method used in this study was library research, which involved reviewing various literature in the form of books, scientific journals, and previous research findings relevant to the topic. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively to gain a comprehensive understanding of the application of this learning model. The results of the study indicate that the inductive thinking model has several advantages, including increasing student engagement in learning, fostering analytical and reasoning skills, and helping students understand concepts more deeply. Furthermore, this model is also effective in developing critical thinking skills because students are trained to observe, classify, compare, and draw conclusions independently. In this process, students not only memorize material but also understand the meaning behind the concepts they learn. However, implementing the inductive thinking learning model also has several drawbacks. This model requires relatively more time than conventional methods, making it less effective when used in limited learning environments. Furthermore, teachers are required to have advanced skills in designing learning and guiding students to ensure the induction process runs smoothly. Not all students have the same initial thinking abilities, so additional strategies are needed to ensure all students can participate optimally in learning. The impact of implementing the inductive thinking learning model on students' critical thinking skills is quite significant. Students become more accustomed to identifying problems, collecting data, analyzing information, and developing arguments based on available evidence. This indicates that the inductive thinking learning model can be an effective alternative for improving the quality of learning in elementary schools. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the inductive thinking learning model has significant potential for improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. Therefore, teachers are advised to integrate this model into the learning process while still considering student conditions and existing limitations. School support and teacher competency development are also important factors in the successful implementation of this model.

Abstract

Natural Science (IPA) learning in elementary school is very important in helping students develop scientific thinking skills from an early stage. However, teacher-centered instruction often makes students less motivated to explore and understand concepts independently. This study aims to explain how the Discovery Learning model is implemented in science instruction to improve the scientific thinking skills of elementary school students. The Discovery Learning model focuses on enabling students to discover concepts on their own through various activities such as observing, classifying, asking questions, formulating hypotheses (temporary assumptions), and drawing conclusions independently. This model encourages students to be more enthusiastic in exploring learning materials, enhances their curiosity, and trains them to think logically and critically. The study indicates that the use of the Discovery Learning method in science learning helps students more easily identify problems, formulate simple assumptions, think logically, and draw structured conclusions. Therefore, this model can effectively support the development of scientific thinking skills among elementary school students in an optimal way.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed organizational communication from conventional face-to-face interaction to online platform-based communication, along with the increasing adoption of remote and hybrid work in the post-COVID-19 era. This study aims to identify the transformation of organizational communication in the digital workplace and analyze its challenges and implications for communication effectiveness. The method used is a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed articles from Scopus and Google Scholar published between 2019 and 2026, using the keywords “organizational communication” and “digital workplace.” The selection process involved identification, screening, and eligibility stages based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Thematic analysis was conducted through coding and categorization to identify key patterns. The findings show that organizational communication has become more multidirectional and technology-driven, improving efficiency while introducing challenges such as limited non-verbal cues, information overload, and digital literacy gaps. Digital leadership plays a crucial role in fostering trust and communication effectiveness. This study concludes that digital organizational communication is a multidimensional phenomenon requiring an integrated technological, social, and psychological approach.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of social media and intercultural communication on cultural transformation within the Outer Baduy community. The research departs from concerns regarding the tension between technological modernization and the preservation of indigenous cultural identity. Using a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 390 respondents through structured questionnaires. Social media and intercultural communication were treated as independent variables, while cultural transformation served as the dependent variable. Data were analyzed using validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, and F-tests. The findings indicate that social media significantly affects cultural transformation (t = 7.374; p < 0.05), while intercultural communication also has a significant effect (t = 6.640; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables show significant influence on cultural transformation (F = 12.743; p < 0.05). The study reveals that technological openness and intercultural interaction contribute to shifts in identity, values, and social behavior among the Outer Baduy community. However, these transformations tend to occur through adaptive cultural negotiation rather than through erosion of traditional identity. This research contributes to communication studies by demonstrating that digital media can function not only as a driver of modernization but also as a medium for cultural adaptation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the class meeting model in improving elementary school students' social attitudes and sense of responsibility through a qualitative literature study approach. The class meeting model, developed by William Glasser, emphasizes group discussion, active participation, and collaborative problem-solving. Through a review of relevant literature, this study finds that the class meeting model consistently has a positive effect on students' social attitudes, including cooperation, communication, and empathy. Furthermore, this model has been shown to foster students' sense of responsibility toward themselves and their environment. Effective implementation requires thorough planning by the teacher, a conducive classroom environment, and integrated curriculum support. This study concludes that the class meeting model is worth considering as an alternative character education strategy in elementary schools.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the integration of humanistic learning theory in the practice of differentiated instruction in the 4th grade of SD Negeri 04 Karangsari, Jatiyoso, Karanganyar. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study methodology. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. In data analysis, the researcher will identify patterns and key findings from the interview, observation, and documentation data. Data validation is conducted by ensuring consistency among various data sources and avoiding research bias.
